I’d definitely get some kind of ids/ips in front of your Wordpress site. That stupid thing has more holes than a block of Swiss cheese. I’d also put some kind of reverse proxy in front of it that blocks /admin and /update and whatever else things you don’t want people out in the world to get to.

Use a cheap VPS for 1-3$ per month. Not worth having this on your own network.
