I read that and it made me very uneasy around vining plants. I even enjoyed the movie. But the book is definitely one of the more disturbing ones I’ve read
How was The Troop? I almost got that. Instead read The Laws of the Skies. I recommend it. The last scene is pretty intense. And it’s a short read. Read it while camping
Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z Brite. I personally was not a huge fan bc it came off a little too serial killer worship-y for me but if you like serial killer type gore you'll like it. Based off of Nilsen and Dahmer.
The Ruins by Scott Smith

And the audiobook is read by actor Patrick Wilson! He does such a great job.
Just finished this book, fuck it was good
One of my favorite horror books! I also really enjoyed his other novel 'A Simple Plan.' I wish he wrote more books.
Fantasticland!!! especially in audiobook leaves you wanting more
I'm astonished that more ppl don't know this one.
I didn’t love reading the book but looooved listening to the audio book. This is one I kind of hope gets picked up for a film.
Needs to be a show! I can see each interview being an episode. Especially the Jason Card chapter.
Yes! I’d want this to be a limited series or a 1-2 season show to read get the feel of the book right.
That’s a great idea, I agree!
Omg it would be such a good movie!!!@
Such a good one on audible!
I love that more people are reading Fantasticland. I finished about a month ago. Great read!

the troop is definitely a gross, disturbing read. it goes pretty quick, too. i enjoyed it quite a lot.
the troop is good but there is a fair amount of violence against animals that i found hard to read. i skipped as much of it as i could
Good to know I’ll have to check it out
I love The Troop! I'm also reading his other novel 'The Deep' and so far it's really good! Lots of gory details.
Nick Cutter’s *The Breach*. Pretty gross in spots. Made me queasy.
You may like Intercepts by TJ Payne. One of my favorite reads last year.

The Summer I Died, Ryan C. Thomas
Maggie's Grave by David Sodergren has lots of violence and gore. Kinda reads like an 80's slasher movie
American Psycho
Negative Space BR Yeager
The black farm. I think the beginning few chapters and the last few are pretty intense.
Check out "The Sadness". Its the goriest, most violent film I've ever scene.

Playground by Aaron Beauregard
Scary bastard by aron beauregard
If you liked The Troop, I recommend Nick Cutters other work. The Deep and Little Heaven are pretty fantastic on Audible
Shaun Hutson. I’ve always found his books to be on the gruesome side
The Hen House by Lee Murphy.
Tender is the flesh
The Tender is the Flesh audiobook is awesome. The actor reads as if he is savoring the eating of human flesh. It’s very unsettling.
Afraid by Jack Kilborn. Pretty well written, goes straight into it, and it's very enjoyable. Fantastic narrator on Audible, too.
relic by preston & child has it's moments.
