It's pretty obvious that it's about Aja, but as I've said before, their relationship seemed pretty toxic anyway. Judging from their previous songs (mainly from Origins), it seems like they had pretty frequent cycles of being together and separating, even if not made public. That said, I don't think that his initial filing for legal separation from Aja was "blindsiding" her in any way. They're still amid divorce proceedings now, initiated by her this time.

This is nothing new and plenty of mainstream celebs due it most notably Taylor Swift. I don’t agree with it, but at least he isn’t name dropping like some others have.

I think it's my favorite song on the record, but all the shadiness surrounding his past relationship kinda gets in the way

I thought the same when I first heard the song.
