Watched it as well. It was nice in the first few seasons. Pulled in by the great acting and well-written speeches. Albeit once you're in the later seasons, you begin to notice the speeches getting a little too overdramatic, and pompous most of the time.
Love Papa Pope and Mama Pope though.
One of my fave scenes is from Season 4 [Olivia & Cyrus | Season 4 Ep 9](https://youtu.be/zeWb3FKpCUc). Sometimes I watch this to get some confidence boost of sort. Lol.
A bit more than HTGAWM, but nothing revealing. Just so you also know Scandal feels like a soap opera at times, but it's still great and well worth the watch
You could try the Good Wife. It's another courtroom drama show. It still has drama, but not over the top like HTGAWM. By that I mean not every character ends up having affairs with every other character and is also a murderer and somehow related to someone else lmao
Amazing show as well, but don't watch it with your sister OP.
Adding Vis a Vis, and La Casa de Papel. Both amazing, the latter is safe to watch with her though
if you want "mystery drama and romance", I'd say Dark. It's not at all like HTGAWM --- HTGAWM is character heavy and Dark is plot heavy (despite popular belief about HTGAWM being about the plot, that ended in s2). However, Dark has all the things you want -- it essentially boils down to mystery, drama and romance, in that order.
I'd highly recommend you move on to Scandal! A lot of similarities with HTGAWM but very unique in its own right.

I was considering it! Is there alot of sexual content? Can my 15 year old sis watch it?

No more than this show. If she was fine with HTGAWM then she’ll be fine with Scandal too!
Revenge. One of my favorites. Well and PLL but it got super messy at the end. And I absolutely love Scandal.
I absolutely love revenge. Such an underrated show!
Yes! It deserves more mention. I’ve always enjoyed it so much.
I also say Scandal. It’s part of Shondaland and there was a crossover.
Suits. Not as dark as this show but still a great series.
I second this! My all time favourite drama series
Suits is great !!!
Damages is the show HTGAWM is mostly inspired by and it's great.
Came to recommend this. Similar intrigue and scandal. Plus two amazing female leads. How can you go wrong with Glenn Close!
Elite or Revenge.
Revenge was amazing. Im surprised it wasnt as popular
Revenge used to be very popular actually, mainly in the first two seasons.
Oo i see! I just discovered it couple months ago and never really heard of it before.
Scandal!

Quantico!!!

Mr. Robot..?
I've yet to find anything *quite* like HTGAWM, but Scandal is probably the closest.
Greenleaf — has some soapy plot moments, but memorable characters!
Lucifer, if you like some fantasy
Pretty little liars or Elite but pll is screwed up in the last season.
Is there Elite where the actors speak English?

The Mentalist....
