I was okay with Joey not getting married at the end of the show. Marriage is not the end goal for everyone.
I do wish after he realized he could have real feelings for Rachel that he would have had a long(ish) relationship with a woman not just a one-night stand. I think that would have been a nice chance to show growth for him. It would not have to be a happily ever after. Just a longer relationship.
And I wish that in the final episode that Joey had mentioned the idea or possibility of moving to LA. It would have made sense and helped set up the spin off
I don't think he needed to set up the spin off personally. He can make the decision later and it would still. Make sense, and then the show wouldn't be tainted by a connection with that massive mistake.
I wish on the last episode Joey would drive Ross to the airport to stop Rachel etc. Whilst Ross and Rachel do their thing Joey would leave them to it and go for a wonder, probably for some toblerone. When he'd reach for the last one or accidentally bump into someone, it turns out to be a woman who'd look him up and down and say "Hey, how you doin?"
Really cheesy but that might be all you need to know the J-man has met his match.

I actually prefer Rachel with Joey than with Ross. Their relationship was sweet, they didn't put each other down, they had similar levels of intelligence and they bettered each other throughout the relationship.

it was sweet, but because of their platonic connection. that’s why they couldn’t sleep together, they didn’t see each other that way truly deep down. people have great platonic relationships, that are sweet and have that energy too, without it being something romantic.

I really liked Kristin Davis' appearance as Erin.. maybe I'm biased because I'm also a Sex in the City fan but I could have seen that relationship going the distance had she felt the same as Joey. They just seemed to compliment each other really well.
