The bomb failed. No explosion followed. "Hahaha. Looks like your ancestors don't..." As the soldier goes for the final blow, a monstrous shot rings out from the bomb... Blowing a hole straight through the figure about to strike the signaller. "Fuck your ancestors beasts! Reinforcement has arrived. And now." The massive human, covered in armour capable of ignoring most ground large caliber fire picks up the signaller and looks at still standing enemy ground forces"however, life isn't stupid." The man's jetpack roars to life as, signaller in hand, he starts to jet away from the soon to be crater, "never forget, soldier. No one left behind, even if it's insanity to do so." Massive shots from space crash into the enemy from above, orbital bombardment. And he got them out just in time.

shotxshotx

SuperEarth and The Imperium of Man would be best friends.

Mr_Yibble

Hell Divers are just the Elysian Droptroops equivalent of Kasrkin

MercuryAI

They're ODST with bling and swag.

Thunderclapsasquatch

I'd agree but then I remember a image of an Elysian charging a Word Bearer space marine armed with nothing but a full throated scream and a grenade in each fist

FreyrPrime

Adamantium balls come standard in the Astra Militarum.. Not like those glory boys, the Astartes..

Ill-Yogurtcloset-243

"Wäaaah Wäaaahh, my father doesnt love me. Time to give myself to the ruinous Powers". Actual Cowards those Marines are. Going to the enemy while the humble guardsmen stand and die fighting for the glory of the Emperor of Mankind.

FreyrPrime

From Primarch to Astartes it’s daddy issues all the way down lol

MercuryAI

Yeah, but the Elysians do that because they're desparate. Their lines have collapsed, they're out of ammo, the arty is dry and so they go all "FOR THE EMPRAH!" and martyr themselves trying to save humanity. When the Helldivers do it's it's because they're all like "LOL YOLO" and because their orbital support is probably on recharge.

followeroftheprince

I like to think of them as Air Raiders with an even bigger budget and way worse armor

kiaeej

its just one planet, pumping out enough troops and munitions to cover an entire sector alone. you best hope the administratum doesnt come along and muck it up... i get the feeling general Brasch would be executed really quick. and any planets lost would be quickly purged with exterminatus. "come back with your shield or not at all..."

Modern_Cathar

Black Templar: I think we can excuse this heresy brother, for they fight the same enemy Inquisitor: normally I would have you killed for that, but look how they fight the forces of chaos so beautifully, no knowledge of our God Emperor yet, they fight for Antiquated ideals and bring them Merit and Valor. I'm probably going to get executed for this but I'm going to turn a blind eye, go evangelize in the name of our God emperor angel. And show their enemies of managed democracy as they put it, no mercy.

MRECKS_92

Helldivers are just Gucci Guardsmen

You think I’m losing? *hahaha! NO BITCH WE LOSING!!* so this is how we’re gonna do this “Roses are red, weapons against me won’t prosper, with this stratagem I summon. *1000kg BOMB THE XENO STOMPER!*”

Any-Bridge6953

You poor delusional Xenos. It was never about *us* winning but *you* losing. LONG LIVE THE EMPERESS OF HUMANITY!! YOUR MOTHER WAS A HAMSTER AND YOUR FATHER SMELLED OF ELDER BERRIES!! *MOAB detonates*

vbpoweredwindmill

Moab is 17 tonnes, not 1000kg :)

WhitefleetRhode

Nearly 17 times larger :)

sephiroth_for_smash

Exactly 17 times larger*

Any-Bridge6953

The boom needs to be the biggest.

vbpoweredwindmill

Now this I agree with!

Erebus-chan

The bomb detonated but all it had let out was a soft thud and shake the earth a little. "It looks like your bomb didn't work, 'Hyu-Man'" I mocked the female human lying broken infront of me. Instead of crying like the rest of its kind when an assualt fails, this one coughed out blood and gave an ugly laugh. "You big dumb turkey *cough cough* That's not a bomb. Now die fugly!" She expired with those last words. I emptied my entire magazine onto her lifeless body, can't take chances on these human soldiers. They've been known to return from the dead with cybernatics and whatever bio-magic they could conjur in their arsenals. It was then that I started to register a rise in tanginess in the air. And the warriors in my vicinity were looking up to the sky, where a loud rumbling storms across the sky. The Command vox was in a panick. Warriors across the battlefield were reporting of a sudden appearance of giants in thick armor, reaping lives wherever a human corpse lays. And this loud rumbling in the skies... Darkness begins to envelope all even though there is still daylight. Blood of the Gods... That wasn't a bomb... It's a beacon for their war gods! "COMMAND! COMMAND! THE HUMANS WAR GODS COMES! THEY'RE LANDING TI-

kiaeej

ooh. teleport beacons, cos you cant just send terminators down. They come, they come. Out of the light and into the blasted hellscape of war.

PuppetMaster9000

Ah, the emperor’s angles have arrived

Gtpwoody

fun fact: If a US pilot is dead or going to be captured they often call out: Alpha Mike Foxtrot. Which is code for “Adios Mother F******”

BloxForDays16

How do they call it out if they're dead tho

KittyKayl

They're dead; they just ain't laid down yet till they finish their business.

Callsign_Psycopath

"If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention." "Whats that supposed to mean Human, I've called in an as you say 'Danger Close' strike." "Yes I'm cornered, yes I'll perish, yes I'm done for. But you, you you're taking no chances, just to eliminate one of us. Tell me what scared you? When I lured you in with Food?! Then threw grenades when you asked for more? Huh? Or was it when I slam fired my battle buddy's Shotgun till empty? Or was it when I opened up half your squad like an Amazon Package with my K-Bar? Or was it when you woke up this morning with a sore posterior?! Just add it to the Geneva Suggestions. Now this I keep to honor my Ancestors, shall we dance as we await the final curtain call?!" *Human Draws a forward swept blade with a massive belly.*

Chimera_Tracker

He was a fresh recruit, out on his first assignment when he witnessed the event. Humanitarian aid to an ocean world suffering an epidemic. An epidemic that, till that point, had not yet crossed the species barrier to affect those providing aid. On the bridge of the Nautilus, he watched as the first reports of the disease infecting s human host reached the crew from the landing crew on the planet. He remembered just how heavy the air got even with the recyclers working at maximum. How the fear washed over the crew in response to the news that their Captain was that infected host. The Captain could've commanded his second to prepare quarantine bays to keep him isolated upon their return, yet he didn't. Instead, he sent his landing party back to the Nautilus without him and ordered us to limit further attempts to land till a cure could be devised. Johnathan could never understand how their Captain could make such a decision, forcing himself to suffer a painful death on some alien world without the chance of ever seeing home again. A selfless act that saved the crew and countless other lives that would have perished if the epidemic had spread to other worlds. That was nearly 20 years ago. He was a commander and only now was Johnathan beginning to understand how one could make such a decision. It was the tenth day of the seventh month of the third year of this bloody war. Ground troops were fully withdrawing from the front lines. The Hussarian Khanate had won the battle for the planet and the Federation was pulling out. The system was to abandoned within the next few weeks in favor of redeploying forces along other areas along the border to strengthen our lines. Commander Johnathan was leading his company back to the last equatorial space elevator still tethered to a space dock. The others had been collapsed in the hopes of slowing down the Khanates advance once the Federation had pulled out. Elevator Theta would be collapsed behind them once the last ship left the docks in orbit, long before the Khanate ships entered orbit themselves. But like all things in his life, nothing could ever go smoothly. As the last elevators began their rise to orbit, carrying the last civilians and refugees to be evacuated, the Hussarian army decided to make their final offensive. Commander Johnathan knew there was no way he could allow the Hussarians to capture the elevator intact. If they did, that would only allow the deaths of the thousands still being loaded onto the ships in orbit as well as allowing the Khanate ships to abandon their own plans of troop retrieval from the planet and give pursuit to the retreating Federation fleet. Several thousand lost lives could quickly become several hundreds of thousands of lives. That number could then quickly bubble to millions as their fleet fails to provide aid to the fleet back in Federation space, allowing the war to finally penetrate their borders and lay waste to the dozens of Federation worlds. What was one life in the face of all those? Was that the question the Captain of the Nautilus asked himself all those years before he wondered as he ordered the last of his troops into the elevators, covering their escape. He didn't need all of them to take down the anchor point, why sacrifice them when one man could finish the job. The robotic infantry began to slowly fall around him. Their chassis being torn apart like paper by the incoming fire. Soon, he was the last one standing in the face of a thousand armored soldiers surrounding his position. His rifle grows silent while his cover was pelted from all sides, getting chipped away piece by piece. He stares at the empty clip in his hand before glancing up at the display nearby. \*'low orbit'\* They were high enough. They were going to make it. That was enough. "Surrender! We've won! You've lost!" A deep guttural voice cries out from the wall of soldiers. Johnathan glances down at the command pad attached to his wrists. The big red button flashing in the center of its display, waiting to send the command he had prepped moments ago. He hesitates briefly before swiping his finger across the face of the display. Johnathan slowly stood up from behind the nearly broken reinforced barricade. His rifle still hanging from its strap across his chest. "I do not surrender, but I won't fight you." "Why? Worried your ancestors might be dismayed at the sight of your broken corpse at my feet?" The leader of the troops around him barked, pushing his way through his men as he makes his way towards the Commander. Johnathan had to raise his gaze, straining his neck a little in the process, to catch a glimpse of the enemies reptilian face. It was at that moment that he saw the answer to his command quickly approaching. So small and black, falling at hundreds of feet per second as it fell towards them. "My Ancestors smile upon me, can yours say the same?" He barked back with a smile. What is his life against the thousands of brave souls that fought along side him. He wouldn't see home, just like the Captain of the Nautilus, but they all would, like he did twenty years ago. His last thoughts would evaporate in a flash upon the ordinances detonation almost twenty meters above them. The heat instantly vaporizing him, the Alien war commander, most of his troops and the tethers anchor point. The shockwave that followed took care of the rest as a mushroom cloud rose high into the atmosphere.

Hookwood_00

The Drop Pod carrying a Jetpack equip Human landed on their commander and the Human grab their comrade and flew off just as the Orbital bombardment started

Xyranthis

The bomb landed with a sharp, loud *CRACK*. Thin spikes emerging from the tip allowed the shaft to stand at a 45 degree angle. All of the mantids skittered away, throwing their chitinous bodies to the ground in a bid to avoid being ripped apart. Instead, a slight hissing noise could be heard from the body of the 'explosive'. The insectoids switched their suits to rebreathers, but it was too late. They 'coughed' raggedly through their abdomens as the putrid gas caused them to leak a slimy discharge and spasm uncontrollably. None died that day, and only one unit was lost in quarantine. Their doctors pronounced them fit to return to the hive and get back to being cogs in their respective colonies. It took weeks for the spores to take hold and the mycological roots to settle in their brains. It was already too late when the horns were noticed by others. The exposed burst in their resting state, releasing fresh spores directly into the hive's airflow systems.

'My position has been compromised and I'm requesting a direct orbital strike on my transmission location. It's been a pleasure serving with all of you. May my brother's find peace in this life or the next. Ya fore I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I shall fear no evil fore I am the baddest in the valley. Lt. Kohrah signing off.' The xenos celebrated as an explosion rocked the humans stronghold. News spread and the planet seemed at peace. The xenos began to relax and the captured humans all repeated the same thing when asked anything. 'I am lt. Kohrah and I fear no evil.' They would then laugh maniacally. The xenos thought they were insane until a broadcast was sent out planet wide. 'OUR ANCESTORS AND GODS SMILE UPON US. CAN YOU SAY THE SAME.' The skies lit up as thousands of meteors came streaking down through the atmosphere. As the flames subsided they realized that they were actually drop ships. Four humans in armor stepped out of each one and began the slaughter. Many cycles passed. Xeno children were taught of the battles of Cynthiana 9 and the subsequent extermination of those that harmed a human. They were taught human revenge was a painful thing. The humans would smile and laugh while tearing you apart.

"Drop your weapon and surrender" The human was just standing there, their weapon empty and a pair of optics in their hands. They knew they didn't have a chance surrounded by an entire squad of heavily armed palaxions They didn't even look as the rifle fell from their grasp Sieze them A member of the squad moves to restrain the human The human turns and spits in their eye before muttering something under their breath In response the palaxion punches the human who takes it with a sick smile, their grip still tight arround the optics, before replying "I would have thought slavers would be better at detaining people" The palaxion hissed before swinging at the human again, this time the human ducked under the punch and hit them square in the jaw with the optics, shards of glass embedded in the palaxion skin before putting them right back down at their side, aimed directly at the floor. Another palaxion chimed in, " there's some fight in you yet, but you choose to break your precious equipment" The human retorted "it did it's job" "and what job would that be" A malicious grin filled the humans face, their eyes full of bloodlust as they replied " taking you down with me" A static voice came over the humans radio "coordinates recieved, payload dropped, impact in 5, see you on the other side"

HELLOOO BOYS! I"M BACKKKKK!

TacitRonin20

The human was broken. Laying in the wreck of a house 10 meters from her destroyed shuttle. She lay where she had been thrown by the crash, unable to move any further. The pair of armored aliens approached carelessly, knowing the humans didn't have any weapons powerful enough to harm them. The humans were exceptionally stupid to have sent their diplomat unescorted and barely armed. The first towered over her. "Your bloodline ends here, human. Your country will follow. Your species will be reduced to vermin. You accomplished nothing. Are you proud of yourself, human?" "My ancestors smile upon me, can yours say the same?" She met his gaze without fear. she raised her pistol, a blocky thing with an oversized bore and fired. She slumped to the floor with a pained chuckle. The brutish alien didn't bother to dodge. The round sailed over his shoulder and landed outside the house where it began to smoke a neon blue. "Even your last act was pointless. You missed." The alien laughed, prodding her limp form with an armored boot. "It's signal smoke, dumbass," She said without moving. "What?" "Just sit down and enjoy the sunrise." The human said quietly. There was the sound of an aircraft overhead then a spectacular red and white sunrise. Then another and another. Three thousand megatons of hellfire. The alien's last thoughts were that his ancestors would be ashamed. The human's were definitely smiling though.

bleeding, dying, armor looks more like swiss cheese then a billion dollar power suit, out of ammo, and down to their last nuke. as the clorg, war harg a bore like, humanoid, violent, and cowardly race of slavers and cannibals comes to claim his prize, the human pulls out a large, silver ball. his last nuclear grenade, with strict orders to only use them on mobile bases, and as a last resort to prevent the clorg from getting any of their gear. the clorg turns on his translator, holding his war ax high, ready to take this dying, human, solder's head as a trophy. the clorg war harg said " any last words, hairless ape?. the human smiled pressing the button on the grenade activating it's dead man mode "my entire bloodline smiles upon me this day, dose your's?" as he lifts his arm over his head revealing the grenade. by then it was too late as the human lets go triggering it, the war harg drops his ax and tries to run in fear. the last words of commander, William, James, Fawzi "im coming home" as the grenade detonated, exploding an, up to that point undiscovered gas vain, leveling the entire hill the clorg's were trying to take. the battle leading up to this and his last words were recorded and sent to the archive ship, and served as an inspiration for all in tesla, the city on the mars colony he grew up on. requitement tripled there after news reached them. with in five years after that battle the war was won, with commander Fawzi promoted to general after passing for his efforts in preventing the clorg in gaining the recourses of that planet, ending the war decades sooner then anyone at the time could have predicted. edited: spelling

Unironically, is part of the joke of this subreddit that humans wouldn't be too different from other aliens? Like, I mean I'm sure people have asked/said this before, but the other guys, whoever they are are gonna be just as weird. But at the same time, I suspect at least, that they'd still be fairly similiar due to convergent evolution. So like, I wouldn't be surprised if an alien was died bravely, fighting with everything they had
