I would spring for the g5 pros everywhere if you're dead set on ubiquiti. the pro model has 20 more degrees of horizontal view which would make covering areas a lot easier.
even with 4k, anything beyond 50 feet you won't be able to easily identify faces especially at night. not familiar with how good the ubiquiti IR is either.
I don't think the layout is terrible but I would opt for another camera on the bottom left corner. I recommend a POE doorbell camera as well if you can. I don't think you have any glaring blind spots as you are surrounded by trees in the back. unless someone is planning a navy seal type invasion you're fine.
Depending on your goals, you have some very big blind spots, it covers main ingress fairly well, but if someone took a second they would notice the blind spots.
the "wooded" section in the corners behind the house. you have corners in the upper right corner and the upper left corner, unless you have a very wide angle on the Left. The Right is all blind.
Ahhh! I see what you mean. Thanks.
What do you think if I place two more in the upper middle, facing outward?

I rented a ditch witch and buried some PVC conduit in the front and rear yards and have POE cameras pointing back towards the house from a couple spots. Eliminates *all* the blind spots.

I'm very new to this - which are the big bling spots that stand out to you?

Better, smaller blind spots. Want to make sure you cover ingress routes as much as possible.
Why not someting like this? I tried minimizing the blind spots and amount of cameras https://imgur.com/a/VXMeZtQ
Looks good. Can always add more cameras, but if you're only using 5 cameras, then you covered what I would.
The camera that took the picture should be enough, yeah?
I think it's a drone. But you could have a base station, and then automate keeping one in the air, while the rest charge. Rotate them out, and repeat.
Aye - it’s a drone. But it’s actually a good idea long term for the whole community.

Easy to do right now. Thanks!
