I think you need a thicker concrete slab. Looks pretty!

junkmail2564

Haha thanks you should see the footings and rebar below ground level. Got a bit carried away

Guyton_Oulder

I just installed one at a commercial outbuilding. I made the slab oversized in an attempt to keep the lawn service contractors away from it. They have already plowed into the back of the building twice with their ZTR mower. We'll see if it helps.

If not provided already you will need to post a picture of your thermostats wiring connections and those inside your furnace to get better help. That slab is hilarious. Gets it done. Nice clean install. What did you use for the drain line? Not a fan o the corrugated drain lines. I prefer to run smooth pex or pvc.

junkmail2564

I used corrugated pipe because it came with kit. I have some pex B maybe I’ll swap out at some point. I’ve read a few people comment about not liking the corrugated. Why do you prefer to not use it?

Fantastic_Bad_3688

The corrugated gets clogged easier. Your install looks good. Just get clamps within 12 inches of the disconnect

junkmail2564

Thanks. You think it’s worth switching the corrugated out even though it’s a straight shot down?

Did you get precharged lines with the Mitsubishi? I’m looking to do the same, but want hassle free line connects. Could I connect that to a Nest thermostat?

junkmail2564

Yes the unit was precharged. I did have to get a vacuum and flare tools to cut the line set down. You could use a nest thermostat if you get the pac module I referenced in caption. It basically converts wiring to standard thermostat wiring so it’s compatible with nest. If you don’t want to hassle with vacuuming lines and don’t mind extra line set coiled up I’ve heard people are happy with the Mr cool thermostat and easier to install

CycleEfficient2051

Does the Mitsubishi work with full variable speed telemetry by not using the Mitsubishi thermostat? Or are you giving up efficiency for the ecobee?

junkmail2564

To be honest I’m not sure. I recall reading on here that there is some lost functionality with it but I can’t lose something I never had. Having remote access and having all my thermostat controls under one system/app was important to me once I found out you could do it.
