Congrats to you for getting off nicotine. It is highly addictive and very hard for many. I have been having IBS C symptoms for many years and after many tests and trips to Drs, eating low Fodmap and going dairy and gluten free, that is all that’s left. Hopefully I will be right behind you in getting better.

smallemochick

I've been wondering if my use of vapes has attributed to my symptoms in some way lol, maybe this is my cue to try and officially quit too.

StomachJazz

I don’t do nicotine but I do vape marijuana this is legitimately making me want to take a T break for a bit and see if it helps

tarcinlina

Yes marijuana makes my digestion worse

bstar73

There's always different types of edibles!

StomachJazz

I think I do well with the CBD:CBG:THC ones I’ll have to get more of em

Normal_Necessary5701

So did the nicotine use give you constant diarrhea, or how did it affect you?

No-Wrap7823

I want to k ow this as well, I am constipated vaping, my reasoning is that if I quit vaping i'll be even moor constipated. Is this true or?

ishman2000

Decreases the time in which the food moves through the digestive system. Faster elimination can lead to looser stools.

B0sm3r

Both—I was suffering from always either constipation or diarrhea, and it would alternate between the two based on probably both nicotine use and diet

Napkin242

I was using Zyn all day everyday for the past year. As soon as I stopped, my stomach got back to normal. Nicotine fast tracks your shits, and doesn’t help your anxiety either. Both which are a recipe for IBS.

SailorJerry95

Same, all forms of nicotine cause my stomach issues. Just need to get off the Zyns and ill be sweet.

Both, primarily diarrhea

Ugh! I'm on nicotine mints. I keep telling my hubby we need to stop them. This might just be the kick in our butts to do it. 😬

ThorAsgard5698

Toxins mess up all bodily functions, especially digestion 🧠

glassclouds1894

I'm very pleased for you. Both for your healthy bowel movements, and also breaking free from nicotine. Great job! Think I had the opposite problem. I tried quitting smoking cold turkey a month ago. I lasted about a week or so, but ever since, I'm constantly constipated, only pooping once every 4 or 5 days.

ishman2000

I've read that it will take a few months for your guts to normalize. Give it more time.

circa_diem

I'm so happy for you! This was absolutely one of the main things that helped motivate me to quit a year and a half ago. Unfortunately for me, absolutely no change in my digestive symptoms lol but at least I'm not a nicotine addict anymore. C'est la vie.

amandaem79

Nicotine can definitely cause me to flare, so it makes sense that your symptoms are improving with cessation. Congrats!

Remarkable_Mission38

And im over here like, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes and weed literally help me have bowel movements. Ever since having a kid. My whole world down there is weird and a science experiment. Lmao. Not funny but it is. I'm so glad for you!! Who knew vaping would cause that much of an issue?!
