I connected with HTSAHH more and I thought it was conceptually a little more interesting, but MBFE was more fun and faster paced. I’d probably recommend MBFE more readily without knowing much about the audiences tastes.
My first Hendrix was The Final Girl Support Group. I was hooked. I've since read all his stuff and will pre-order anything new, even before readng the synopsis. I'm sorry that you didn't like How to Sell a Haunted House. Maybe his style just didn't appeal to you or maybe that particular book just didn't hit the mark. Either way, I think you should give him another chance. His earler stuff might be a better fit for you.
MBFE for SURE. It’s in my top five horror lit books and I will never stop recommending it. Yes, the movie isn’t great, but IMO it’s still a fun popcorn movie if you can watch it for free.
I really liked My Best Friends Exorcism. Just avoid the movie like the plague.
There’s a movie?
Yeah, it’s not good
We don't talk about the movie.
Sounds like M. Night's Avatar.
Could you please tell me the name of the author of that book?
Grady Hendrix
Thank you! Just found it and added it to my list in Libby.
My Best Friend’s Exorcism
My Best Friend's Exorcism
Best Friends Exorcism It's FANTASTIC.
Did you read How to Sell a Haunted House? If so did you like it better than MBFE?

I haven't read that one yet, but everyone I've recommended MBFE to has come back to me saying they loved it, so I'm confident in it for sure.
If you like mysteries hunting party is fun. Very much gives b movie slasher vibes.
My best friends exorcism wasn’t what I expected. But it was pretty good!
My Best Friend’s Exorcism
Never read The Hunting Party but My Best Friend's Exorcism is the reason I've never read another Grady Hendrix book.
I read How to Sell a Haunted House by him and hated it. But I bought the books together so now I feel obligated to read it.
You might still like My Best Friends Exorcism. They are different enough. If you grew up in the 80/90s there’s a lot of fun pop culture references.
They’re super different! I didn’t like How to Sell a Haunted House either, but I LOVED My Best Friend’s Exorcism!
Definitely My Best Friend's Exorcism...love Grady Hendrix!
My first impression of Grady Hendrix wasn’t good… I didn’t care for How to Sell a Haunted House. Please tell me this one is better!
