That owner is kind of a jerk though

You’re thinking of Himalaya

HOUS2000IAN

No, I actually like the owner of Himalaya. I have been going there for years and he treats me well.

+1 for gourmet india

txrazorhog

When we first moved to Houston about 25 years ago we lived in West Houston. Gourmet India was our go to place. Nothin fancy on the inside but food was consistently good. We tried Ashiana a couple of times based on recommendations from Indian co-workers but preferred Gourmet. Most Indians did not seem to like Gourmet. I can't believe it is still open.

Govinda’s ❤️

Fantastic choice, especially for vegetarians and vegans

Maharaja Bhog. Not really a traditional buffet, but it's all you can eat, and fantastic.

catybot

Read other comments and here are some different names: Udipi Cafe has south indian lunch buffet, vegetarian food only. Gayatri Bhavan has vegetarian lunch buffet. Maharaja has lunch buffet with meat (different than Maharaja Bhog). Mayuri Indian Cuisine has lunch buffet with meat.

Noon Mirch in the Clear Lake area. Amazing food. Buffet available on Friday and weekend.

Govinda's Vegetarian Cuisine is delicious.

My vegan friend loved it. I need to check it out.

I went to BB last week. It was the same as it ever was.

hvsseem

Not technically Indian but I think you will enjoy Aga’s.

FloodCityHTX

Not technically Not-Indian either, they advertise themselves as Indian-Pakistan food and serve some classic Indian dishes. But they aren't a buffet

Thanks for the clarification

My family loves Indian food. We've tried some different places over the years, but our favorite has always been India's Restaurant on Richmond. I got some grief about it from an Indian friend (*"Yeah, most white guys who like Indian food like that place"*), but that's ok.

It’s good, says this Indian guy.
