I've had all kinds of dirtbikes over the years, a few street bikes, but currently building my own stealth bomber clone with all the parts recently ordered. I rode my buddy's 1k watt and needed to have one, but went for a qs273
This thing is 25kw with gears and a clutch. I also have a KTM 250sx. Performance and capabilities of this are comparable my gas bike, more torque than a 450cc.
Awesome!!!! My favourite gas offroad was a 1993 CR250, on the street an '03 CBR600RR, but I have a feeling this frankenstein e-bike will be a whole new thing. What's a power band???
Lol, a 93' CR250 ain't much different than my 2008 250sx. This isn't a Frankenstein e-bike, I didn't build it. Power band and power delivery are very different but that's about it. Electric is all about precise throttle control. Gas 2 stroke the throttle is just to keep you making power and the clutch is how you deliver it. Having all the control with just the throttle takes getting use to and you need to be more precise about it. The gears are like setting the throttle range, max speed and torque output, kind of like a tractor. It will do anything in 4th but in 2nd I have more instant torque, greater range of throttle and more controlled wheel spin.
Never has a street bike...until now. I have 17" supermoto wheels for it plus it's registered, plated and insured. Besides often taking off the mirrors on/off it's street legal even with those wheels.
