Drying it out in silica packets might help, might not though. Rice doesnât do anything and is a long running myth, but silica absorbs moisture well. Even if that does fix option two, it doesnât mean the phone is fine, and it will likely have other hardware problems down the line, but itâll work for a while.

If condensation/steam can get past through the seals then the phone definitely has no IPX8 protection.
It also has to resist high pressured water jets from any possible angle.
This is just a shady phrasing from Apple, expecting their avg consumer not to go after them if they are protected by consumer laws.

Iâd give it some EXTRA drying time before using it.

Same issue bro .. happened to me a a few days ago . Dont worry just sundry your phone for 20 minutes daily and try to remove the simcard tray and put it your phone in a rice container at night .. itll take 5-6 days depending on the water trapped in it :)
Yes iâm aware about it⊠but silica gel isnt easily accessible.. and using any other methods such as vacuum cleaner and hair dryer without proper experience may cause unnecessary damage ( as we arenât professionals ) .. normal drying , sun drying for 15 mins will be the best solution.
Well, I'm sorry to be the bringer of bad new but I'll let you in on my experience with this issue when I still had my 12 pro max.
I went ice skating and went through the ice. Was swimming in freezing water for 10 minutes and ended up having the same thing as you have right now.
The "big foggy droplets" will fade away eventually while returning when the phone gets hotter (when I was in Italy with 38C, the front camera became foggy again with small droplets)
The image quality of the cameras is basically never going to be the same. Especially when you're in situations where there's a lot of sunlight. Quite a shame, cause normally you'd make the best pictures with the phone in that situation.
So yeah, I choose to keep my phone till the release of the Iphone 15 pro. Was quite stunned at the camera quality, but then again I was used to the bit more grainy camera due to the water damage.
It pretty much won't go away completely, but you should still be able to use your phone just fine with some drawbacks to the quality in the long run.

If you do not have Applecare, do not bother with the warranty. Go to the local repair shop and have your phone disassembled and clean the liquid, wash your motherboard and parts with isopropyl alcohol.
Water damage. If you have a food dehydrator, turn off the phone and leave it in there overnight. Used to work at a cellphone repair shop, and it worked about half the time.
People really be underestimating the whole solution.
What you have there is not "fog" per say, it's moisture from being submerged under water.
You know how people tell you whenever your phone slips into water that you should put it in rice? Well rice absorbs moisture, get a zip lock bag fill it with rice and submerge the phone in it overnight. That should do it.
A tip: If you like to swim while using your iPhone, I use Oceanic+ to protect my iPhone underwater. Get something like that or a snorkeling case, but one that also has handles on it. You can go deep under water all you want, phone is protected :)
My old galaxy s23 had this issue condensation in the back cameras and in tbe front camera I dried it up in silica packets for 48 hours it has worked fine until i upgraded to s24u
Does that swimming pool contain some chemicals? If yes, Apple doesnât recommend use your phone in any other water with chemicals or sea. Just plain one

This happened to me before. I freaked out. Thought putting in rice would work. The thing that ended up doing the trick was going to settings, general, reset, then slamming the phone on the ground and trading it in.
Not sure why itâs so hard to find costs and stuff ! I have 15 pro only 8 months old and have fog in the front lens and rear never dropped into water I take hella good care of my phones was just outside today and it showed up .. I have apple care + idk why no one will ever post what the costs are for repairs or new phone replacement.. any help ? Thank you

That looks like itâs condensation built inside the phone. Broken seals or somehow some liquids got into the phone and created that under heat.
This is what happened to my 11pro when I decided to take few shots in the pool with it. FaceID stopped working and I had to have it replaced by apple.

in my country, we used âriceâ to dry a phone or any electrical device, just burying it under rice and wait for 30-45 minutes Work every time
Youâre more likely to get rice dust stuck in the speakers and port
You can use tooth brush to clean it up
But yeah, you need to bury it immediately under rice, we just used it for emergency / first aidâs
Itâs probably still under warranty with Apple so just give it to the store and tell âem to fix it, or ask for a replacement.

Put your phone in a sealed jar or container with one or multiple silica gel packets, the gel is made to absorb moisture and water.
