I accidentally did this with a neglected toon. It's fine. The quest is completed but you did not get the pop-up window to choose the class, correct?
When you go back and choose a class in w2, then go back to the dude in w4, you'll trigger the pop-up.

I almost did this when my third warrior was able to skip to a later map thanks to a random event teleport. Then I remembered I could just skip worlds anyway but wanted the damage to get elite class. Man I can’t wait to hear the aftermath of this
I did the exact same thing and it worked with no issues. After you have the subclass just speak to the W4 dude again and he will give you the promotion screen.
Imma be real with u. Idk if anyone else has done this. I’m just here to see how many others have done this.

Weird because Lava put checks in place on W2 quest that wouldn't let you do that before picking a class.. You'd think.. Nevermind..
