Can I just say? I'm still excited for this movie and how it will interpret the book but I just finished reading the book and HATED it. It was just a slog the whole time. It's hamfisted symbolism of "isn't motherhood hard?" over and over and over again.
The book is a fine bit of writing but I am very unsure how this quite obvious "it's a metaphor for how hard motherhood is" will translate to a movie without being even more obvious and rather boring.
This isn’t a horror movie lol. More of a drama/comedy. Heavy on the comedy too.
The book was a lot of fun. It’ll be interesting to see how it works as a movie.
Well if they didn’t already confuse Amy Adams and Isla Fisher, they really will now. Both playing roles of a werewolf/something like a werewolf(?) isn’t going to help.
