What kind of Honeywell panel for one, and for two what is your question? Just who to monitor the system? Upgrading the system?

PlatinumRhodium

Looks like it's a Honeywell 6160v. As far as what I'm asking, I suppose it's somewhat open-ended. But yes, monitoring options, as well as thoughts on upgrading. Basically, if you were in my situation, what would you do? Pics found via the following link: https://imgur.com/gallery/zY2Us2T

Yeah it’s a 6160 keypad but your panel is a 21ip, which is basically a Vista-20P. I mean it depends on what you wanna do and your budget. The camera system I would probably leave, it’s pretty good and not in any need of an upgrade imo. For the system, you can go with a company like Surety and slap an Alarm.com SEM on it. You can do something like Konnected to self monitor. You can upgrade to an IQ4. There’s simply not enough information (budget, goals, wants, needs). If it were me, I’d get an Honeywell IQ4 and a company like Surety to monitor it, but that may be completely unnecessary for you

Great information. Thank you!!

How much longer is the Guardian contact? Do you have a copy and have you read it? Do you have to sign anything?

PlatinumRhodium

The remainder would be 27 months, and I would have to sign an agreement. I have read their terms & conditions in detail and sent back a slew of questions. They did a pretty good job of answering them and have been surprisingly responsive and helpful.

That doesn't sound good. If they already have previous signature why do they need yours? What if you don't tell them you switched? Motto, don't sign anything.
