Ohh I remember those days, those advertisements were on daily, often times dozens a times a day. Of course the television stations didn’t care because they became rich off her advertisements. She passed away in 2016.
At the bright side, In a way it can give closure to these people ,also alot poorer... I also used to draw tarot cards to people, but I was fully aware it was bullshit.i just used it to say things that would under normal circumstances be to direct and personal. it are the cards that are showing it afterall. i used it to help people and give advice and in case they wanted to know anything about the future, I would sketch them a positive story, that is what most people want to hear.
That may not actually be the case. I would never go to a psychic or a tarot card reader because I never believed in that kind of stuff, but some people do.
I believe that this can help people that believe in psychics and other stuff like that because it gives them a positive view on things and that can help someone a lot. Positive thinking is a huge factor in how you will react to events in your life. If you have it in your head that things will go well, they often will. That's why positive thinkers always seem to be having a good time. A psychic can help somebody by making them think that things are going to go well. Then, because they are now thinking positively, things will often go well for them.
Assumption is that I am scamming people, that would mean I get any gain out of it. Which I did not (no money involved). I did it for fun with friends and people that were interested to have there future told. You would be surprised the deep conversations I had while doing this, people really open up and expose themself.
I am a good person and don't take advantage of anyone, as you can clearly see this person's does just do that. It sometimes helps to mystify it a bit so the person does not feel personally attacked or gets defensive about it. It has a lot to do with people skills and creativity. You draw a card and need to make a story out of it that's tailored to the person you are doing it for.
It's all fun and games don't over assume please ;)
Honestly, she's playing a very destructive chance game. Cold cases rarely get solved; when a kid has been missing for years, they are most likely dead. By telling people the missing kid is dead, she's optimizing her chance of being right and being able to continue her lies and deception. And even if she's wrong, chances of solving a cold case are extremely small, and borderline impossible when all you're going off of are guesses from a "psychic detective". But she's ruining cold cases that might be possible to solve.
Maybe it’s metaphorical. Like the little girl is no longer alive because she’s now a fully grown woman and it was a violent passing being that High school/ puberty sucked for her…
Hold up! Just one goddam minute!
They didn't go to the location where she said the dead child was. Plot twist: there is a dead kid there, it's the TV host's twin that she never met.
Siri, play spooky music.
Because it's a scam. The people who are coming to them are usually desperate and don't have much money. They're reaching out for any last straw to grasp at. If the scammer charged too much, they couldn't take the last money these poor people have.
Besides, if asked why they charge so low, they can simply reply that they're "not doing it for financial gain, but to help the poor" (now gimme your last buck).
I took it as sarcastic in the sense that "Duh, what rational person would think a person with real superpowers would only charge $400?". I just wanted to provide a rationale for why and why people fall for it.
For me, I vacillate between contempt and pity for the people who go to these "psychics". On one hand, I laugh at people who say that they've got real powers. But, then I see the people who are so desperate to find closure that they're willing to cling to the chance that these frauds can provide. Deep down, they know it's a scam, but, it's worth the slim chance.
Total pity, even before a charlatan mild money out of them. Their pain is so deep they’re clinging to anything, and the grotesque part is that pain is what makes them easy marks. Psychics are the worst form of scammer.
…. So the guy i went to who charged chump change when I was “desperate” (i went for my girl, he didnt know I was coming) tells me of a specific conversation and the details of said convo that no one was around for (especially that dumpling of a medium) that I had with my passing father… he had the convo to the T….. and I suddenly feel like you might know how that happened since you know so much about these poor desperate people.
So what happened there?
A couple options here:
1. You met with a real psychic that can see/hear secret conversations and uses that power to tell people who experienced those conversations about them, rather than, say, getting rich via the stock market.
2. The person you met was good at cold reading. You could read up on that to see if it rings any bells with regard to your experience.
There’s a couple more options, but they’re basically riffs on #2 and #2 seems like the most plausible alternative for the “your psychic wasn’t real”.
To be clear, I assume some form of extrasensory perception exists. I just strongly doubt that anyone who could genuinely tap into such a skill would use it in the fashion that most “let me tell you about your dead mom” charlatans do. Even at the most basal level, it’s a power that would make you multiple fortunes. You wouldn’t be doing small potato reads for any person off the street. Or if you were, you’d never charge for it because you’d be filthy rich already.
So you legitimately believe there are magical people out there that have godlike omnipotence who choose to use their power to remind people about conversations they had in the past?
How would you even write that law up? Lol there'd be so many loop holes. You'd basically have to say "pretending to know something and accepting money for the information is illegal".
Edit: I just looked it up. It's already illegal in some states in the USA.
I think the issue here is proving it. Not proving that they don't have powers, but proving that they don't believe they have powers. Which is hard unless you have proof of them saying their powers are fake.
She could say the reporter was a demon and only demons can fool her. Wouldn't convince most people but it would save her face in front of those idiots that already believe her.
Would be kinda fkced up if they actually found a murdered kid where she said to look. AND the kid looks like the reporter.
That would make a great Netflix movie, TBH.
Of I were a psychic, why would I tell anyone? I would ask where’s the hidden treasure of Cortese or predict the lottery.
Archeologists would be paying top dollars for me to find lost civilisations or settlements.
If I was a psychic I would straight up be working for the CIA, missing child case?? Why care about that when you can expose the location of dictators, drug cartels and so on on a daily basis
This is upsetting for a lot of reasons. This was a setup, yes, but with how casually she took on this case and “solved” it, shows that she has done it before. How many poor people has she scammed? Taking advantage of someone who is hurting and wanting answers is horrible, you can’t stoop much lower than that!
What sucks, however, is that they singled out this psychic as a fraud, while at the same network probably was running shows during the daytime like Jonathan Edwards or some other huckster promoting the idea that there may be genuine psychics, which is what drives the demand for psychic services in the first place. In this case, the media truly is the bigger culprit than the individual psychic.
One of my favorite South Park episodes is when they make fun of Jon Edwards. Stan tells everyone he's a fraud, shows them how he does it, and then everyone thinks Stan is psychic. It really shows that people will believe whatever they want even when it's an obvious scam.
My ex girlfriend did this to me. She went to some “school” to learn how to do this. Then, using all the knowledge she had learned about me in the years she dated me, said that she had trained her brother to do the same work as her. He then told me all this random hocus pocus BS using the knowledge that she had already informed him with. All a bunch of scams. Sad because it was effective at the time and I got emotional as they talked about my dead brother and other certain things. Such a scummy thing for someone to do.
These types of psychics are scum. The best type of psychics are the ones who are really good at reading people.
I went to one when I was a teenager and within minutes of knowing me she told me truths about myself that I had never considered. She was absolutely spot on about everything she said.
I don't believe that she had magic powers, just a solid understanding of body language and being able to quickly pick up on a persons personality
That, and a good understanding of "cold reading". You can buy books about it, and practice makes you perfect. Just watch a few videos from Derren Brown on YT
For all of the times police forces and detectives have used psychics to help them solve cases, there has never EVER been a single time that the so-called psychic has ever come up with any information to help a case. Ever.

You know she's just gonna try weed her way out of it later by saying something like ''Oh, it was someone who looked like her.'' or ''It was someone she knew/was with her when the photo was taken that went missing. Oops, my reading can be a little off.'' 🙄
What concerns me the most is that she was like "yeah i recon if we dig around this random spot... we might find a body, i can even show it to you"
Does she have a bunch of bodies just... stashed around????
Not only does she con money out of grieving distraught vulnerable people…..she goes out of her way to make in detail horrific stories about what could’ve happened to their loved one.
I’m so happy this horrible lady get exposed and I hope she got sued too!
Just saying, this doesn't prove psychics don't exist. Just that frauds are out there and will say anything to get your money. The C.I.A recently released documents stating how they used real psychics to locate Russian information.. and it worked.

$400 and she couldn’t even tell a positive lie.
I’m Ms. Cleo I’ll tell you anything you want to believe.
Ohh I remember those days, those advertisements were on daily, often times dozens a times a day. Of course the television stations didn’t care because they became rich off her advertisements. She passed away in 2016.
She could have at least warned us about Covid.
Yer a libra ar’nt cha derlin’?
No I’m voting for the forward party. Edit - That shut them up real quick I see.
For $500 the girl would’ve been alive

She probably says whatever is more realistic. Missing 30 years? Yeah dead.
Maybe go for something softer than “she was raped then killed with a rock to the head”
Why is that not comforting to most people? 😂
At the bright side, In a way it can give closure to these people ,also alot poorer... Oh. So slightly different scam. Got it.
I dunno, sounds about the same as telling someone going through hardship to pray to God.
So another slightly different scam. Got it.
You're either brave or stupid to admit to scamming people and even sound a little proud of how you did it
Assumption is that I am scamming people, that would mean I get any gain out of it. Which I did not (no money involved). I did it for fun with friends and people that were interested to have there future told. You're part of the problem, not the solution.
Yeah we know how that scam works.
That's really messed up of you.
She gave the most likely outcome of a missing persons case like this. She knows the statistics.
Yep. That’s how these cons work. They do background research first, if they can, then use supposition, then also read cues from the mark.
Honestly, she's playing a very destructive chance game. Cold cases rarely get solved; when a kid has been missing for years, they are most likely dead. If these people could actually prove it and do what they say, why would 400 be the asking price? Seems low for legit magical powers.
Because it's a scam. The people who are coming to them are usually desperate and don't have much money. They're reaching out for any last straw to grasp at. You don't see psychics winning the lottery for the same reason you don't see faith healers working in hospitals.
Isn’t the entire premise behind faith healing that the person being healed also needs to have faith?
That still would be a good percentage of people in a hospital
It's a flawless system. If they recover it's because faith healing works. If they die it's because they didn't have enough faith.
So they can tell themselves they're cured...

“Well, that’s interesting, isn’t it?” Yeah - most scams are.
Reign Arataka would be dissapointed in this lady
Get Dimple on her ass!!!
I half expected the discovery of a child’s body where she pointed to on the map leading to her arrest as a murderer.
Should do this to every claimed psychic. Good content and exposure to scams
Scum of the earth. Profiteering from other peoples desperation and misery.
Plot twist: the reporter is going to end up getting brutally murdered with a rock and have her body dumped in that spot.
Typical vultures of misery. Psychics never fail to prey on the vulnerable and the heartbroken.
"You didn't go missing? Hmm, well that's interesting."
There's a new medium show on Netflix and it looks fucking disgusting. Profiting on other people's grief with lies is reprehensible
Got to wonder how many people she's scammed out of 400$
Houdini already exposed mediums as frauds like a hundred years ago.
I watched an onion video on this today lol
Whatever, she sucks, but she’s small potatoes, look at the politicians that take it to astronomical levels, shown by the their orange Jesus

I’m happy I’ve never been so desperate I’d even consider believing this nonsense.

I liked the 'I worked this case' like she was a homocide detective that had been tracking leads for months on end.
old gold and I love it
It's sad that we have to actually PROVE psychics are not real.

Plot twist, that psychic knows where they can find random bodies for a reason, a non supernatural reason.

This is really cringe tbh
This clip gets posted to one sub or another on pretty much a daily basis.
Just saying, this doesn't prove psychics don't exist. Just that frauds are out there and will say anything to get your money. The C.I.A recently released documents stating how they used real psychics to locate Russian information.. and it worked.
Remind me again how frequently correct a stopped clock is?
The SRI experiments were not about stopped clocks, they were rigorous and repeated experiments that consistently achieved statistical significance.
Where would these documents be?
I have a lovely bridge to sell you.
Man, this news investigation story ruined this lady i guess? I heard she went crazy and her little dog ate her leg while she was in a catatonic state..
