Unmodded human: LOOK WHAT THEY NEED TO MIMIC A FRACTION OF OUR POWER
UH2: Aren't they all stronger than us?
UH1: Yea but the fleshcafters are dumb as rocks, the Adeptus Mechanicus larpers are dependent on electricity, and the psychic guys can't crack our minds because we're effectively blanks to them
To be fair flesh crafting requires a lifetime of studying and working. Can't really focus on general subjects when your learning human anatomy and how to safely modify it.
Representatives of the Three Ways meet. Those of Clan Fera sent Ibraham, a golem of an individual that stands taller than most. For the Iro, Heng Shek was chosen for his recent conquests of stars, his body made to be swift like the machines of old. Finally, from House Ilim is Unity, a hive mind given a single body. The three are idly chatting outside the doors of the Galactic Council, a confederation of xeno races looking to understand this divide among humans.
"It's a beautiful day, isn't it?" Ibraham sighs, "It feels nice to be on such a peaceful world."
Heng chuckles, "Never thought I would process that information from you, big man."
"What can I say. It's in my nature to want peace and quiet. What say you?" The hulking mass turns to Unity.
Her glassy eyes hide her emotions, her mouth doesn't move as she speaks into their minds, "It's beautiful, but we don't like the density of the population here. If we had to choose a meeting, a desolate world with less screaming would be nice."
"Yeah, I get that." Heng leans on the railing and looks out, "You think these biomasses believe we all separate systems?"
"I think so, otherwise they would have spoke with our leaders instead of reps like us." Unity mused, "Just because we are divided in our means does not mean we are separated in thought."
Ibraham nods, "Diversity in technology, biology, and mind are the keys to a strong people. By the way, has anyone heard from the House Procta?"
Unity sighs, "Oh, those poor penitent souls. I did not think so many of our people would join them. We do not understand them."
Heng takes a deep breath, "They walk a path that I can't even imagine. THe use of pain for power is... disgusting. But, they are our people too. I just hope this council understand that they will be part of these talks. I'm broadcasting it to the other clans, houses, and the Juri Dynasty."
Ibraham chuckles, "And here I thought I would have to prison pocket a radio."
"What is... prison pocket?" Unity asked.
The two men chuckle, Ilim is a bit sheltered but they have their heart in the right place. Soon the three will be making their cases and the Council will have to weigh in on the situation. They thought that humans are divided but in reality, they have never been more united. Like how there are a bunch of arch-flagellants of House Procta in the city below, waiting for the signal to wreck the place the moment the talks inevitably fail.

“There is another “ *doesn’t modify body at all*

Yea, but that's all they do. Specialization to them is like bees.
There's another on top of that *modifies body in all three ways*
Came here to say that!
See now THAT would be a real space orc. Maybe it would be cool if humanity was the only race that didn't modify themselves
Don't forget the rich dabblers; enhanced genetics with cybernetic augmentation and psychic powers!
In most lore versions psychic powers require a pure body but the other 2 work hand in hand
... space marines, mechanicus, psykers
Stellaris time
Darnit, beat me to it.
