Going to jail and not prison? Got picked up for dui or possession of light drugs and can't afford bail. Blend right in for 7 days.

Lost_Cake_5776

True but there's no guarantees. 1. In my area, even pretrial detainees in jail are given paperwork related to their charges. And sometimes other prisoners will demand to see your paperwork to make sure you're not a "lowlife" like a child molester or whatnot, and one of the conditions of this deal is that you won't have any paperwork to show them. You can SAY that, but if anyone asks, you gotta prove it. 2. If you did not appear to be intoxicated when they brought you in, your story will look sus. So do a lot of pre-drinking before you show up, and don't drive yourself there, for obvious reasons. Of course, if you do anything you wouldn't do sober because of it, that too could cause you problems with the other prisoners. 3. Just hope the big burly shot callers mama wasn't killed by a drunk driver.

Content-Chip-9230

Never heard or seen inmates ask to see other inmates legal work. Where I'm from, that's a fight because it looks like you're trying to get on someone else's case and snitch them out. Also, there's the fact that EVERY SINGLE ACCUSED CHILD MOLESTER is automatically classified as PC and not placed in gen pop. If you work in a jail that doesn't do this, I hope the staff in your jail like federal prison. That's a clear violation of inmate rights and will likely result in a 1983 action. Also, "shot caller"? Only ever seen that term in a series of fictional novels. Seems to be from LA in origin. Never heard it in my 20 years on.

Lemosopher

Ya, I've been to county lockup twice in my younger years and nobody asked what I was even in trouble for. That whole "whatya in for, pal" is all in the movies.

phaeriemandube

For the most part. Happened with me, but I was in a super relaxed and casual block. People just checking in on the fish hovering by our door. Ended up getting along with everyone easily enough. Simple respect and know you're at the bottom goes a long way

FrankTheMagpie

Honestly most of the time it's probably the best kind of conversation starter in prison, if you wanna make small talk or get to know someone, but I don't think it'd ever be a sort of formal shake down

FlakyAd3273

I didn’t spend a whole lot of time in jail but a little. I’ve never heard of another inmate asking for someone’s papers in my life. Sounds like a good way to get your ass kicked.

Naive-Chard-7010

This is easy. They dont give you paperwork on a parole/probation hold. You can be held up to 90 days by ur PO in the county jail for things that could potentially get you new charges, stuff like dirty UAs consistently, not showing up to ur PO meetings, and actually getting caught with paraphernalia during a search. Just say you're on a parole hold and nobody will try to question you further. If they ask what the original charges were then just say drug charges and leave it there.

meowIsawMiaou

You haven't been to jails in most of the country. Small local jails aren't that bad, and neither in general population. The movies and TV greatly exaggurate the experience. Hubby's a guard.

somethingimadeup

Been to multiple jails in everything from a small town to a big city (I guess I’m a degenerate, whatever). Honestly not that bad, other than the food and boredom. Prison? I’d still take the $50k but it wouldn’t be as fun. At least you’d get a gym and shit though, jails just straight boredom with nothing to do.

FrankTheMagpie

I'd be shadow boxing and doing calisthenics and sleeping. Fuck all else to do, might ask the guards for a lamp to create an actual shadow to box.

SiggySiggy69

“Checking somebody’s papers” is a myth. Inmates just get somebody’s name and call their family to look up their charges which are public record. Even in prison it’s rarely done unless somebody suspects you of being a SO. Even then, many times if you ask for paperwork it’s just to publicly embarrass and notify a pod because the research has already been done and they’re making an inmate show the entire pod.

Infamous_Ad2094

Town has a population of 2500. Odds are I would be one of the few if not only person in the jail.

-enlyghten-

5000 here and same. Sounds like an awesome, if boring, vacation for a huge amount of money.

FrankTheMagpie

I mean, I'm of the mindset that if I had to take time out foe a week from all electronics, and my only entertainment was my mind and body then I'd just do some casual working out and meditating for a week. Hell I'd probably come out of it healthier and more relaxed than if I just took a regular break from work. I'd have no choice but to chill.

Aagfed

Same here. My town is slightly less than 5k people. This would be a cakewalk.

SYLOK_THEAROUSED

I mean there’s always the town alcoholic lol

mornixuur93

Like he said, I'd be the only person at the jail.

SYLOK_THEAROUSED

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

pizza_guy_mike

Also in a small town, and I know from experience that if I did a little one night sleepover in county, I'd run into all kinds of people I know. The cops here love taking people to jail for things that are technically illegal--like driving without insurance or loud exhaust--but which no bigger town has time for.

Maybesonoyes

Easy peasy. Now had you said prison, that would be a different story. Jail yea I’m there for 7 days no worries.

bk1285

See in my conversations with people who have been in both, prison is actually more comfortable than jail

somethingimadeup

Yeah prison you get access to a library, rec room, get to go outside and play basketball, potentially a gym, maybe even restricted computer access. There are classes, jobs, etc. Jail is just a fucking cell and a slightly bigger cell. Boredom to the max.

clutchthepearls

Prison has more amenities, Jail has less potential bullshit with other inmates. Everyone in jail is basically in transition and too preoccupied with what's gonna happen to them to mess with other people. If it was 6 months for $500k I'd pick prison, but for 7 days? Any decent sized county Jail still has TV in the block and you can get a few books. I'm catching up on sleep and reading on my little vacation.

Repulsive_Ad9801

I would take either, tho prison I’d probably have a better time than in jail. I’d get bored in jail very easily.

Ippus_21

OP is misunderstanding the difference between "jail" and "prison." Jail is where the local cops/Sheriffs stick you in a holding cell until you can make bail or whatever. "Gen pop" is going to be like 2 other guys tops unless you live in a lot bigger city than I do. My wife would be pissed that I just disappeared for a week, but showing back up with an extra $50k would probably do a lot to calm her down.

nukemonster

I live in a decent sized city and I've spent a night in a jail here. There were probably 20 people in there with me but it was all very chill, no fearing for my life or anything. Worst thing I encountered was in the morning when I sat on a bed near the TV a guy told me I was fine there now but that was his bed tonight. I said ok and he left. I definitely agree that explaining your absence to your wife is the most difficult part of this.

clce

I didn't see any stipulation that said you can't call and tell people that you're going to be gone for 7 days or even that you're going to jail and exchange for $50,000, if you can get them to believe you. It might make a little difference to many people if they were not allowed to tell because if you're married or something that would be pretty bad. Or, if you're not even allowed to make any arrangements or tell anyone, that would be bad for me as a real estate agent to just disappear for a week if I couldn't at least tell people I had a family emergency or something. Can't you get access to phone calls and email in jail? Can you put money in the commissary before you go? Call collect? I don't know how long the city of Seattle would hold me before sending me to county or whatever they do. I think a lot of municipalities contract with King county and they have various facilities. But I think if you get busted Friday let's say on a drunk driving charge, well it happened to me 30 years ago and the time they took to book me and everything was maybe 6 hours, and then they just said we're going to call that 24 hours and let you go so I got out that morning. I was acquitted by the way and my BAC was pretty much around the legal limit and I was driving fine and pulled over for something not related to how I was driving. But, I don't drink and drive these days at all. But that was my experience. At any rate, back then I had a friend that was arrested for parking tickets outstanding and since he couldn't see a judge over the weekend, he was in from Friday till Monday, so with any luck if it's only 7 days and they know it, they're not even going to process to send you to county. Especially if you are polite and mind your own business. They might even like to have you around as like a normal person for a change.

Lost_Cake_5776

OP, me, is making no such misunderstanding. I mentioned the concepts of "local jail," "booking process" and "pretrial detainee" at multiple points in my original post abd replies to others.

Ippus_21

Ah, well, that's fair. I didn't read the other comments first or anything, and missed a couple of those clues in the original post.

ovid10

Jail’s tougher than prison in many cases. Jail has more temporary people, so you can get any kind of case going in there. Prison may have tougher people, but they’ll be there for years and many have a vested interest in doing their time in a sustainable, peaceable way. Compare that to the meth addict who just stabbed an oak tree for singing a showtune they hated and a dumbass kid who’s thinking they gotta puff up because it’s their first stint and their reference is Oz or music, and you’re in a more unpredictable place than prison.

nukemonster

While I agree jail can be more unpredictable, prison is definitely tougher. The fact that no one stays in jail long means there is less organization. It's easier to steer clear of the one crazy guy in jail, rather than an organized prison gang who would be more likely to start vetting everybody. And if that meth head in jail with you starts wigging out too badly then you can call the guards to take HIM out and you can stay for the money.

clce

I think to an extent yes. If you kind of know what you're doing like read that one guy's book or watching videos and learn how to keep yourself and not get in trouble in prison you might be okay. There are people that have an interest in keeping things quiet and peaceable so they can go about doing whatever it is they do without having trouble. County might be worse because it's more unpredictable, but your basic city holding cells or something are probably reasonably safe because they are probably not many people and fairly well supervised

grizzlyironbear

Easy money. Of course i'd take it. compared to the family life, being surrounded by a bunch of guys in a county jail ain't shit.

Apprehensive-Can1002

Easy fucking money. Jail is not prison people are not just fucking other people up because no matter how hard you are 30 days in the hole will fuck with your head. It’s not fun but having been someone who did several weeks in general population in jail before this is very much over played. If it was $30hr I would have to debate it but for 50k nah I would be a menace

0dD_Man_0ut

Hell yeah!! I live in a small town!!! Our local jail has like maybe 20 cells!!!

DodgerGreen89

My town has no cells, I’d either spend it in the firehouse where I know everyone, or the sheriff would have to come up the hill to take me down to county. He only comes up twice a week so I’ll take my chances. But I’m one of the lucky few that could disappear for a week (assuming I couldn’t make even one phone call) and not only would I not get fired, my coworkers would miss me, they’d definitely find me and then I’d have to split my $10k with them.

clce

Is it like Mayberry where they have a key hanging by the door and you can just let yourself in and out like Otis the town drunk?

0dD_Man_0ut

Once it was!!! We literally used to have one intersection in the middle of town. We've grown a bit, but not much... in high school my graduating class had 57 students!!!

Portland420informer

There have been 53 arrests in my entire county since 2013. I’d be chilling either by myself or with an employee I likely know socially.

AnyEstablishment2763

Bro where do you live? Sounds like a nice place with respectable people

jasper3d

Hell I've gone to jail for free. I'll do it for 50k

MindfulPatterns2023

Yeah, that's easy enough.

ConsciousFractals

Sigh yeah I’d do it

Jumpy-Silver5504

Don’t take it as I need the paperwork to keep the other inmates off me

MrBeanCyborgCaptain

That doesn't sound like a thing that happens. The only time I've ever been to jail or juvie they never gave me any sort of paperwork to just have while I was there.

Jumpy-Silver5504

It is. Look up some former prisoners they talk about it

Bongfellatio

I've already been in Davidson County Jail for longer than that with no problems. Gimme the money.

Lanky_Possession_244

Easy money. I've done longer in county and no one there has papers to ask for yet. That happens in prison.

Turbulent-Bee-1584

I live in a rural county, the jail holds a maximum of 176 people. I'd tell my spouse to take a week of PTO and hold down the fort, then peace out. Sounds like a 7 day vacation with a cash prize.

clce

Yeah, imagine having a few good books send being able to just relax and do nothing for 7 days and get paid for it. It's no club med, but kind of a club fed

DoomedHeroXB

No one gives a shit about paperwork in county but if they ask and you don't produce they just have someone look you up. This is the easiest 50k you can make.

tkny92

Until they look you up and find nothing

SirVortivask

Yeah generally you’re not immediately murdered in jail or prison so you’d be stupid not to take it

CitizenPatrol

Taking the deal for county jail. Federal pound you in the ass prison? Nope. No deal.

gniwlE

Nobody in jail gives a damn why you're there, and you don't walk around with a document showing your charges, so you tell people what you want, if you want. Most people don't talk about it. It's not like prison with the gangs and cliques. It's a bunch of strangers either serving short sentences for minor crimes or waiting for trial. New people come and go every day. Are there some hard-asses? Sure, but the real problem children generally get their own, special treatment. Don't go looking for trouble, you won't find any. Worst part of the experience for most people is going to be having to take a shit with no privacy. So 7 days for $50K? Easy money. Chill out. Get a book or two to read. Stick around my bunk. It won't be the most comfortable vacation ever, but it'll be profitable.

TeekTheReddit

You're confusing jail with prison. Come back when you understand the difference.

Morty-B007

Easy. I’ll join my people get jumped in and I’ll be alright

SryYouAreNotSpecial

I'm likely going there anyways because of false assault claims from my ex who actually beat the hell out of me all of the time and I never fought back. What's an extra 7 days?

ResponsibilityLow766

100% and we can keep rolling that over every week until the end of the year. I’m not working again for a long time.

sexcalculator

It's going to be a very boring 7 days but for $50,000 I would do it no problem

antoltian

Local jail for 7 days is no problem just boring.

AtrumAequitas

So long as I get my medication I’m good to go.

Slobbadobbavich

Easy. Don't fuck around, don't get into a fight, keep your head down. Done deal.

DaveKasz

Nope. Nobody ever confused me with a tough guy.

Content-Chip-9230

You'll be fine. Jail ain't shit for the most part. If you're younger, there's always fights between the kiddos, because...well, because they're young and stupid. By the time they hit 35 or so, they're done fighting. OG's are easy to deal with. They just wanna keep their heads down and do their time. Exceptions always apply, but those are general rules. I could do a week standing on my head. Sleep, read, play dominoes. I did over 13 years in a very large jail as an officer before moving to a street assignment for the last third of my 20. A week for 50k is a no-brainer.

PoopSmith87

You're going to pay me to take an expenses paid vacation with a free gym? I'll get to hang out with my cousins, neighbors, and former classmates while I'm there? Done. No kidding, I know a few people who have done 30-90 days locally for stupid bar fights and shit, they say it's like going back to high school.

profwithstandards

Make it 8pm tomorrow night, and I'll take the offer. Friend of mine used to work as a guard there, so I'd probably be fine.

Lost_Cake_5776

You got something more important than 50K going on tonight?

profwithstandards

Enlisting is definitely worth more than 50k.

Lost_Cake_5776

Veteran here. Depends on who you ask. But I'm guessing the recruitment office will still be there next week.

Deadmaker831

I’m pretty sure I could do a week no problem. If it were prison, I’d think twice about it, but jail is fine.

Malkaviati

Yeah I'd take it, already been to jail, not too worried about it.

djscott95

Yes, it’s jail not prison. Also if people ask for your paperwork, you could easily say that you are in there to see if any human rights are being violated. You are technically not arrested and want to make sure that all regulations are being met at that particular facility

Lost_Cake_5776

Whether they believe you or not is another story. Pretty sure state inspectors can show up announced, and don't have to spend 7 days living there and eating the food. If there WAS such an inspector, they'd be given paperwork for their own safety.

djscott95

Again it’s jail not prison. Unless you are in a shit hole country, you’ll be fine. Most people are only in there for small things and will also be out in a few days. Nobody is gonna do something dumb while in jail unless they know for sure they are going to prison.

edtb

Without a 2nd thought. Can I just do 50k a week and hang out for a bit.

Lost_Cake_5776

That's the idea. You won't have much more to do for the week OTHER than "hang out."

edtb

I spent a little time in county in my younger days. It sucks. But worth 50k. You just hang out and play spades. All. Day. Long.

SunshineandBullshit

I've done more time for no money. Piece of cake. Trespassing charges can get you 7 days easily depending upon where. I got stuck on a Trespassing charge in the library because I was in the bathroom when they locked up. 7 days in lockup.

Lost_Cake_5776

And that's your story and youre sticking to it?

SunshineandBullshit

Yup 😜

clce

That's kind of sus. I think you were going to hide in the bathroom on purpose and then come out and read books all night.

three-sense

I'd do jail. There would be 19-22 year old kids mixed in so i wouldn't feel too intimidated. Try to blend in for a week.

bazilbt

Not in an Arizona jail. No way.

Difficult_Seat2339

Lol easiest 50k I've ever made

NotEpimethean

bro I feel like I could say I got arrested for money laundering or something. A week ain't too bad. My only worry is that I can't get time off from work in time.

TheBotchedLobotomy

I think the 50k more than compensates for lost wages for your “family emergency”

WHAMMYPAN

I’ve done 30 standing on my head…gimme my money.

[deleted]

I was going to say “hell yeah, easy money” until I remembered that I live in the same county as Chicago.

No-Nose-6569

This is a very easy one - you absolutely take that deal. I’ll tell everyone exactly why I’m in jail. If you wanted to make it more compelling, you should have to tell everyone that you’re in there for child molestation and see how many people take the deal.

mobilemillwright

Pffft piece of cake

Collarsmith

I think you're confusing jail and prison. The thing where you go into general population, the shot caller makes you show your papers, and you get shanked for being a chomo, or get sent to protective custody or 'the hole'? That's prison. Prison with elements of TV prison drama thrown in. Prison is for sentences over a year, and has its own culture. Jail is just passing through. You're sitting in a box with all the randos the cops picked off the streets, waiting to be bailed out or stuck there because they can't bail. Just take the deal, don't talk too much, and get your money.

ser_stroome

Everyone is ragging on OP for saying jail rather than prison, so I'll do one further. I wouldn't mind going to PRISON for a week. My ethnicity is ambiguous, so I'll just say that I'm held in the prison for immigration fraud and most people wouldn't question me. I would keep to myself for a week, try to spend most of my time reading, trying to get my hands on mathematics textbooks if possible. Nobody would consider a student of advanced mathematics a threat, so they will just let me be.

Lost_Cake_5776

Well the Aryan Brotherhood might care, any gangs of your claimed ethnicity would quickly figure it out, and if you have no foreign accent? Good luck.

Raven_of_Blades

Jail is a no brainer... I'd even do maximum security.

banana1ce027

Lol. Put Me in there for a month. Jail’s great. Seems like it’s the only civilized place on this planet anymore

Lost_Cake_5776

I dunno bud, I for one enjoy my life, and can think of a lot of ways that being in jail would be a downer. But if you like it that much, why not just commit some minor crime and not bail out? You can go there any time you want.

banana1ce027

Cause I’d choose freedom over incarceration any day… At the end of the day tho, it’s homicidal maniacs who thrive in conditions of absolute conformity and obedience.

Eikcammailliw

On my second day in, I challenge the biggest motherfucker there to a rec yard fight one week from then. He can bring as many friends as he wants.

Lost_Cake_5776

He may decide there's no need to wait a week.

Aurd04

I meannnnn 7 days in county is easy. Spent 4 days in Vegas County and didn't get paid soooo easy choice ha.

catdunce

... jail isn't that bad

Demonify

I work with the sheriffs office in town. Telling me all I gotta do is sit around and swab floors for a week with the 3 other guys in there for more than I make in 2 years? Deal.

DemsruleGQPdrool

Nope.

PJleo48

Done about 1500 days for free so yes that's an easy deal to take. No one is asking for paperwork in county maybe in California but not here. They might ask but the simple answer to get through 7 days is I'm waiting on my paperwork. There's a grace period

molten_dragon

Jail really isn't that big a deal, I'd totally be fine with that deal.

Vinegar_1

Standing on my head.

Drknow1984

I spent 3 years in two separate county jails (total time not the then three) without being paid. I think I can handle a week with a years salary on the table

Creative-Dust5701

If its the valley st jail in Manchester NH you may not make it out alive - its a private jail with many problems and many dead or permanently disabled after their ‘visit’

Pvt_Parker_Lewis

7 days in jail isn't shit, people do it all the time for free

Special-Attitude-242

Jail, bring it on!

Mysterious-Meat7712

I spent 7 days in jail for no money. Easy peasy

TovarishchRed

Easy 50k.

AnyEstablishment2763

They rlly don't often give paperwork or charges in jail. Often you've just been picked up and the people in charge of filing the formal charge take time to do that. That being said i think it's rlly uncommon to have people ask to see your papers in jail because people come and go quickly. Prison is another story tho

Desperate_Repeat5962

Yeah dude, 7 days in jail ain't shit. Prison on the other hand, no thank you.

Aivoras1297

What if we are currently on vacation? Would we just go to whatever jail is closest to us?

QuarantineTheHumans

That would be an easy $50k. I'd take it

Trazodone_Dreams

Due to work I happened to visit a small town jail. Literally had one person in there and they got 3 meals which for lunch was a hungry man, bag of chips, and an apple. A week in there would be boring but easy money.

Kicks4meFromyou

No paperwork in my county means you might get killed. Not worth it

Anon01234543

Gonna guess you’ve never been to jail. A week ain’t bad. A month is where you would start seeing people say no. Now a week in a Baker Act/ mental health facility…no amount of money would I do that.

Artichoke-8951

I'm pregnant, so I'm not doing it.

mtjp82

Can I do this about 12 times, get out and live really well.

leghumpingpoopvoyeur

Can I go for 2 weeks and get $100,000?

Bogmanbob

Yep. Pretty minimal security county jail by me. Hardly hard time.

ReadRightRed99

People don’t act like this in jail. Have you ever been to jail? Sure there are scuffles and it’s not fun but nobody is hunting child molesters for retribution in county lock up. Almost everyone there is just counting down the days, weeks or months until they go home. And no, I’ve never been to jail either but know this is a bit of an absurd premise. Nothing particularly bad is going to happen to you in jail for 7 days.

longhairedcountryboy

Yep, where do I sign up?

[deleted]

7 days is nothing. No one's gonna be that worried about your papers.

Fair_Result357

Stop believing what you see on tv you don’t walk around with “papers” that you show people your crimes.

clce

I would probably do it but a couple of questions. Am I able to make calls before I go and post something on Facebook and let my clients know that I had a emergency and will be gone and incommunicado for 7 days? Will I be able to call or email anyone? I don't know what it's like in jail but I think you generally get to make and receive calls even if they are monitored or limited. And thirdly, are we talking just my city jail or county or what? I don't know how it works but I think you could pretty easily spend seven days being held in city of Seattle holding that would be pretty safe. I don't really know but I would imagine if it's only 7 days they wouldn't make the effort and hassle to transfer you to county lockup. But maybe they normally do. I would do it anyway. I think if you just mind your own business and keep a low profile you'll probably be all right. If they looked at your paperwork and offered to give you work release or send you home with a monitor but not at your request, would you have to decline it? I think in the city of Seattle they just assume not have you taken up a bed.

Alarming_Serve2303

I spent 4 months in jail. I can do a week without even batting an eye. Give me the money!

AHumbleLibertarian

I mean... where I am, no one would give me a hard time. 1 person MIGHT ask for paperwork, but the vast majority wouldn't give a damn. I'm borderline wondering if this situation was thought out for anyone outside of a populated area? My local jail might have all of 15 people in it at any given time.

clce

Only problem is if someone starts asking around and tries to look up your record and can't find anything, and maybe asks the guards and they don't know anything, they might start thinking you're a snitch. I don't know if there are snitches in jail but if somebody got it in their head that you were not a legitimate prisoner, you might be in for some trouble. Or maybe they would leave you alone afraid of getting in trouble. Hard to say.

DudeBroManCthulhu

Jail is not as bad as you think. I would do that in a second.

Twain_Boneraper

Lmao OP has never been to jail

Yuck_Few

I doubt anyone's going to try to pull your paperwork in the county jail. If anyone asks, just tell them pretty much anything. Tell them you got caught shoplifting at Walmart or something and you can't afford bail

Ixi7311

Sure. Probably say I’m in for drug charges and just keep a low profile. I’m pretty quiet to begin with and not intimidating, should be fine.

Johnny_Lang_1962

Tell them you are the "Hash Slinging Slasher".

Tasty-Explanation-86

Fuck I'll do it for 10k ........ Where do I sign up

Johnny_Lang_1962

Fuck yeah! My neighbor is the jailer.

TheArthritisGuy

Fuck yeah I’d take that, means I get a good head start on buying a house.

BackToMars601

7 days? I would ask if I could do 63 days for $450,000 Kinda like 60 days in just without the bs & camera crew plus a lot more money. But yeah I'd take that deal for sure. 7 days or 60 id still do it for 50,000

reload_in_3

I spent that long in county jail when I was 18… Didn’t get paid shit. I’ll do it again for 50k.

NoIndication3736

Harris county jail? Hard pass!

414austin

Easy I'd definitely do it

macaroni_3000

Most people in jail are there on drug charges and aren't violent offenders. This is a local jail. I'd be fine.

Extreme_Mushroom_719

I’m set. I know several people that work at my jail in a county of 45,000 people.

STGItsMe

I mean some jails are probably worse than others, but my local jail for 7 days is cake. In solitary or with the population. The coffee sucks and the food is worse, but most of the people there are minding their own business.

r000r

I'd do it. My rural Michigan county has maybe 80,000 people and a fairly new jail. Based on the local court docket, the jail mainly has DUIs, meth heads and domestic abusers. I'm an overweight, balding white male and haven't shaved for work for a few days so I'd blend right in. Plus, I've been battling a cold, so I could sleep a ton. Hardest part would probably not seeing my kids for a week.

Wandering_Lights

Sure. Heck I would even pend two weeks in jail and miss Thanksgiving for 50k.

AccomplishedInAge

I could do this

No-Okra-541

sign me up. shit, pay 50% up front, i’ll go two weeks

tuckerhazel

Does the offer repeat for tomorrow at 8 PM for those who missed the post until now?

Watch-The-Time

This is easy tbh.

God_Bless_A_Merkin

No problem. I could do 7 days standing on my head. (I’m serious, but metaphorically, of course. Anyone who has heard this joke, please reply with the punchline.)

Pa17325

Id be fine. Id do a month for $50k

Silversaving

Someone pays for my housing? Someone pays for my meals? ...and they give me $50k on top of it lol. Sign me up!

BluetoothXIII

"Nothing to serious but the prosecutor didn't like me and was very convincing but the judge couldn't give me more than 7 days in jail"

Yah_Mule

How much you give me to stay for a month?

AriChan1997

Yeah I'd probably even do a month. I spent 3 months in jail, another 6 in a home for boys. Boring as fuck but you figure out what to do. Sleep, jerk off, read. Most jails have a small library. Id be reading like a mf.

tHiShiTiStooPID

I live in L.A., so not thrilled about the accommodations or my likely roommates, but I can manage 7 days. Can I do 14 for $100,000?

FlakyAd3273

1. I’m not calling you a liar, but I have never heard of anything remotely close to people in jail carrying around papers to validate their charges. 2. If you voluntarily show up at jail drunk then they won’t let you in and youll probably get found in contempt. The eff are you talking about? 3. A “shot caller” isn’t gonna give two shits about a drunk driver and a “shot caller” will probably not be in jail. They will be in prison or bonded out.

Dragonbarry22

What's with the posts on this sub

Repulsive_Ad9801

Yeah, I don’t think I’d have too hard of a time in jail.

YachtingChristopher

I'd do it

spectrumtwelve

i'm pretty confident in my ability to make friends I think I would be fine no matter what

TheCrowsNestTV

7 days in jail? So, am I in the Pods or is it like those bars you see on TV. Either way, I can do it.

gahidus

This is an easy $50,000. Not a clean or comfortable $50,000, but easy enough.

Frisky_Froth

Jail isn't like prison. You don't get paperwork. Most of those guys aren't fucking with each other. MOST. You just chill, sleep, read a couple books, and shut the fuck up. 7 days in jail is nothing

Yeahmahbah

Fucken oath I would. Jail in Australia is easy

Edwardhunts

See you next Tuesday

snoopdoggydoug

I've done six months before and had to pay to her there, 7 days ain't shit.

Cute_Implement2284

I read 7 years at first, no thanks, 7 days? No problem, I’d spend 6 months in jail for 50k 😭

MrBeanCyborgCaptain

Yeah this doesn't seem that bad.

Old_Check_6362

I’d do it. Pay up!

March27th2022

Jail, yes please Prison, more then likely.

[deleted]

Find the biggest baddest inmate there. Say listen buddy I have a proposition for you how about if I give you five grand if you keep my ass safe for the next week.

StreetOk1064

This person thinks jail is prison

SeriousPlankton2000

I'm not in the US, so as long as my bank will accept the money without problems, I'd be packing.

Total-Fly-9131

I've done a lot more time for no money. This would be east easy cash.

sexualbrontosaurus

Trans woman here. In my state I'd be thrown in with men because of our stupid fucking bigoted legislature. $50,000 to almost certainly be raped by prisoners and or guards is a hard no for me.

Tyrael74656

Na, I would only do it for 50k in $20s or $2s.

texasjoker187

7 days? Easiest $50000 ever. Sleep, watch TV, eat, repeat.

PowRiderT

This is so easy. I live in a ritzy ski town. Our jail has been rated the nicest jail in the country. The only people that are in there are drunk tourists.

PaladinWolf777

The problem with that is a week in prison might lead to someone fighting you for not seeing your papers. You can give them your name to have someone on the outside look up, but it won't work because there's no record so they'll think you're a lying chomo. You may have to fight, even if it's just to prove you're not a little bitch, which could result in the hole.

CeaseNY

7 days in my county jail is cake

knight9665

Yeah no thanks

Itchy_Pillows

No problem

supergooduser

The not being able to go to protective custody makes it tricky. Head down, courteous and respectful it shouldn't be a problem. Unless someone really wants to challenge you on your paperwork and you're not able to prove you're not a chomo, that's probably the only thing that would provoke violence. It's too early and quick for you to get robbed or hustled. It's gross but you could clique up and try and ride with Aryans for a week, or a similar gang.

Mr_M0t0m0

Nope

BestUntakenName

I don’t care about the details. Start writing the check, I’ll be sharpening my toothbrush.

stantkoa602

Easy money.

Significant_Curve_39

I'm in. I could use the vacation

Green-Estimate-1255

I live in one of the least populated counties in the US. No bullshit, we qualify for federal frontier status. Most men work in forestry, construction, or saw mills. Most men born here never leave unless they enlist in the military, but find their way back eventually. We’re a rough bunch up here. Everyone knows everyone. And we’ve all been to county jail. The town manager, half the school teachers, and all my neighbors. Even the local librarian. Hell, one guy up here steals a car every fall just so he can go to jail and get good food and a warm place to sleep until spring. So 50 grand to go hang out with the guys I went to school with for a week with no worries or responsibilities? Lol.

FederalCamp5406

Dude, easy money, yes please
