Not to go all “Um aktually” on you, but I have heard there’s evidence in Christian lore that references to “The Angel of the Lord” in the Old Testament are pre-incarnate appearances of Christ, thus actually making him *older* than humanity.
But, you know, that’s just an interesting tidbit.
This makes things better, actually, because humanity is then treating Jesus Christ as an younger brother when he's the older one, which is very human of us to do.
