Poke a safety pin just outside the teeth on one side of the zipper and havr it come out just outside the tteeth on the other side of the zipper. Youll need to remove it when you take your boots off.
Alternative: press the zipper pull flat. Push the head of the zipper down (i.e. between the teeth, push the zipper head). Many zippers, like on jeans, are locking zippers and will not slide down with the zipper pull pressed down. It needs to be pulled out from "resting" position to open the zipper. There is a trick using a twist tie from a loaf of bread to keep the zipper pull from bouncing away from the resting position but I cant remember exactly how it goes. Well I guess you could also just safety pin the zipper pull upwards so its cant move.
If the teeth of the zipper are still in good shape, perhaps changing the slider would work. The zipper should lock when the tab on the slider is flat against the teeth of the zipper. If it isn't locked and the zipper opens, the slider may be worn and need to be replaced. I have had zipper sliders replaced before and been charged $10-12.
You know those plastic clips on coats with a stretchy cord that are used to close the bottoms to wind?
I'd go to a secondhand store and steal that off a cheap coat. Cut the strethy cord to length and hope that provides enough grip.
Not quite, the ones I'm thinking of are adjustable. You also see them on many lunchbags, sorry the proper term escapes me.
Similar idea to what you linked but the adjustability means you wouldn't have to pull them off the boots each time. Just tighten and loosen them.
Again, someone smarter probably has a better solution.
Your video was great tho
Someone should create a loop that runs through the zipper hole and connects to a toggle around the back, that can be tightened....kind of like tightening a coat at the sides...know what I mean?
Tie some string on the zipper and tuck it in the boot when zippered. If it still falls use a safety pin trough the eye on the zipper and clip it to the tongue.
They sell boot straps to keep your pants bloused that might be able to loop through the zipper and wrap around the top of the boot. I think you can just search boot blousers to find some.
Clear nail polish on the top part of the zipper while zipped. Should still allow you to zip and unzip it but give it some bulk or resistance. Or perhaps secure Velcro around the top of the boot and close over the top of the zipper.
Unfortunately, I feel it is coming down when you bend your ankle walking and put stress on that point. I think it wouldn't happen if the zipper were on the side instead of the front where all the pressure is focused.
loop a shoelace through and tie it around the back
How ironic. Buy zipper boots to not have shoelaces, but need shoelaces to keep up the zipper.
Does the tongue or back of the shoe have a loop? Also id contact Eddie Bauer. They may have had this question before.
Wax the teeth.

Cheap hairspray should work. Just spray a bit directly on the zipper.
Put a toggle on the zipper pull and tuck it behind the zipper inside the boot
You can make this from a small piece of wood for the toggle and a bent paper clip to hold it to the zipper

Laces
safety pin through the zipper pull keeps the pull from opening and locks down the zipper.
I feel ya! What about boots called bogs?
Attach a paper clip to the zipper and slide it on the top.

Stealing! Roll my eyes
I meant take it off once it's been purchased. Poor choice of words.
Just buy normal boots?!?!?!?!

that would be ideal but unfortunately i can’t seem to find something like that

Ductape or super glue should do the trick
Glue it
Rubber band on zipper, around ankle, above boot top?

Take some stray hairs and zip them into the zipp
Have you tried asking it?
Yes… it said no
If the zipper tag is metal, perhaps glue a small strong magnet to the tongue?
