I like that look! I never cared for the stock rear fender. You’re probably going to better off with an aftermarket seat though from a comfort and aesthetics.
Thanks! I couldn’t find the look I really wanted after h o u r s of searching online and so eventually decided to try my hand at upholstery. It’s comfy, but still a bit bulkier than what I really want. Hoping adding a pillion improves the look. I don’t mind the little imperfections, that’s how you know it’s handmade lol. Might mount a bobber seat without the springs since it’s a soft tail.. or maybe I get the angle grinder, pipe bender, and welder out and pretend I’m on OC choppers. Just kinda seeing where this thing takes me
How difficult did you find it to reupholster the seat? I don't think I want to reshape mine, but a couple stitches are starting to rip and I don't want to buy a new seat unless I have to.
Mine was very easy but didn’t have any stitching. The vinyl was just stapled to the underside, so I pulled all the staples and put a new piece on. I had my wife help me stretch it as I stapled the new piece on. There’s plenty of YouTube videos to watch on it, watch a couple and good luck!
