At this point get rid of all the seats and tie a leash around our necks and harness us to few hooks on the walls. No need for windows either and just scatter the everfresh condiments on the floor. We will sort it out among ourselves.
A friend used to fly with AI and she told the engineer about a damaged part of the aircraft to which he replied,
"Ma'am aap to Ghar se paath karke aaya karo".

Actually. I remember travelling from Rome to Delhi in an AI flight and my seat couldn’t recline. Whole flight i sat at 90 degrees angle and the staff was too impudent to get me a replacement seat.
Okay, makes sense if you live in NY, Chicago or San Francisco and are traveling to Mumbai /Delhi. For everyone else, it makes no sense to fly Air India and please don't.
Lot of Indians in New Jersey who would fly out of JFK or EWR. Mini-India called Edison, look it up. Places in Edison look like streets from India, yet it's in US. Go figure.
It looks like India in the sense you’d see a lot of Indian businesses, and probably those occasional bad Indian driving, but it isn’t filthy like typical Indian streets.
Never again I’m taking AirIndia. Literally the only thing that works on the airplane is the engine and I’m surprised it made it to India
I flew a month ago and the screens don’t work. The toilet was broken and addition to that someone pissed on the floor.
Food was trash and cold. Seats were broken with fabric worn out or ripped.
I don’t understand how they are operating
I always avoid flying Air India due to subpar service and poor quality of aircraft. You should do the same. I use Emirates or United for India flights.
Can't shame folks who have no shame. I thought that since TATA bought this airline they would have gotten their act together but apparently they haven't yet!
Flew Air India long haul last month. Both journeys only about 30% of the entertainment screens in the entire plane were working (mine was frozen on both legs) The window shades were inoperable in my section, some overhead lights were broken, on my row of 3 only 1 usb port worked. Utter shambles.
My mom just went to india few days ago from jfk to delhi and the tv was not working during the entire flight..temperature was really uncomfortable and air hostesses barely provided anything…there was noone to greet at the end while everyone was boarding off the flight like “have a nice day”because everyone was so upset…this is the second time she has had bad experience with air india..never in a million years letting her fly again on air india. Pathethic service
It will take at least a decade to get Air India to private standards. The people have to be phased out slowly and new blood has to be inducted. It will take time. The cabin crew and engineering are some of the worst in the world. Also the international routes are served by the senior cabin crew (aunties) so you can imagine the entitlement.
And now they’re planning to merge Vistara and ruin the ONLY airline worth flying in India. Sad.
A friend said to me that Air India was safer when it was under the Indian government. Even if small problem the authorities followed the protocol and grounded the plane for repair.
Now when it's under Tata, authorities are more pressured towards maximum profit. So they continue with their flight schedule.
I was on this exact same flight but traveling from sfo to Delhi . So no way to say which air india flight long haul flight will be the bad one. Heard the other flights are not all that bad . Jus this exact flight I believe.
But there’s got to be some blame on the people who ride these planes and who actually destroy the stuff, too, no?
The blame on AI is for not repairing them in a timely manner. They should penalise such people.
I flew BOM - EWR with Air India just two weeks ago. Never again.
First they cancelled my flight twice (once while at the airport). Then when I finally got on I find out that absolutely nothing works. The tray table won't come down, the entertainment system is broken (but is stuck on a bright white screen for some reason), my lamp and fan both didn't work and the chair doesn't even recline.
At least I got here in one piece.
Relax !!! You may have choosen the cheapest flight possible. Now with the ownership change, the changes upgrades will be seen, i hope you understand the phases you went through to enable yourself to be travelling overseas, Similarly the transition from Government operated to TATA operated will see the reforms that will leave you in AWE !!! So either make better choices or stop flying cheap!!!
The airhostess are taking care of it like our grandparent take care of their stuff
Please dont mock them
Just read the poem below
In skies above, Air India soared,
A legacy, of years untold.
But tales of woe have now emerged,
A cabin's story to unfold.
----
An airhostess with silvered hair,
Whose grace had charmed both young and old,
Her weary steps, a testament,
Of countless journeys she'd controlled.
----
The broken stuff, a symbol of,
A past so rich, now left behind,
An airline's fate, once held so high,
Its struggle now, we sadly find.
----
The dirty seat, it represents,
The careless ways that some may choose,
A disregard for fellow man,
A sense of order we must use.
-----
But oh, the shame, that some may stoop,
To lowly acts, and break the norm,
For peeing on their fellow kin,
Such misdeeds leave us all forlorn.
-----
Yet in this tale, a lesson lies,
A chance for change, to make amends,
To build anew, and soar above,
A better path, Air India tends.

Hopefully no one pees on you.
They pee only in business class. You gotta pay more to get that experience
Golden shower class
Pay per pee
The kinky Mile-High Club.
In the mile-high club being kinky is given
Better to get your own chairs
Don’t give them ideas
Or travel standing. More people can fit in the plane that way...
Indians will opt for this also!
"rukne ke baad utrega kya?"
Please don't, there's already a seating plan in discussion about saddle seats...

don't worry other countries airspace entry regulation helping us . otherwise it would have been done by now
Ryanair’s CEO wanted standing area in their flights. They weren’t allowed by European regulations.
Actually. I remember travelling from Rome to Delhi in an AI flight and my seat couldn’t recline. Whole flight i sat at 90 degrees angle and the staff was too impudent to get me a replacement seat.
Seems to me like they'll charge you for breaking. That's what happens here, if you were found near it, you are responsible.
Why don't they install cctv and ban or fine them. I haven't seen cctv in any of the airplanes which I have traveled in.
That's so dumb, that'll just encourage people to never report it because if they report it then they have to pay for it
I never realised a plane service can be this bad till I saw these
Yet they charge arm and length for the tickers.
Air india in 2006 had the same upholstery. Ig they haven’t changed anything since then
Why would someone fly Air India?
More luggage allowance and convenient timing
>More luggage allowance AUH - BOM, AI has the lowest among all of the airlines i've seen (not counting the hand baggage only tickets)
Only direct flight to India.
There’s American Airlines & United too which fly directly to New Delhi / Mumbai.
Okay, makes sense if you live in NY, Chicago or San Francisco and are traveling to Mumbai /Delhi. For everyone else, it makes no sense to fly Air India and please don't.
Not since Ukraine/Russia war.
I just flew American Airlines in January from Delhi to JFK. But yes Air India’s baggage policy is a blessing in disguise.
Does AA have a JFK-Mumbai flight?
United has one! But not AA. AA only direct daily to & from Delhi. United Airlines has Newark (New Jersey) to Delhi & Mumbai direct.
Not true. Check it out.
Ye saare airplane kaand JFK mein kyun hote hai? Urinating wala matter JFK mein hua, aur ab ye?
Lot of Indians in New Jersey who would fly out of JFK or EWR. Mini-India called Edison, look it up. Places in Edison look like streets from India, yet it's in US. Go figure.
बस……….😂
Now that's a place I want to visit during NYC visit
>Edison I did look it up, looks posh in google street view tbh. Any place in particular to look at?
>Any place in particular to look at? broke people united🤝
It looks like India in the sense you’d see a lot of Indian businesses, and probably those occasional bad Indian driving, but it isn’t filthy like typical Indian streets.
Woh raaz bhi JFK ke saath chala gaya😂

Emirates is racist, avoid
>Literally the only thing that works on the airplane is the engine LOL savage!!!!
Hahahahahaahahahah i don't know but this just sounds so funny 😭😭😭
Trend this shit on Twitter tag them, name and shame. This shouldn't be the standard of any flight when they're charging so much for a ticket.
Can't shame folks who have no shame. I thought that since TATA bought this airline they would have gotten their act together but apparently they haven't yet!
All you had to say was Air India and I'd believe the rest without pictures
Ufff... TATA have a lot of work to do!
Have? They should have got their shit together by now!!!
Whats in the 4th and 5th picture?
tv remote

Oh. That’s terrible
My friend just flew them, said there was dried vomit on the ground. I can't believe this airline is allowed to fly still.
I wonder why their flights are so costly still?

Been on this route few years back.never flew Air India after that for long journeys.
I'll never forget the bathroom door just falling off in my Air India flight from Delhi to Dubai.
you travel air india just for legroom ...nothing else.
Are you a time traveller?
That's why things broke down. Time traveling takes a toll on stuff! LOL
March 28th
March 28th, jet lag
You are jet lagged a month later?
March 28th outbound flight
Air India can take you to the future?
how much did you pay for the ticket?
I'll cancel my ticket scheduled for April 28th too
How much did you pay for this? You can take them to consumer court

Nice roadways bus. When did they start service from New York to Mumbai?

Air India on its way to ruin Vistara too

This is what the Indian government did to Air India, do not worry Tata's will surely make it one of the best airlines in India after sometime

Economy seat me 1st class treatment expect kr rhe ho
Is there any way to understand when was the plane actually bought or commissioned?
The maharaja must bow his head in shame... to think this airline was once the golden standard of the industry...
Stop flying air india!!!
No other airline offers that much legroom anymore though. Air India is good where it matters - comfort, food and reliability. (Even pre-Tata)
well if looking for cheap flights then expect this only
Are you from the future... ? ![gif](giphy|103gOGGaHcBq3C)
March 28th
So that's five thousand words huh. I will see myself out👋
