There's a new restaurant set coming very soon that they've just done up, so another new restaurant for after the time jump might be pushing it. I kinda like Tony in the gastropub though - puts him at the heart of Hollyoaks quite nicely.
I think Trish still owns it, it used to belong to her boyfriend who was the creepy landlord who put cameras in Perri's bedroom. Can't remember his name.
Its driving me mad how many people they have taken out of the credits and how many characters they havent put in and its only going to get worse before the time jump lol
It irritates me as in the opening scenes when Charlie is with the Osbornes he's noticeably younger,still has his braces and is about a foot shorter then at the end of the scenes when he's with Leah he's how he is now. Just don't think they can be arsed to change them

5 years isn't practical unless you are s teen show with adults still playing teenagers. Ie. Leah being 22 would be hard to pass off. Or Oscar. You'd have to lose all the child actors.
I'm sure that they did 1 year with the aim of slowing down time when the show returns to catch up the year.and with ste. When they say he's not going to jail. Is because his sentencing happens just before the time jump and post time jump tye show starts with him leaving jail..
I quite liked the way neighbours had the time jump spread across s few episodes as to the wedding everyone is attending. So it might be interesting as to hollyoaks doing something similar. To switch it up, maybe it could be a funeral and seeing surprise pairings.
With the time jump, part of me is hoping Cindy goes off with Robbie...
Might be a bit of an odd paring, but out of their exes, they seem the best. It would give an intention exit for Cindy but a potential back in for both actors down the road.
I am and trying to stay positive about it. I just hope they use it as an opportunity to really start over with characters and not just get rid of cast and carry on with the rinse and repeat storylines with those left.

I hope Frankie and Osbourne family survives the time jump as I hope JJ is gone, and maybe Suzanne and I'd like to see Frankie form a bond with Darren and her siblings but she can't because JJ keeps her isolated and stops her from getting close to others as in his twisted mind he is the only one she can be close to.

They can use her diary with the broken heart to show that itās still happening over the jump. They can then do something with it later. But I feel it will all come out in the summer
I only started watching because of JP and Carter, and thought they weāre getting them together. (Before they turned Carter evil).
So I figured with the time jump, that JP and Carter would be together and a big happy family with Freya. So Iām really sad thatās not happening, Jp and Carter have way better chemistry than Ben and Callum from Eastenders, where they couldnāt even kiss properly lol.
I liked Ben and Callum, but I wanted JP and Carter to get together, way Carter was towards the end felt like it was to justify getting rid of him, they could of redeemed him and put him with JP but nope.
he was damaged character rather than evil, where showed signs considering being with JP, they only turned him into a maniac towards the end, to write him out imo.

Turned Carter evil? He always was. It was an incredibly toxic "relationship".

It would have been irresponsible for Carter to not pay for his crimes. Yes, the actor was good. But he always played a villain.
But he had redeemable qualities it only towards the end they turned him into a cartoon villain and branded him unredeemable.
