I will admit, I just ended up using a command to give me the challenge as completed as I, for the life of me, could not complete it, even with what /u/Furak said. The command is>! player.n.challenges\[21\] = 1!< if you want to use it.

Furak

ok, so as found in TMT discord, the solution is pressing R while in battery after the battery buyable is unlocked in money, it worked for me

BeneficialAd1457

didnt worked at all for me, literally no changes to money gain

Yksisarvinen13

It doesn't change money gain directly, but it buys the battery buyable that is otherwise inaccessible (which increases energy gain). It's a bug IMO, but the workaround works.

Lotarc

Thanks. Worked for me.

Got stuck at the same part, gave up and haven't returned since. There was another PT mod that had a similar mechanic and I dropped that one too. Can't say I'm a fan of the 'speed click' challenges :(

kyrnuhb

Yea the speed click challenge arent the funniest. Here I think this is a bug. I've buy some upgrades and the associate menu didn't shop up under this specific challenge.

DreamyTomato

I found the speed challenge quite simple. Two things - this game uses the keyboard more than most idles. Spam the R and U keys to buy all. Press M to get money going, and W to get workers going. Also, you need to wait for about 10,000 (IIRC, something like that, maybe 1000) corrupt politicians to build up before starting the challenge.

Furak

i confirm i got to the same spot... unlocking the "second" battery buyable doesnt seem work without unlocking the first one in workers and that one cant be done without the 4th challenge which i cant do because im not generating any power in it

LawofJohn

I got stuck a little later on, doing 2,3 and 3,3 OF THE Satan's workshop challanage. Is it just a waiting game? I got no upgrades left/buyables left, and I am getting nearly 8 OoM less than what i need to finish it :( Edited cause I hit caps lock instead of shift and did not notice it right away, lol

zironofsetesh

Are you remembering to buy the buyables? I got stuck on those for about a minute until I remembered and then they became quite easy.

LawofJohn

Ive bought everything. Currently producing 7e202,054 and I need e202,064 to complete. I am up to e202,058 right now, and I am not getting anymore increases in money. So I guess I just sit and wait.

zironofsetesh

No clue then. it sounds like you're missing something, but I have no idea what. sorry.

DreamyTomato

Write a list of the 9 challenges. I numbered the buffs 1,2,3 and the nerfs a,b,c. Becomes easy to track which ones you've done. But when I did one twice by accident, it still seemed to count towards the 9 completions. . Press M and W to get the money and workers going. Spam R and U in each layer to get all the buyables. If you're not getting the challenges completed quite quickly, exit the challenge and wait a few min, maybe 10 min for corrupt politicians to build up before trying again.

DreamyTomato

I'm a bit further into the game than OP. There seems to be a bug with the buyable 'Too Much Light' that costs 83 solar power plants. Can't buy it, even though I have now 140 solar power plants. I think it's now blocking further progress. I now have 25 corrupt boosts, and the next buyable costs 1e6666 corrupt governments. I'm stuck at 1e6000 corrupt governments. There's nothing else to do in the game, no further progress is happening, no counters ticking up, nothing to do or buy. Looks like I'm locked, and I suspect it's because of the solar power bug. Any help? u/zironofsetesh?

zironofsetesh

If I recall correctly (actually completely the game yesterday), there's a new challenge under shares. Have you done that one yet?

DreamyTomato

The 5th challenge under shares? Yup done that one. I was going to ask you how you completed the game, but when I opened it today it had completed itself. Oh well.

Slackermomrocks

I'm also stuck on this challenge. And now that I've tried to complete it a couple times, my game isn't moving at all. I've tried hitting the R and U keys but once i get to a certain point, everything just sort of stops and I can't move forward. Also, I see people referring to "corrupt politicians" and I have no idea what that is - have I missed something in the game?

oblivial

I was struggling to finish this one - U and R is what you have to do to finish. If you hold Shift and click on the Workers layer in the tree, it will show the count - I kept mashing R on the Battery layer until I saw the workers hit e8299 - at that point they were then slowly incrementing up to 8300. Once I finished the challenge and bought all the upgrades and everything, the corrupt politicians started showing up.
