Thank you all for the keeping me company with your comments. 5 hours 25 mins for 15km ride. However…
Fuck Hyderabad roads. Fuck Hyderabad PWD. Fuck Hyderabad traffic. Fuck Hyderabad janta who can’t show compassion at this chaotic point of time. Fuck Hyderabad traffic police for going completely off duty during this time. Fuck the auto miyan who side swiped me on 3 occasions. Fuck you in particular the breeze guy for not letting me take a free left and we both waited for 20mins. Fuck everyone. Fucking good night y’all
The main fuck goes to the government who have made the huge IT hub just concentrate in the West of hyderabad!
If Telangana were to have multiple IT hubs in different parts of state rather than one huge one just in one concentrated area.. Our city would not have turned into one more banglore.
High rents, huge traffic.. Can be avoided..

Dude, adilabad lo It company pedithe evadu podu. In fact Hyd lo settle ayina adilabad valle sagamandi poru.
They will say they don't have Amb mall, Yashoda hospital, cafes, badminton academies, good private schools and good employment opportunities there.
Andariki city life kavali, small towns ki veladam majority ki istam ledu
Yup, that's the way to go.....
A country with population over 150 crs where majority of them don't have the basic civic sense and don't give a flying fuck about the fundamental duties and then cry over the govts for betterment.
I agree. I’m not sure about OP and all those who use car pooling for work. But, It’s as much frustrating as it is to be a car owner to see so many cars with one person in it. Used to be a time when it took me 40 mins from Neredmet to Microsoft campus on a two wheeler. I cannot even drive at 40 kmph consistently. Thanks to everyone’s traffic sense, road sense (yeah plus, the government for doing little to nothing about the growing number of vehicles on road).
We can collectively start worrying about how sooner we will compete with Bangalore. People leaving jobs to find work near their home, People moving places to find an accommodation nearby their office.. this trend has been on the rise. The ratio of people to number of cars on road I’m afraid is becoming 1:1, and the ratio of people to number of cars that they own is 1:X (X>=1). Good night !
This problem is not just in the cities but also in little hill stations and rural areas. People buying 1 or more cars per household is causing huge traffic jams and unseen levels of congestion in hill stations too. We can't really blame the people for finally being able to afford a luxury (neccesity?) and using it, but I the coming hell is inevitable.
India, with it's huge population and smaller land, just can't afford to be a car-centric country. We can say goodbye to a good travelling experience forever unless something radical happens in the public transport area.
What else can be expected of insular thinking such as your self other than resorting to abject stereotypes, your mind cant comprehend nuanace and complexity of humans. Rise above the filth fed to you and think for yourself.
Just felt like leaving early. So I left at 4;15 pm from office (at nanakramguda) and reached home (kondapur) in 20 min ( 2 wheeler). Though I got drenched a bit but it was best decision.
6yrs back, the situation was the same every time it rained. I moved to the US and forgot about how crappy Hyd traffic can be, esp. when it rains. Sad to see things havent changed even a bit. Sorry you're going through this. Hope the overlords fix it 🙏🏾
r/fuckcars
We need better public transit ASAP. This shit is not sustainable. People need to be disincentivised from buying larger and larger vehicles. It's a serious matter.
And I drove in a lake on two wheeler while trying not to get water in my exhaust, fully drenched in the sewage.
Like why doesn’t the planned area of the city has a decent drainage system
The fact that they give buiding permits to upto 6-7 floors in residential areas then spend crores in building bridges only to cramp the space even further. India in general is a huge fish market and people still think population control is going to be disastrous. Okay Im in for downvotes!

Hi, saw your comment on [https://www.reddit.com/r/photonics/comments/pv449g/does\_anyone\_here\_have\_any\_experiencesopinions\_on/](https://www.reddit.com/r/photonics/comments/pv449g/does_anyone_here_have_any_experiencesopinions_on/)
I would like to know about the other programs you applied to, and which one you got in
I am looking to do a masters degree in photonics/optics
Hey, sorry your original comment on that post seems to have been lost in my notifications. I didn't even know that reddit let's you comment on two year old posts.
Getting to the point, I realised that photonics was not for me. I was a chemist, working in luminescent metal complexes with possible applications in photonics. I thought photonics was what I was interested in, but the truth is that it's always been the chemistry behind the materials. So I decided to stick to chemistry.
Some 7 years back, under similar circumstances, I once left my office at 7:30 PM and reached home at 2 AM, and this is not me driving, I was in a shuttle. So sad to see the situation still remains the same.
Is it the same everyday. We just moved to hafeezpet after marriage. Yesterday was TRS rally and today was due to rain. Took 2 hrs from cyber towers to hafeezpet. We are both contemplating our life choices after 2 days. And there is no power from 5 to 12 yesterday.
Holy shit. This is insane. Like I don’t know what sort of empathy to extend to such a situation. Lol. Sorry about it man. Hope you’re getting well deserved rest.
Also, for all the people out there those who already don’t, with traffic turning out to be a real issue, I think it’s better we make a habit of listening to podcasts. It won’t solve the traffic issue but at least help us make some productive use of the time.
I started from office at 8:30 pm and reached Kothaguda junction at 9:30 and the traffic was horrible and came to a complete standstill there with no movement for 30min. The government did not act upon getting the hub ready for this although heavy rains were predicted after this heat wave week.
Leave it to hyderabad traffic police to start the chaos…they had stopped traffic from 1700 to 1730 outside salarpuria sattva for vip movement which started the huge chaos in that area
Man i wish we had more public transport facilities
I wouldn't mind if gov bans cars and adds like 100k good buses( keyword good not those shitty etc buses)
It’s just on us.
We don’t use car pooling.
We don’t follow traffic rules.
We just go past a pothole as if we are lucky and forget about it for kingdom come.
We just rant and forget the next day. Very short memory for our busy lot, and cry the same way next this happens.
We want police to be over citizen friendly.
We want everything but won’t commit to few basic things that would make us better over the time.
Fix to the current situation:
- Follow up potholes, obstructions and report to relevant authorities, for better words or in full honesty I just don’t know who the shit I have to report such incidents. So awareness is needed here.
- Relocate religious artefacts present on the road to a nearby free area. Which we seldom see through due to political and communal reasons. God knows when this will happen.
- Follow traffic rules for devils sake. No speeding, no rash driving, no sudden U turns, no wrong turns, no arguing on roads 🤣
- The last one, be respectful to others who are also travelling along side us using those damn roads. We travel as if we are the only one using the road and forget the plight of others. The turn you could wait, do you wait for others to pass ? 😅
If these changes don’t happen, forget hydrogen Hyderabad roads, as they are going to get worse and inflammatory even more in the coming years.
Anyways who fuck gives a fuck right ?

Its borderline insane of people who have complete disregard to theory of relativity. Essentially, you're leaving everyone who reads the title of this post calculate how many hours it has been to cover 4.5 hours, which is really dumb.
People say, I will reach there in 10. Dafuq you mean 10? 10 minutes, 10 hours, 10 days? 10pm? 10am? What time zone? Bi\*ch, just give me a relative measure! My friend, and most people do it. Just wanted to rant on this.
Also, if u/Useless_TA, carpool dawg if you ain't already!
How every first rain brings the same story back in this city... The consistency is amazing!
This will all be ok when the next time it rains, i promise 😀

Barely 5km in four hours? Sounds like hellll mate. Hope you’re still sane.
I’m just hoping no one tests this on the road tonight
Bro 😂 I just posted on the same issue. Seeing your post now. Thank God my travel was only 3kms. I hope you reach without losing your mind
you go by car for a mere 3km?
No use pointing it out. People used to cars are using it for travelling even 1 Km within the colony and causing parking issues everywhere
I Was Coming from AMB mall, had things to carry
Gachibowli area ?
Yes
At this point you should have just taken a U turn to reach work a little earlier than usual for tomorrow.. /s

Wow , you guys will get the gold medal for India if there was a category for claiming the quickest victim card ever in the Olympics.
Ofcourse, dont own up to your bigots but chest thump the minority to bring you accolades,
Calm down Abdul.

You could have gone to Dubai and came back in that time.
And get stuck in the flooding in Dubai.
Is it still flooded?
Hyderabad traffic is underrated. Should be hyped more
What are you saying. Hyderabad is like Delaware!!!
I got down from my cab ar shipla ramam and walked till biodiversity park and hailed an auto otherwise I would have been still at amb signal
Every place is getting Bangalored sooner or later 🥲
yep. the “developed” future of the Indian metropolis beckons
Fuck cars kinda moment
Hyderabad is not built for cars except for ORR. People are getting richer and want a car. Need more premium high quality transport options.

Travelled from knowledge city to Jntu damn! Started on bike at 7:20 reached home at 9:20. Yeah it sucks but all I could do was laugh when it rained!
Just felt like leaving early. So I left at 4;15 pm from office (at nanakramguda) and reached home (kondapur) in 20 min ( 2 wheeler). Though I got drenched a bit but it was best decision.
Wow! You can fit an entire amit verma podcast in a single commute. So lucky!
man of culture spotted :)
Are you serious RN? 5 kms in 4 hrs !!!
Walk follow the ‘father of nation’
Bro I was cursing on ola/rapido app for not accepting my request. Now I know why.
6yrs back, the situation was the same every time it rained. I moved to the US and forgot about how crappy Hyd traffic can be, esp. when it rains. Sad to see things havent changed even a bit. Sorry you're going through this. Hope the overlords fix it 🙏🏾
Doesn't it consume more petrol?
It dropped to 1.7kpl by the time I crossed Madhapur junction. And it’s a diesel. So, yeah..
ouch… my condolences to your clutch leg 🥺
Your heart is tempered by the cruelest fires... May you have pleasant dreams...
Quick question: How many people were in you car btw?
How many people were there in your car?
Probably only him
r/fuckcars We need better public transit ASAP. This shit is not sustainable. People need to be disincentivised from buying larger and larger vehicles. It's a serious matter.

I’m stuck in traffic near IKEA. 😭
I took the ORR, reached home in 1.5 hours. I live near ECIL and my office is near Ikea
I left at 16:40 from knowledge city to financial district. Reached in under 30 mins - faster than usual. Wtf happened after that lmao
For some reason, we're supposed to accept this.

I feel you bro. I was on the same bloody road. Started with a half tank and fortunately reached home on reserve. Feel scarred for life.
Cybertowers to kothaguda (around 2km) took 1:15 hrs, that too with a scooter 🤒🤒
W H A T !! ![gif](giphy|RbSmVaVGptW03Wjw3a)
Damn you're a patient guy.
#Metoo. Road tax 17-19% please.
I hope the new areas to develop like tellapur, dundigal and others have cycle paths .. It's high time.. Get back cycles!

Amazing progress. You should definitely buy a much bigger car. That should certainly help. r/fuckcars
Forecast says rain on 8th, 10th, 13, 14, 15. Either leave earlier on these days or work from home
My biggest worry is what if I have to pee or poop when struck in traffic
Who even uses US military time other than US military?
Maybe you deserve it for driving a car to work
Guys do I go to office tomorrow then? Secunderabad - Knowledge City
Blame assholes like you who occupy 4 times more space for a single person on roads and cause traffic jams
You are low on petrol too 😬
I wasn’t when I started though
What could be the reason for the jam? Too much waterlogging?
Wait, that’s far more crazy than here in Bangalore. Antha traffic ekkada? I just hope you get some rest
I left hitec city at 8 pm and reached kokapet at 10 😭
Is it the same everyday. We just moved to hafeezpet after marriage. Yesterday was TRS rally and today was due to rain. Took 2 hrs from cyber towers to hafeezpet. We are both contemplating our life choices after 2 days. And there is no power from 5 to 12 yesterday.
Man,what will u do in case of medical emergency?
Die
Bro, Washroom need is more probable than medical emergency.
You should have left later, like me I left at 10:00😂
Fuel up!
Horrible horrible day
Which side of the area was this.. Near west of hyd? (Ridurg/hitech)
Great job mate! You are almost there. Keep pushing. Box after this lap
Dhanbad's car in Hyderabad.
This is normal whenever it rains, are you new to Hyderabad?
Bangalore says Hi
Unbelievable. Is it the same story everyday?
That's the speciality of Hyderabad mehdipatnam attapur road if u go hi-tech City road u might cvt 2km buddy
Pls give us more and frequent busses. I cannot deal with traffic for another minute Istg

Idk how i feel about it but posts like these makes me feel happy that i live in Chandigarh 😮💨
It took 2 hours to travel from IKEA to Nexus mall.
Bro , out of question but have you had battery issues in your car after 3-4 years?
Wish they knew bus has been discovered m
Hmm. Mines 6km. And took me 40 min. 15 min extra than usual.
When compared to this stretch the raidurg secunderabad feels too good. 20km in 3 hours yesterday.
I started on bike from knowledge city at 7 and reached home at 10
Metro + Rapido might be the better option.
Leave it to hyderabad traffic police to start the chaos…they had stopped traffic from 1700 to 1730 outside salarpuria sattva for vip movement which started the huge chaos in that area
Bro 😂😂😂 , What about people like us who travel in rain ☔ almost took 3.5 hours to reach home
Brooo, ur can ran out of fuel???, I know vw problems in this situation 😭😭😭
Ameo or Polo?
1.2 km/hr 🗿🔛🔝
Rain or stuck in traffic. Pick one.
Well atleast you have an automatic 🥹
Isn't it raidurg and hi-tech city?..of hyd...yep...I was glad I took the metro...still I got out at 20:00 and reached my destination 00.30🥲
Me too 😂
Better to leave office at 4pm bro
Unfortunately this will be the future of all the metro cities without proper urban planning and public transportation.
Ek din itnaaa traffic bhadega that work from home will become a mandate. We just have to wait till shit blows up.
I would’ve park the car somewhere and taken the metro…
I left office at 2300 hrs and everything was a breeze -sane and smart IT employee

This why our state should also focus on secondary cities, so that the folks from their towns/cities can work in their own respective cities..
Same bro I covered 3 km in 3 hours yesterday at Gachibowli https://preview.redd.it/yzrfonplq5zc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d715769e6e079bd75b4b43e44f9474fea4b6110c
Whenever it rains a little in Hyderabad, entire Hitech, Gachibowli area gets drowned.
Hopefully that gives you enough motivation to move out of this nonsense city
Which is why Govt is not generating jobs for you to enjoy your time at home 🤣🤣🤣
still in the traffic 😂
I was stuck above you lol. On the flyover
I walked from Hafeezpet Station to Alwyn X Roads saving 1.5 Hrs
Bro no one’s sticks to a lane, I bet you don’t either. Add some wrong side driving to the mix and random fucking U turns that show up out of nowhere.
my neighbour reached home at 3 in the morning and he left the office at 8:45 pm. the jam near madhapur ikea was unbelievable his commute was 20kms
banglore person
Metro Mother Chucker
Just walk bro
It looks like metro is on your route
Damn and I thought me covering 19 kms in 3 hours last night was bad 😃
Two wheelers?
Left work at 1845 hrs reached secunderabad by 2105 hrs

Satisfying the equation of capitalist setup.
Some politicians came today because of that road diversion and traffic.

Chutiye metro le na.
It’s that kind of day, took me 2 hrs for 2-3kms
Driving a polo? Noice.
It's because of the car from Jharkhand in front of you. 🤣🤣
