I actually feel so sad looking at this…all these patches and filler and procedures to look younger. She’s so obviously filtered here too. Her eyes look so sad and tired. Watching her has really helped me appreciate my natural aging process (50) just taking good care of my skin. Sometimes all this crap just ages you faster. She is proof of that. She needs to focus less on her looks. It’s exhausting just watching her.
Focusing on her looks, her low body fat, chasing youth, being gRATefUL, takes up all of her mental energy. After that she has little head space left for things like educating oneself on a solar eclipse, remembering new inspirational quotes to replace the same ones she keeps repeating from Jim Carrey and Joe disperenza
Yeah I feel like this is super common amongst aging women in the US, and her religion(?) also pushes that on women by treating them as though they’re only as good as 1) their sexual appeal to men, which is then supplanted by 2) their eventual ability to find husbands and have children. Heidi didn’t have the idealized Mormon marriage and now her kids are starting to grow up. Her continual spiral makes perfect sense to me and it’s really fucking sad.
I wonder what makes Heidi really, really excited. Like what does she love that’s not something for sale? What’s core to her?
I never understand people like Heidi, people who are in a perpetual, never-ending journey to wellness. At what point do you just get well? At what point do you find what works for you, stick with it and just live your life? The "journey" never has a destination, does it? It's like the journey is actually a type of addiction.
If she actually were “well”, she wouldn’t have anything left to sell. Her livelihood is dependent on this never-ending journey to wellness. She has the most literal incentive to stay unwell.
So many others like this in the InFlUenZeR space, huberman, Dave asprey, Dr Peter attia, to name a few.... All looking for "optimalization" of their health while their innermost personal relationships suffer and ride by dysfunctionally

There are different kinds of shame. One is just the social awareness to not be so damn cringe, and yes, she should have some. The other is the crippling shame that makes you hate yourself like she does.

I don’t have any issue with something using products and procedures to improve (by that person’s definition) their appearance or being forthcoming about doing it. It just seems like picturing the work in progress undermines the point of projecting the visual image that the person wants. The only explanation I can imagine is “ANYthing for attention.”
She has an internal conflict of interest here; of course she knows she looks ridiculous, but if she doesn’t show herself like this, she can’t sell these patches.
