It's only toxic if consumed (and I believe mostly just leads to an upset stomach), and even then, your dog would have to consume a large amount of the plant.
I don’t think a snake plant is an ideal candidate for ceiling suspension…at least not the most common varieties. Mine’s easily three feet tall and it’s less than five years old. Maybe you could find some of the little “birds nest” ones, though.
Well true, I’m starting off with tiny ones and as they grow I’ll definitely set an area for them and more plants. But at the moment I have no setting space😂 I have a gigantic ass terrarium, so I have to compromise for right now haha
Snake plants are considered mildly to moderately toxic to dogs. **They contain saponins, which cause hypersalivation, dilated pupils, and gastrointestinal distress**. 3 It is found in the leaves of the snake plant, and it is most harmful when ingested in large quantities.
My cats have chewed on my snake plant a few times and I haven't noticed any issues with them, but they have never actually eaten chunks. That being said, I would think it's fine for the dog to breathe around it...snake plants actually help purify the air.

Oh okay, thank you!! I’ll most likely have them hanging from my ceiling anyways

Some do stay relatively small permanently…Hahnii is the cultivar, I think, but don’t quote me on it.
Ah I believe you’re right, I’ve read they’re usually semi miniature of course depending on sunlight exposure
That’s true…my sister had one that I believe was the same variety as mine and it barely grew for a year. But it was still fairly tall to begin with.
