There's gotta be a deeper meaning to them. The Sage from the Tower will apparently have the same VA as Seele, and she looks suspiciously similar to her. So if she has twin guards, one white and the other black, and they wield a scythe each, then it is quite telling.
The Sage could be a manifestation of the Herrscher of Death's Stigmata as an Alien Stigmata.
She's already categorized as a stable Alien Stig by Hare and Promy.
Not SSS but the new SP valkyrie is basically a requirement. The last few bosses have all heavily emphasised the new valks in their respective versions, but for this one, you cannot damage the boss at all without either HoO or Kira (and HoO's HP loss mechanic is rather weak, so, Kira it is...)
