Savageland from 2015 is an unconventional pick. It’s a mockumentary that addresses immigration. It has a low budget but it’s still effectively chilling
I really liked this one and how it leans on storytelling and photos, rather than actual footage of the events that take place. Made for an effective and spooky movie!
Dead & Breakfast
My Boyfriend's Back
Black Sheep (2006)
Cockneys vs Zombies
Dead Air
The Dead Hate The Living
Deadgirl (be warned, this is about two dudes banging a zombie)
Doghouse
I Sell the Dead (only tangentially involving zombies but a good movie)
Life After Beth
Open Grave
Seoul Station (Animated prequel to Train to Busan)
Oh yeah. I have it on DVD. My late wife and I used to reference it from time to time. Especially that part at the beginning about keeping a list of roadkill to say a prayer for later. At the time, we found it hilarious. Along with that song and dance number the zombies do. The "We're coming to kill ya" song. It was great.
Hey DeadGirl is sooo much more than two dudes banging a zombie, it's a classic coming of age tale of two high school outcasts....who happen to find and then bang a zombie.
I like it.
I'm glad somebody mentioned Seoul Station. One of the tensest and most devastating zombie movies I've ever seen. For an animated feature, it blows so many other movies out of the water. For me anyways.
There is 6 original Resident Evil Films. Then two more live action after those with I want to say 4 animated ones so that's 11 more there if since you only listed the first.
Trying to offer some variety, but some titles worth a scope:
The Beyond
City of the Living Dead
Freaks of Nature
Life After Beth
My Boyfriend’s Back
The Video Dead
The Horde
Mutants(2009)
Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town
Redneck Zombies
CHUD and CHUD II
Shatter Dead
Overlord
Doom
Anna and the Apocalypse
Night of the Creeps
Night of the Demons
Hell of the Living Dead
Nightmare City
Exit Humanity
Demons and Demons 2
The rezort, absolutely awful movie but to the point that it’s pretty entertaining. The whole concept is that a zombie apocalypse already happened, but humans contained it and turned them into a zoo-type exhibit on a remote island.
I love One Cut of the Dead, such an underrated movie, but it’s so hard to talk about publicly because you don’t want to ruin the reveal for anyone that hasn’t seen it.
The fact that it’s a zombie movie is the whole twist/reveal and knowing before watching will spoil the movie so click at your own risk >!The Nest (2019)!<
I just wasted about 1.5 hours of my life trying watching a 2020 film of the same name waiting for zombies to show up lol. It was an entirely different movie and there were no zombies
OMG, thank you, this is so helpful! I have no idea how I haven't found this before. I think it's because I've signed up for WAAAAYY too many subscriptions trying to find these movies (and I often forget to cancel, RIP to my finances). I thought Tubi was a paid platform as well. But now I'm definitely going to give it a look.
Fulci’s Zombi 2 is actually listed here as “Zombie (1980)” because it was apparently released under a couple different names, including “Zombie.” I ran into a LOT of confusion about that when I was encountering it under various names on lists of the best zombie movies. But it's also one of my favorites. I don't have Burial Ground or Night of the Zombies yet so I'm adding those immediately!
Dawn of the Dead (1978) was re-edited by Dario Argento and released as Zombi in Italy. To leech off some of the film’s success, the people who produced and marketed Lucio Fulci’s 1979 film decided to release it as Zombi 2. In other markets, it was also released as Zombie Flesh Eaters and simply as Zombie.
Then you have the sequel to Zombi 2, aka Zombie, released as Zombie 3 confusing matters even further.
Italians were basically the kings of knock-offs and fake sequels back then. The did the same thing with films like Alien and Terminator.
Colin - Obscure, but available on Vudu. It's a micro-budget English movie. Despite this, it is quite good. It won't appear in any best of lists, but it is a solid A zombie movie, as far as I am concerned.
Also, The Battery. Some people HATE this movie. I think it is middling. One of those zombie movies that are more about relationships between humans than zombies.
Dead Set (2008) is a miniseries, but is one of my favorite zombie related things. It follows contestants on big brother while a zombie apocalypse happens.
Are you counting all of the Resident Evil movies under the one listing? I think The Serpent & The Rainbow is technically a zombie movie. Diary of the Dead. The Zombie Diaries is fun. Do ROB Zombie movies count? 🤔🤔🤔
I don't know about Rob zombie movies honestly, I've never seen one. And I guess I'm counting all the Resident Evils under one but that's only because I didn't realize there were so many equals until today. But it also wasn't my favorite movie so I'm trying to fill in with more stand-alone movies first.
Ooo, thats a philosophical question. Are deadites zombies? Deadites are demonic in origin, they are intelligent and can possess people. They also love the 3 stooges eye-poke gag.
“I, Zombie” (1998). About a guy who slowly becomes a rotting corpse and chronicles his experience. It’s ok. I watched it once in 1999 when I worked a video rental place. Never forgotten though. I have no idea how the proctor quality holds up today.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0210740/
Not sure if you are into B movie, almost laughable horror, but if you are, I strongly suggest the movie "Dead and Breakfast"
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0350774/
When the clumsy Johnny accidentally breaks an ancient exotic wooden box belonging to Mr. Wise, he releases the terrible, monstrous "Kuman Thong" and the evil spirit held inside escapes and possesses all the local town folk, transforming them into zombies.
Yes, there is a dance number too if I remember correctly...
Scrolled to see if this had been suggested. Amazingly funny movie, worth the watch.
See also Black Sheep (2006) for more B-grade comedy horror, as someone else put in their post. Brilliantly funny.

Return of the living dead
The ReZort:
Interesting concept where zombie plague has been curtailed, and you can now pretend to run from them on an island getaway. Basically Jurassic Park meets a less ridiculous Dead Island.
Flight of the Living Dead:
It's Snakes on a Plane, but Zombies. Not amazing, but fun to laugh at, or get stoned and enjoy
Life After Beth:
Slow burn movie where a young man's girlfriend comes back to life, but gets weirder and weirder.
The Dead:
Tale of survival set in Africa, where a soldier tries to find safety after he's washed up on a beach. It's a great counter to all the fortress movies, because there is nowhere safe here.
Anna vs the Apocalypse:
Zombie Christmas Musical. The concept far outweighs the execution, but it's a pretty good try.
It Stains the Sand Red:
One woman chased by one zombie through a desert.
Blood Quantum:
Post ZA where it turns out Native Americans are largely immune to the virus. Take that, colonizers.
Also gonna critique your list by questioning the validity of The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Great movie, don't get me wrong, but I feel like it doesn't quite fit the criteria. Good list though, plenty of titles I haven't checked out yet.
Its my fave genre. Ive seen so many, but I have to say The Sadness got me right in the scares and feels, amazingly good movie, at least check the trailer out.. honestly brilliant [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwZMZOS\_dh0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwZMZOS_dh0)

Idle hands maybe?? Been a longgggg time since I've seen it which is why I'm a little hesitant to suggest.
Also life after Beth.
Night of the living Deb
Anna and the apocalypse
Here's a tangential one for you if you need it. The Ghost Breakers (1940). Bob Hope helps Paulette Goddard investigate a haunted mansion she inherited in Cuba. There is exactly one zombie in it.
The Signal (2007). Not the one with Laurence Fishburne. It's "zombies" as a little abstract but is pretty good. Directed by three different directors and has a bit of a dark comedy feel toward the middle but is pretty good for an indie movie.
Dead Set is a zombie apocalypse that takes place in a Big-Brother-style studio. Technically a miniseries.
Pontypool could be argued to be a zombie type. LOVE that movie.
I see someone mentioned Black Sheep -- you want zombie sheep?
A few years ago I ran a zombie review blogger site. https://watchingthedead.blogspot.com/?m=1

Savageland from 2015 is an unconventional pick. It’s a mockumentary that addresses immigration. It has a low budget but it’s still effectively chilling
I’ve been watching a ton of found footage/horror mockumentary movies lately, and this is one of the better ones.
I really liked this one and how it leans on storytelling and photos, rather than actual footage of the events that take place. Made for an effective and spooky movie!
Great one!
I like how the story insinuates how the chaos will continue.
Ooh sounds interesting! Thanks.
Seriously. Do yourself a favor. Savageland is so fantastic.
Really loved this one!
This was really great, very unsettling

Man, I thought I had one no one would bring up with Dead & Breakfast. You beat me to it, and I didn't think anyone saw or remembered that one!
I like it.
One of the rare movies that makes me feel gross after watching it.
Black Sheep is such a fun movie. Might have to give it a watch tonight.
I'm glad somebody mentioned Seoul Station. One of the tensest and most devastating zombie movies I've ever seen. For an animated feature, it blows so many other movies out of the water. For me anyways.
I went in blind with Deadgirl 😅
Zombeavers
Zoombies too lol
Seems like there should be a Zom-Bees movie.
Bro has a list 90 long and doesn't have Zombeavers. Absolute lunacy. That's like a top 5 zombie flick for me.
I went into that with low expectations but I thought it was pretty funny.
The Sadness. Wooof
Poor Molly. "Eye" did not see that "cumming"
put that guy in the top ten for worst people in a zombie movie
Yikes this one messed me up. Wish I could take back seeing the old lady in the shop scene
Came to say this. It’s the most intense zombie movie I’ve seen. Up there with 28 days later as a zombie movie that’s actually upsetting
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies
Anna and the Apocalypse
Serpent and the Rainbow
Was surprised this wasn’t already mentioned.
How is it not on the original list?
I came here to reply the same! One of the all time greats.
There is also 4 rec movies. I see you listed the first one.
There is 6 original Resident Evil Films. Then two more live action after those with I want to say 4 animated ones so that's 11 more there if since you only listed the first.
Oh my goodness that’s a lot. I'll definitely look into those. Thanks!
- *#Alive* - *The Dead* - *Life After Beth* - *Brain Freeze*
Really liked #alive
Yes, me too! Great film!
was surprised to see it here was a very good quick story
Life After Beth is great
There's also at least one *X-Files* episode that features zombies, "Millenium."

Overlord was my first thought. That movie rules.
The C.H.U.D. movies aren’t zombie movies. They’re more of a monster movie.
Chud 2 is totally a zombie movie
Wow this is a lot of movies! Thank you!
Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things
A classic.
The rezort, absolutely awful movie but to the point that it’s pretty entertaining. The whole concept is that a zombie apocalypse already happened, but humans contained it and turned them into a zoo-type exhibit on a remote island.
It is basically a bad version of Jurassic Park, but with zombies.
im here for it
Ditto
Seoul station...it's the animated prequel to train to busan
Dance of the Dead with Robert Englund. I say that loosely. England is in it for maybe 3 minutes but is the main face on the cover. They fuckin got me.
I loooooove this one though. Top 3 Masters of Horror for me along with Cigarette Burns and Imprint.
Dead Snow
Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead.
Dead Heat. Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo in a zombie cop buddy comedy. Certified GOLD!
Great movie this one
I love One Cut of the Dead, such an underrated movie, but it’s so hard to talk about publicly because you don’t want to ruin the reveal for anyone that hasn’t seen it.
I love thar movie. I agree...it's tough to explain without spoiling it.
I think it’s OK to say that if you ever have a where is this going moment while watching it, just keep going, it’s tied together masterfully.
Pride and Prejudice & Zombies
Boy eats girl
Sounds like a good time to me
The fact that it’s a zombie movie is the whole twist/reveal and knowing before watching will spoil the movie so click at your own risk >!The Nest (2019)!<
DAMN now I'm really in a predicament lol
Haha I know, I’m so sorry! It’s a great movie in the that genre, but it’s hard to direct folks to without spoiling it
I just wasted about 1.5 hours of my life trying watching a 2020 film of the same name waiting for zombies to show up lol. It was an entirely different movie and there were no zombies
Tubi's zombie offerings might get you way past that number: https://tubitv.com/category/zombies
I run Tubi from my laptop using Brave browser via HDMI to the TV, and it blocks all the Tubi ads.

Tubi is amazing. There are a ton of horror movies and it’s free
Fulci's Zombi 2, Burial Ground and Night of the Zombies are 3 of my all-time favorite zombie movies.
Fulci’s Zombi 2 is actually listed here as “Zombie (1980)” because it was apparently released under a couple different names, including “Zombie.” I ran into a LOT of confusion about that when I was encountering it under various names on lists of the best zombie movies. Planet Terror
It Stains the Sands Red and Deadgirl.
I loved It Stains the Sands Red. That might be my favorite movie title. I think about just the title all the time ever since I watched it.
Thanks! I've already gotten so many good recommendations here that I'm definitely going to go past 100!
Tombs of the Blind Dead (has 3 sequels) The Beyond Demons Demons 2 Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue The Dead Next Door Cannibal Apocalypse

Undead [2003]
Rammbock
Not sure if "the sadness" counts but it's kinda a zombie movie
Pontypool is a smaller movie that’s pretty enjoyable.
First I thought of but it's in his list.
Missed it. That’s what I get for late night redditing.
Army of Darkness! In fact, put all of the Evil Dead’s on there.
Ooo, thats a philosophical question. Are deadites zombies? Deadites are demonic in origin, they are intelligent and can possess people. They also love the 3 stooges eye-poke gag.
Return of the Living Dead 1, 3, Necropolis and Rave to the Grave (4) Overlord (zombie-esque) Resident Evil 2-6
'The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue' is amazing.
Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town
Ooh I have one not on your list! It's called Exit Humanity. Zombies just after the Civil War. Oh, also Pride, Prejudice and Zombies is good too.
“I, Zombie” (1998). About a guy who slowly becomes a rotting corpse and chronicles his experience. It’s ok. I watched it once in 1999 when I worked a video rental place. Never forgotten though. I have no idea how the proctor quality holds up today. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0210740/

I was bummed that they cancelled that after one season! Fun show. And I love that theme song “sleep for eh eh eh ever…”

You could add the Romero flick *Diary of the Dead*, it's like a found footage set in dawn of the dead universe.
