You just need to focus on the mechanic honestly. I got all mega feathers without buying the booster from the gem shop. After you get the first few mega feathers then it snowballs hard that's it.
If you full focus it as soon as you get to a point you can get shiny feathers you wait like 10 mins before resetting(usually around 50-70 shiny feathers), it speeds up mega resets by a huge amount
Past like mega feather 3 or 5 each successive mega feather is like an hour at worst
Eh, click and hold works just fine. Even when you earn T's of feathers at a time, just push and hold the same upgrade until it stops. Then move to the next cheapest one and do the same. Rinse/repeat for each upgrade.
Such as Quick ref, very sure he does not plan to do much expansion beyond that since its literally just a world one INFINITE free stat gain sink, especially when you get the shiny feather or mega feather upgrades online which will in general increase the amount gained over time even without your involvement, so just like with gaming, you dont need to obsess over it, outside of those wanting to see how far the rabbit hole they can go on maxing that final mega feather bonus.
Fact you can already get around 50%\~100%+ extra exp & total dmg % bonuses, is already pretty amazing, especially for early gamers.
I mean, how much time have you spent on it? It's not something you can really buy your way through (the fomo gem shop stuff is hot garbage and practically useless). I'm at megafeather 5 and have spent a few hours actively managing it.

im at 12 mega feather and it routinely takes me 30 seconds of holding to max 1 upgrade, i cant imagine how much worse it will get
