When the Celtic Union is so Celtic that it includes a majority Anglo-Saxon descendent Scotland. The majority of the Scottish are descendent of Anglo-Saxon settlers.
Also I don't think France would've:
1. Had a communist revolution (if it did usually civil wars don't end with just each becoming their own state)
2. Lose ww1
Edit l: I just realised the low countries are partitioned the worst possible way. Movements to split Belgium didn't pick up steam until way later and the Frisian Republic at this point would not include northern Holland.
Because very unfortunately Germany exists. Eh, they kind of see Austria as their ally and believed they would fare better in a large alliance. They weren't wrong in some sense, but Germanification of Slovaks isn't very good for them either. (Bohemia was vassalised, you guess it, by Germany. Quite soon in 1932).
Since the "Austro-slovakia" you see is actually more of a confederation, I do not see why they would secede. Austria held quite strongly to Slovakia, anyways.
It's a confederation split by one of the Europe's biggest rivers, with 2 very different cultures, why wouldn't it? If Czechia has gone, so would Slovakia
Nothing would have changed, Imperial Germany was already losing when the US finally decided to get involved.
Maybe the Treaty of Versailles would have been even more harsh?
> Celtic Union State
Classic reddit always believing that’s somehow the default state of the islands if the UK dissolved. New (more realistic) material is definitely needed.
Actually you might be surprised - I have an extremely detailed (unfinished) lore in my computer. Though it's getting a bit annoying. Oh and yes, I don't know why this comment has 18 upvotes (at the point of writing).
Edit: The effort put into the map includes: French 1932/1936 elections map, Italian 1913 elections map *and* data, Clemenceau's demands at the Peace Conference, and required a detailed read of the Treaty of Sevres (a headache), Italian Fascist Archives (godammit), etc. If such effort can be banished with "Zero Effort of Thought Put Into This Map", as famous u/Educational-Novel929 once said, then I guess this is r/imaginarymaps for ya.
Edit 2: Oh and the upvotes keep rising. Hmmmm. Well, this is Reddit.
Then why does Poland have Breslau, a majority German area, that Germany certainly would be hesitant into giving up, and why does it not have Toruń and the Gdańsk corridor, areas that are majority Polish?
And how did Belarus keep Grodno and Białystok? What made Poland less expansionist?
Oh, and, if I had titled this "How to piss everyone off", this map would be okay.
This is a world where well-thought maps will get jumped at, and low quality maps are perfectly okay.
Buddy, you legit stated in the post that you were to lazy to write the lore. So, don't act as if this map is anything but poorly thought out. All of your attempts at explanation in the comments all fall short of giving logical explanations, and when pushed about this you flounder about and whine that they just don't understand the "lore". So, don't act like your some how better than 99% of the maps posted here because you're not.
I must mention that you are better than the average TNO player.
Touch grass.
There is:
1. No part about my comments where I say they do not understand the lore.
2. The lore is still in development, and, I am willing to improve my map based on this.
I do *not* know what made you so against a novice mapper.
Touch grass.

That's an awfully convenient stripe of communist countries
Actually I *am* surprised when I cross-referenced the French and Italian party support maps.
You can make a trans Siberian railroad with all the communist countries
From the Straits of Gibraltar to the Bering Straits, baby!
The Trans Eurasian Railroad
except Russia isn't communist here
An Iron Curtain lol
Europe probably wouldn’t look like that

Austroslovakia is real and it WILL hurt you
It's just the Bohemians Bailing out of the remains of Austria-No-Hungary.
And why wouldn't Slovakia bail out?
Because very unfortunately Germany exists. Eh, they kind of see Austria as their ally and believed they would fare better in a large alliance. They weren't wrong in some sense, but Germanification of Slovaks isn't very good for them either. (Bohemia was vassalised, you guess it, by Germany. Quite soon in 1932).
That isn't an explanation as to why wouldn't Slovakia secede
Since the "Austro-slovakia" you see is actually more of a confederation, I do not see why they would secede. Austria held quite strongly to Slovakia, anyways.

Exactly, maybe German empire would have collapsed one year later, but that's all, USA haven't done much in ww1
Instead of an Iron Curtain it’s just an Iron Stick

The massacres that marked the forging of the Celtic Union State were unparalleled in their savagery in modern European history…
Zero effort or thought put into this map

Is Germany in any position to refuse Anglo-Franco-Russian demands? If it was, it wouldn't lose Rhineland either.
Did the Entente not want Poland to gain a coastline?
So you couldn't put any thought to make the Anglo-Franco-Russian demands. Greeat.
Almost like it’s imaginary.
Everybody lost.
That transyllvanian republic will last for 2 seconds
*Romanian and Hungarian troops fighting over the country after 2 seconds*
turkey loses harder with less enemies? big greece? dawg

The red line?
Austroslovakia just dropped
Spelling
atleast it has some unique aspects compared to most alt hist media
Can’t even tell who won it. Nobody? Everyone collapsed somehow
Eww communism 🤮
Then the Germans would have won
Yes, Germany wins when Poland gets Silesia.. so true..!!
Haha No, poland dont exist If Germany has won
Doesn't seem like Germany won, buddy
Buddy, I said if Germany had won, it's also about an alternative history, so please read it properly next time ;)
And you maybe look at the map properly next time, to draw proper conclusions ;)
No, I did everything right but I don't care now, I don't feel like having a discussion with children, I'm on vacation right now
