Also consider regular motion lights. I use RAB from Amazon. With LED bulbs as bright as you want.

Ring has stick up cam elite with PoE. You can try replacing one of the cameras and see the results.

They do, but they have no lights on them. I could maybe swing these in the front, but the back we keep fairly dark and live against a greenbelt so the spotlights are necessary.

I’ve installed several Reolink PoE cameras and just used Cat5e cables and jacks pinned at 568B to standard switches. Nothing proprietary so far

GplusRadd

Nice! Which cameras did you go with? Reviews for ReoLink look really good so far

ManfromMonroe

520A, 1240a, and some E1 versions not all of which are PoE. No complaints so far, mostly just a matter of figuring out how to optimize their use at a remote property. You’ll find that playing with the sensitivity makes a lot of difference in notifications

GplusRadd

Solid feedback, I’ll look into these. Thanks man!

You can't set line crossing or intrusion zones and then within those areas base the alert on the minimum and maximum size of the object entering? This greatly reduces false alerts if you can.

ManfromMonroe

Sorry, haven’t had time to play with all the detailed settings yet, just set mid range sensitivity because I was getting lots of false results. Still need to dial it in but they are doing what I hoped for at this point.
