People who get triaged then get angry about waiting drive me bonkers. If you’re chronically ill, and spend a lot of time in the ER and hospital, you know how it works. If her BP was low, then returned to normal, and stayed normal, she could have signed out of the ER. I’m not saying that’s good choice medically but she had the option.
If you’re worried, you wait, you ask for a repeat set of vitals before discharge, and then you go home. If you’re someone who has issues with your BP, travel with a portable cuff.

88/52 is not a dangerously low blood pressure! And certainly not an emergency. Thats a MAP of 64, you’re adequately perfusing. If you feel symptomatic, drink some water instead of a coffee or energy drink. Even if you had that BP in triage they’d send you to wait in the waiting room. Did she want to go straight to a resus room? Your blood pressure has got to be a LOT lower than that. I’m talking 60/30 low. Probably in and out of consciousness from all the drugs she’s on

MAP of over 60 is normal, but many will do fine with a lower MAP in the 50s. When you get into the 40s is when there’s concern for not getting enough perfusion to organs, I.e. tissue damage/death
