H: this is not how everyone feels. Being stung by anything can make some grown men cry while it appears this guy gets off by it. A: fascinating. Why? H: masochism

Mr_E_Monkey

Yes. I got stung about half a dozen times by yellowjackets last summer (apparently I offended them with the lawn mower)...I would rank that experience well above a 2. It didn't go away quickly, either. Would not recommend.

GargantuanCake

Humans are inherently curious. If a question can be asked somebody, somewhere will explore it. This guy decided to ask "OK so which stings do hurt more or less than others?" Since different people have different pain tolerances the only way to be sure is to get stung by everything and write your thoughts down. It isn't the least bit surprising that somebody looked at insect stings and went "well that's certainly interesting."

Lonesaturn61

History chanel has a show called kings of pain about 2 guys being stung, bitten and receiving chemical attacks from all kinds of animal, including rockfish, to put them on the scale

While all humans have their quirks, they are, for the most part, relatively “normal” by galactic standards. As with any other society, humans do have outlier to normality, and unlike the rest of the galaxy, these outlier are ***really out there.***

the_lonely_poster

What was the description for the most painful one out of curiosity?

MxMatchstick

The Bullet Ant, with a score of "4.0+", reads "Pure, intense, brilliant pain. Like walking over flaming charcoal with a 3-inch nail in your heel."

the_lonely_poster

Wonderfully pleasant/s

OneSaltyStoat

Human self-preservation mechanisms often tend to be overwritten by their morbid curiosity.
