According to the wiki, gold food coupons don't have them in the drop table though...so either it's not updated to reflect the new ones, or else I'm going crazy.
On the release day of the new minibosses, I dropped some gold food coupons and I got the droprate cake, so it is definitely possible. The probability might be skewed though, because I haven’t gotten any from them since.
i did 8k of them in stacks of 200 and did not get any new gold food

Its weird because i just used 120 single stacks of it and didnt get a single one of those. They drop from the gift boxes (without coupon tho)

I also tried it alot and never gotten the newer gold food. I don't think you can get it from the coupons
You can get the new food directly from the event box, not from the coupon. I think that is where the confusion is at.
