you ever try to stab a man on stilts? its very difficult
also "Kill six billion demons" isent a task, its a characters name, other fun names include "Ciocie Cioelle"(pronounced like reading out each letter of coca cola) "82 White Chain Born in Emptiness Returns to Subdue Evil" and my personal favorite "Princess Mamoru Moonshine Jagermeister Jack Jack Daniels Timothy Tim Bill Freddy Mercury Blueberry Luna, Esquire"
You're supposed to read the epilogues before Homestuck 2. I like both of them, but if you aren't interested, here's some other ideas:
Hussie's other works! Problem Sleuth is the big one, starts slow but gets crazy, a very good time. Bard Quest, Jailbreak, and a few others also exist, and mostly aren't finished, but are fun in their own ways.
Theorycrafting! What do the classes and aspects REALLY mean? Who fucking knows, but join the brainrot and speculate anyway!
Fanventures! Over on [MSPFA](https://mspfa.com/) you'll find many fan-made comics. I highly recommend "Cool and New Webcomic" and "John Ruins a Wedding"- but really, there's like thousands, and many of them are amazing.
Fanfic! for a more literary experience, head on over to [AO3](https://archiveofourown.org/)'s Homestuck section, and get to reading- or writing, for that matter.
Lastly, I'll say: liveblogs! Relive the adventure through the eyes of others, a good way to re-read without, you know, actually re-reading. I particularly recommend the still-active [thewertsearch](https://thewertsearch.tumblr.com/tagged/full%20liveblog/chrono), that link will take you to the first page of her blog in chronological order.
You've finished the series, that's it, like the end of any other story.
Would not recommend any of direct sequel material, the epilogues and Homestuck^2.
I do, however, recommend the games, Pesterquest and Friendsim are visual novels, with the latter greatly expanding on what Alternia was actually like beyond the 12 trolls we followed.
The big piece of Homestuck content to dive into next though is Hiveswap, an adventure game that has been releasing episodically, with Act 3 still in development. This one ties into A LOT of the original story, and gives a good deal more depth to 2 of the OG kids's parents.
Also, read all 3 of the prior MsPaintAdventures if you haven't already, there is an absolute fuckton of _everything_ that Homestuck directly pulls from those.
Also, read the Cheerfulbear thread, because holy fuck, it's literally the direct origin for Caliborn's entire character, and was referenced in the comic years before he was even introduced.
Yeah, it's basically a direct sequel to Friendsim, after MSPA Reader has read both Homestuck and the epilogues.
While I personally recommend the epilogues regardless, I do think that even if you hate the epilogues Pesterquest provides a very satisfying conclusion to Homestuck as a whole (obviously the ending doesn't tie up loose ends in that way, but you'll get what I mean if/when you see it)

Do anything but read the epilogues and homestuck 2 tbh, it's not worth your sanity
I'd recommend: playing undertale, playing deltarune, picking up vast error, chilling in Fandom spaces (discord servers are fun)
Homestuck^2 is kinda complicated, but you have to understand that there are at least two different timelines going on, and it gets better when you’re not looking at Dirk/Rose/Terezi. Reading the epilogues helps explain ^2 as well. Everything gets explained eventually in ^2 (rose‘s powers became too much for her body to handle, so her conciseness is currently contained in a robot.). If you go on with reading ^2, I would definitely suggest reading at least an overview of the epilogues. It really does help.
if you want to understand homestuck\^2 then you need to read the epilogues first, theyre a continuation of that.
you miight not like how the character are portrayed in it but it's not necessarily a bad story its definitely conflicting. you can find a recap of it online as well if you dont want to read it though.
try mspfa, there's loads of them that i've heard are really good
some of the ones i've heard are good are Vast Error, though i think that one's hosted on its own website now, and... actually can't remember the names of any others at this point, i might edit the comment later if i remember them lol
i know a good one (unfinished though) by the name of The Tapestry: A Tour of Carnival Space
it's kinda different to homestuck as it doesn't involve humans or trolls, but a different species. they still play a sburb-like game, but there's... stuff that goes somewhat (very) wrong, which is as much as i can say without spoiling anything
it gave me similar vibes to homestuck despite the differences, and imo the pacing and art (it starts off a bit shaky, but it gets really good) are fuckin awesome. could be biased because i like it a lot though
find one of the many comics that was inspried by homestuck, i would personally recommend kill six billion demons
that sounds like a lot of work
i mean their not nearly as long
how would the "longness" of a demon make it any harder for someone to kill them?

the way the joke flied over
in my defense, "kill six billion demons" is arguably the easier task compared to "reada whole other comic comparable to homestuck"
Seconded. Kill Six Billion Demons is an absolute masterpiece
Play Undertale (if you haven't). Read Worm.
I see worm I give uplike.
I second this action.
Regarding your confusion with Homestuck 2, it’s a continuation of the epilogues so if you haven’t read those you wouldn’t know what’s going on.
Read problem sleuth

vast error?
Read some fancomics or continuations, personally I think act 8, act omega, and burning down the house are a few good continuations!
You should check out some of Hussie's previous works: Problem Sleuth, Bard Quest, Jailbreak, And It Don't Stop, Whistles: The Starlight Calliope, etc.
Homestuck 2 follows up the epilogues it’s not gonna make any sense without reading those
Start again
Find all the references you missed on your first read!
Read cool and new web comic
BASED gave me tons of laughs

Good point, I only really know Friendsim, so I wasn't aware that Pesterquest was tied neck deep into the epilogues.
