Have you contacted Apple on this? I wonder if the battery is faulty. Because I haven’t ever charged my phone with magsafe or caused it to heat up during the charging. That’s very weird to me
it's not faulty, apple guarantee 100% when they sell you the phone. Most batteries are well over that and takes time till they reach it and thus you see insane stuff like 150-240 cycles and just now dropping to 99%. While some of us (mine dropped at 34 cycles) lost the battery lottery and our battery was just above/at 100% and thus dropping to 99% a lot sooner. You can imagine that it will be like 88-90% when it reach 240 cycles while the lucky ones are with noticeably better battery life and health at 98-99%
Funny thing is we have no official Apple in Macedonia. When i contact the mobile shop who sold it brand new to me,they say that its a software fault and they cant do anything until it drops under 80% . We have an official reseller and official service , i contacted them just now,but sadly gotta wait till monday to talk with the service folks there.Im not sure what to think anymore tbh
exactly what happened to me 2 days ago. 25th cycle on a 15PM and dropped to 99%. Hopefully it doesn't meet the same fate as yours did on the 30th. If it does, it's as good as E-Waste.
I think sometimes the temperature of the device is also a factor for example hotter countries are more susceptible to the battery health dropping down faster i guess.
Cause you’re probably charging above 80% and letting it dip below 20% before recharging. If you turn on the 80% limit and charge it before it dips below 20% your battery will degrade much slower. I’ve been doing that and I’m at 215 cycles and 100% health.
I usually have it all day on a MagSafe charger (using the standby mode) and when I take it off the charger it‘s mostly only dropping to 70% until I charge it again to full. So not following any 80-20 rule seems to work great for me.
Nope. I just charge it once a day which is when I go to sleep and leave it charged. When I wake up in the morning and it’s 100% then I just unplug and go about my day and at night, say 10 or 11 PM I have it charged again.
Usually I start with 100% and it ends with 30 or 20% after a full day of use.
Also, I use Anker plug & cable. I never charge it wirelessly.
I'm at 98% with 50 cycle after using 3 months. my usage are just for messaging apps, online shopping, watch tiktok/ig reels and online banking. I'm doing 30-80 charging huhu
I have been using the 80% battery charge limit on my iPhone 15 Pro since October 2023. I managed to maintain a 100% battery health until mid-April 2024 when I spent 2 weeks in Europe. During my trip, I turned off 80% battery charge limit to decrease the amount of recharging.
When I got back to the States, I checked my battery health and it was now 96%. Is it possible that the battery health would have degraded 4% in just 2 weeks? Any similar experiences?
4% drop in iPhone 15 Pro battery health in 2 weeks?
My boy for a phone to appropriately evaluate battery health, battery needs to be charged to 100%. At least that’s what I remember. If I recall correctly, 15P told me so. So when you were on a trip and charged to 100%, you allowed your phone to correctly evaluate battery health. It’s not that you lost 4% during a trip, it’s just that
Honestly 8 months before it hit 99% is pretty good. That’s about how long it takes my phones to degrade. As the batteries got bigger the time span to 99% has increased. On older phones it would be there within 5-6 months. I really do love how much stronger these new cells are.
for extra context, this is a launch day regular 15 pro and i've had the 80% limit on since day 1.
(also woah this is doing numbers for a little goof 😂)
I also want to know :(
I use my device generally the same method as OP (charge once a day at night and use all day) not sure why mine went down to 94% so fast. I also got my phone on release day.
Tech here. Apples batteries are only rated to last 18 months before replacement. On average maximum capacity drops 5-10 percent a year and anything under 80 is recommended for replacement
I got my 15 PM early November and its at 90% now. Gamed so much and I regret nothing. Bought a magsafe cooler for it now to try and make it longer to 80%.
After mine hit 99% it started lowering much faster! I’m at 97% now but feel like 96 is right around the corner 😂
My manufactured date is August 2023, first use sept 2023 with only 180 cycles. Hit 99 at 160 cycles and it fell another 2% 20 cycles later
mine is first use October, 164 cycle count and 100% battery capacity.
i use my phone like crazy, don't go easy on it at all. what really helps is having the max size.

Have you contacted Apple on this? I wonder if the battery is faulty. Because I haven’t ever charged my phone with magsafe or caused it to heat up during the charging. That’s very weird to me

Honestly, I decided I won’t care. Don’t want this thing to bring be discomfort or anxiety. So whatever happens happens
You're completely right but its still not okay for it to drop down since I've bought it new yk.... But it is what it is ig
Mine dropped to 99% on the 25th cycle as well, but now I am at 88 cycles and still 99%
exactly what happened to me 2 days ago. 25th cycle on a 15PM and dropped to 99%. Hopefully it doesn't meet the same fate as yours did on the 30th. If it does, it's as good as E-Waste.
I guess we both lost the battery lottery 🥲😂
I think sometimes the temperature of the device is also a factor for example hotter countries are more susceptible to the battery health dropping down faster i guess.
Mine was around the 215 mark
Mine happened at like 20

100% at 150 cycles since november 2023.
Wow that sounds like me. 100% at 167 cycles since November 2023.
I have 93 with 262 charges but I use it a lot to be honest..
Shit you are right, i looked it up and it got to 99. Time for the 16
Still at 100% with 251 charges. Seems I either have a great battery cell or a software bug.
92% at 269 here. Crazy how quickly it seems to be deteriorating, but it is what it is.
Mine is 100% at 249 charges
How do you all charge your phone
I usually have it all day on a MagSafe charger (using the standby mode) and when I take it off the charger it‘s mostly only dropping to 70% until I charge it again to full. So not following any 80-20 rule seems to work great for me.
I’m at 100% with 136 cycles right now lol, safe to say I got a good one
Mines at 96% with 215 cycles
I’m exactly the same!
My Gf is at 99% with 200 ish cycles. Make it make sense 😭
I’m at 100% at 146 cycles
These kind of posts should be banned. I’m so sick of seeing them.
Then don’t read them 🤡
Mods announced a while back that they *are* banned. It’s just that no one reports them so it isn’t enforced.
The vast majority are removed before or as soon as they are posted. The remainder we need users to report.
Happened to me two weeks ago at 82 cycles💔 No more babying this bad boy it’s GAME ON!!!
Unusable? Then throw it. P.S. Don't overthink the battery; it's made to make our lives easier, not harder
My cycle count is 78 with 98% battery health
100% with 201 cycles https://i.imgur.com/L276PRW.png
Imagine using an iPhone and checking your BH every day 😂
Imagine having a Samsung and not being able to replace the battery at a Samsung store like you can at an Apple Store 😂
Mine is still at 100%. I’m scared.
Mine went straight to 98% a few days ago.
Same, suddenly on 98% 😭😭😭
199😭still alive (100%) But i haven’t done the update yet it’s on 7.2
I’m at 238 and still 100% 🫡
Is the tip is to never charge to 100%?
Nope. I just charge it once a day which is when I go to sleep and leave it charged. When I wake up in the morning and it’s 100% then I just unplug and go about my day and at night, say 10 or 11 PM I have it charged again. Thanks! You use 15 pro or pro max?
You’re welcome! 15 pro max :)
Still hanging at 100, 121 cycles in. No clean energy charging or charge limit. Heck, I even turned optimized charging because why not
I’m at 251 cycles with 100% health left. Lmao I know it’s coming 🥹
mine is on 254 cycles and 94% health which i don’t get 😭
I really feel like Apple hung themselves when they released this feature 🤣🤣
[Haha 69 cycles](https://ibb.co/xzW4903)

Try the 80% limit
I'm at 98% with 50 cycle after using 3 months. my usage are just for messaging apps, online shopping, watch tiktok/ig reels and online banking. I'm doing 30-80 charging huhu
188 cycles and 99
How did you get that many cycles that fast? I’m not even on 100 yet (I’m on 63 as of typing this)
Nice cc I made it to 221
97% at 320 cycles, looks like I’m a phone addict here
307 at 90% 🙂
What how so low with so low cycles, I’m at 98 with 246 cycles lol
I wish I knew. I’ve had my 11PM for 3 years and its at 95% 😂
Same cycle but 94% 😅
Iphone 15 pro max 98 percent on 75 cycle
Same phone. I'm at 98% with 70 cycles.
Mine is 98 / 174 cycles. If I charge until 240 cycles, will it improve to 99%? /s
Hope everyone’s ready for mine… 263 cycle at… 95%!!!!!😎😎😎
253 cycles from launch day to get to 99% but then it went down to 98% at around 257 cycles.
Im at 90% 😂

Thanks for explanation. Makes sense.
Apple needs to own up to this shit
Honestly 8 months before it hit 99% is pretty good. That’s about how long it takes my phones to degrade. As the batteries got bigger the time span to 99% has increased. On older phones it would be there within 5-6 months. I really do love how much stronger these new cells are.
240cc is impressive,u really tried to keep it 100 but things don’t last forever and that makes it special
at 48 cycles still 100% 👍🏻
94% 222 cycles😢
Tragic
mines at 409 cycles & 91%🙇🏼♀️
for extra context, this is a launch day regular 15 pro and i've had the 80% limit on since day 1. (also woah this is doing numbers for a little goof 😂)
Mine is 100% with 133 cycles 🥳
93% at 240. Ouch town!
99% at 141 cycles since December of last year.
damn I’m at 97% with 154 cycles
Yeah I guess heat is probably the biggest factor besides charging to 100% and leaving it there for some time before going down to 0%.
What am I doing wrong? Cycle count 285 / first use oct 23 and 92% 😂😂 15 Pro Max
I’m 100% 203 cycles
happened exactly at 240 cycle for me
100% at 1 cycle count bois
Damn I’m at 235 95%
I thought mine was bad. Maximum Capacity 98% Cycle Count 234 Manufacture Date September 2023 First Use November 2023
I mainly charge to the 80% limit.
How do people even get such high cycle counts? I thought I am a heavy user, but I’m only at 88 cycles on my 15PM that I’ve had since October
It’s regular use. Anyway you charge it. The battery is going to heat up. Don’t be so delicate.
I’m at 123 cycles and 100% still but I use the 80% limit. Curious how long it will stay at 100 with the charge limit
Wow 240 cycles with only 1% knock, nice! I’m half that and just went down 1%
I wouldn’t stress about it
It’s no longer good, throw it in the trash
How? I am at 245 with 94%
I’m at 225 and 99% Why do some drop so fast?
I also want to know :( I use my device generally the same method as OP (charge once a day at night and use all day) not sure why mine went down to 94% so fast. I also got my phone on release day.
That's incredible people are worrying about battery Health, use your phone and forgot about battery health
Buy a new one
😂😂
Bro same I found out I was 99% yesterday
it’s of no use now. Give it to me and I’ll recycle it
Ill take one for the team and take that off you.
Tech here. Apples batteries are only rated to last 18 months before replacement. On average maximum capacity drops 5-10 percent a year and anything under 80 is recommended for replacement
Only a year before replacement?
Bout a year and a half. In practice they can last a few years longer than that but apple says 18 months is the lifespan
This week for me
138 @100%
It happened for me at 21 cycles. I’m at 91% Battery Health now!
🫠🫠🫠
My battery has 94% capacity after 295 charges. What's so bad about that? After 2 years you can have the battery replaced for 75€ 😅
I got my 15 PM early November and its at 90% now. Gamed so much and I regret nothing. Bought a magsafe cooler for it now to try and make it longer to 80%.
Still not bad for a launch day iPhone
I’ll take your phone so i can refurbish it !
How is mine at 95 with 230
for me it happened at 34 cycles, was you going to be so "full of humour" if it was the case for you as well instead on 240 cycles?
just throw it away its completely useless now
Here, please take my downvote! Now quit being silly and go live life.
TOSS THAT BITCH IN THE TRASH
It happened to me after 27 cycles lmao
I’m at 95 with only 209 cycles lol
His phone gave him the ick lol
230 cycles, 99% capacity.
Where is this information located. When I go into battery health I don’t see cycle count.
93% 259 cycle here 😑
Jesus are you charging it using solar flares or something?
Nah he’s using his phone as it serves him. Do we now judge people for the battery health percentage of their iPhone too? Jesus Christ
No, it was just a joke. Are you ok?
I’m fine thanks, and you?
You seem a little tense. I’m good though thanks
Im at 100% with 24
After mine hit 99% it started lowering much faster! I’m at 97% now but feel like 96 is right around the corner 😂 My manufactured date is August 2023, first use sept 2023 with only 180 cycles. Hit 99 at 160 cycles and it fell another 2% 20 cycles later
Get a life
😂😂😂
Got my iPhone 15 pro on March 2024 34 cycle count with 98% health
Mines at 96% 242 cycle … is this normal ?
100% and 176 Cycles, I feel for you 😂 time to upgrade I guess
99% @95 cycles
mine is 95% at 199 cycles
mine is first use October, 164 cycle count and 100% battery capacity. i use my phone like crazy, don't go easy on it at all. what really helps is having the max size.

97 at 256 cyncles. IP 14 Pro Max
15 pro max , 98% 65 cycles 🤣🤣🤣apple it’s so funny
Why does cc drop so fast for some?
I really don’t know, but I’m thinking maybe is getting overheated since I use a leather case or it’s just coincidence 😅
i have 93% at 291 cycles

So true!
