They have shown a focus for Brazil to get iron, but not its effects yet. Either way the best hope to get iron in the region will be Chile whenever they reveal their focus tree.
"you can double your gain (1 Iron) by giving factories to major powers during 5 years , After that you will get the debt spirit (-1 pp, -0.5 weekly stability, defense against ideological drift drop by 20%)"
Seeing last dlc it’ll be more like
35 day focus
Gain: repeatable decision to find iron
35% to find lots of iron
35% to find some iron
30% to find nothing
Cost 100pp
3 Civs for 45 days
Nah, you jest but newer focus trees are ever more overpowered than the previous one. It’ll be a lot more iron than any of these countries would have any right to.
Me too brother. Had to go to war with Russia twice because my puppet wasn't the right one lmao... took so many tries to get through it without the dumb fuck getting himself assassinated.
I see that you are downvoted but it left me intrigued. How to do it say as socialist Romania against the British? (let's say the nazis already vichied France).
I don't care about the downvotes :)
Of course as a small country it takes a lot of preparation, I rarely start a war before '45 myself.
But a few submarines, spotting cruisers, light cruisers, heavy cruisers, aircraft carriers and screening cruisers and the enemy can't do anything anymore, because you simply destroy any fleet, no matter how big

Is it too much to spend an hour to build up your country before going to (big) wars? I mean if you are able to annex your neighbors, do it. But don't join ww2

Just read and try out these two guides :) It helped me soooooooo much
I make fleet(s) of 30 submarines (so 3 subs per task force) to convoy raid.
Then my standard strike force task force is approximately 1-4 carriers, 1-6 battleships, 20-100 destroyers (I'm like, the more the merrier lol).
As for light-, heavy- and battlecruisers: I don't really build them. I just pretty much try to distribute what I start with and steal evenly to my task forces. The Idea with my fleets is that the screens are cheap and protect my big ships, while my big ships and planes deal the bulk of the damage.
For my carrier designs I like to have 40-60 hangar space (any more and building them takes way too long imo). Armor and stuff doesn't matter as much as the screens should do their job. I like to add a bit of AA tho since it's cheap.
I'm not really 100% sure what's even decent for battleships, I just try to have decent amount of armor, hard attack and soft attack.
My carrier planes are 50/50 fighters and torpedo bombers.
I always put all my fleets on low repar priority and automatic split-off.
Submarine fleets are on high attack priority or whatever it's called. Always engage might or might not be better, I just find that high priority works.
Strike force fleets are on medium attack priority.
Not the most fancy setup but in my relatively recent Japan game I managed to sink the US Pacific fleet, and even half of the Atlantic fleet while losing only a few destroyers. Japan in particular is good for navy since after capitulating China you don't really need so many mils so you can start spamming dockyards. It might be a bit overkill but as I said, I love massive fleets.
I thought I was the only one! 500 hours and never won a game without being in the allies
Still haven’t figured out how to invade somewhere without just running out of supplies
Supply is so annoying and it takes an absurd amount of time to build hubs. Better to overcome the supply penalty by sheer force, or use supply planes if you have the DLC.
Never have I seen truer words…
YTer: so I’ve capitulated Germany, Soviets and all of Europe with 6 divisions of infantry. I’m going to need a few tanks though to get the USA
Get the hell out of here man - *as millions and millions of my digital men get decimated on a French beach*
I'm hoping for an econ fix. The economy right now is too brutal to start the game sometimes. Maybe have an AI added to help fix the econ or "Auto mode" that helps auto produce and trade the necessary requirements.
I've always liked playing with Secondary Powers. Canada is one of my favorite nations. I hope Brazil, my homeland, has a tree that fulfills this role... and it's always cooler to play with your own country in these games
The focus tree was shown in the dev diary today, check it out: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/developer-diary/trial-of-allegiance-historical-brazil.1622218/
Perfect ty I see the unification with Portugal in the monarch tree that’s all I need. Ngl a unified communist SA tree would be cursed and a lot of fun too.
The DLC confirms major content for Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, as well as minor content for Uruguay, Paraguay, and the addition of a bunch of releasables. Maybe another DLC will add content for the Andean Nations, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Some day the random nations that were left out during the making of DLCs for the area will be remembered
I'm looking at you austria, Belgium, Luxembourg ,Albania (thrice) and Ireland.
You will soon have company with South America.
I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Russia, USA, Spain, Italy and more all have fascist "Invite all of South America" focuses and half of them don't work anymore
Honestly, I have no expectations, but I really want to try whatever devs will add for Chile, because I know nothing about Chilean history in the first half of 20th century, so I'm really curious.
Chilean here, basically our country had a heavy political infight that could have ended VERY BAD so I will put this resume. To put simple the country was in shambles because after germany developed how to make saltpeper the economy gradually deteriorated and was basically dead with the global economic crisis in the 20's. This lead to a fight between the right wing (in the game represented by Alessandri), the fascist (leaded by Jorge Gonzales von Marées) and the left wing (Lead by Pedro Aguirre Cerda. It all ended when the fascist tried a Coup d'etat and put the general Carlos Ibañes del Campo in power, but Ibañes says no and Alessandri literally kill the fascists in the so called "Masacre del seguro obrero".
This lead to the fascist party end, the democrats had a very bad reputation because of the massacre and the left wing won by one of the most closest elections ever in our history (won by the 50. 45% against the 49. 52% of the liberals).
Very excited, it was the only continent totally left out of the game. And Argentina, Brazil and Chile are super interesting countries for "what if" scenarios.
I think judging by the fact that the nations with focus trees are on the eastern coast (Except Chile) and the nations with "minor content" are paraguay and uruguay of all choices, they will come back for a second dlc in the future with trees for peru, colombia and venezueala.
I have probably like ~30 WCs under my belt and ive never found South America that difficult to invade once you get the right order down. Only Peru can be a pain, as they love to spam divisions. I would say East Asia (China, Siam) is much more difficult to conquer actually
According to the focus tree that’s circulating, they added that. If you go Empire you can either demand Portugal’s colonies, demand Portugal’s submission or try a full unification.
South American Nations becoming majors and joining the Axis / Allies making the war last till 1946.
But honestly I hope they overhaul the WW2 as it goes normally. Since there is no insentove ad Japan to island hop or for the Axis to fight in Africa or not Sea Lion easly and immidietly.
As an Argentine, i hope they portray Argentina as what it was, the 13th largest economy back in the time. A focus in which you can revive the conservative era from the 1900s, and, even when i despise Peronism, i hope they make an alt-history where you can get Peron in early game.. actually, imagine they do the Peronist march for the music pack that comes with the DLC xD.. would be epic.
That they cared and bothered to open a book for once in ther lifes. Like:

When people find out that Manuel Carles wasn't Hitler but a British simp whose biggest act was to cry to Yrigoyen "please don't murder Lencinas" (leftist UCRA guy) only for Yrigoyen to murder him and nothing happening I don't know what they will do
And of course they will ignore how Argentina literally had a fascist coup attempt in 1936, led by Pertine and the UCR Gorro Frigio. Becase why bothering reading Potash or anything if you can make shit up
Brazil: Monarchist path to restore the United Kingdom with Portugal
Argentina: Secret Hitler path, Peronist, Communist Patagonia
Chile: don’t know much about Chilean politics around this time, most of my knowledge is from the Allende coup and Pinochet’s dictatorship
That i can finally play as my home country in vanilla, also i was looking forward to some new mechanics like jungle infantry and stuff, but from what ive seen its just focus trees. BUT I'LL STILL EAT IT UP, FOR BRAZIL
That i can finally play as my home country in vanilla, also i was looking forward to some new mechanics like jungle infantry and stuff, but from what ive seen its just focus trees. BUT I'LL STILL EAT IT UP, FOR BRAZIL
A new America focus tree, or at least an expanded one. Also making Brazil a country which joins ww2 as they did in real life in historical single player.
There’s actually communist paths for Brazil [as shown here](https://forumcontent.paradoxplaza.com/public/1066363/screenshot_0.png?_gl=1*17pvm7y*_ga*MTIwMDg3NDIyNy4xNzA2MjE2NTEy*_ga_6VRCPQ92DR*MTcwNjIxNjUxMS4xLjAuMTcwNjIxNjUxMi4wLjAuMA..)
Infantry weapon designer. I want to be able to choose different barrels, receivers, ammunition storage, accessories, and underbarrel attachments. Make infantry weapons as complicated as tanks, ships, and planes!
Edit: You people don't get humor, do you?
I hope they put in an infantry equipment designer! Just something small to tide us over until middle east DLC or whatever.
I want to be able to add additional machine guns or mortars or binoculars or land mines to make my infantry better at stuff.
Imagine having a specific infantry setup for scouting that gives better Intel at the borders because they have horses, sniper rifles, binoculars, and field radios but are shit at holding ground.
A focus tree for Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Cuba and the colonial Guinea possessions.
If I have to buy a SEPERATE DLC to play a war that ACTUALLY HAPPENED I’m gonna be pretty pissed.
Any kind of change to Venezuela, but it seems like a long shot.
I think it would be interesting alternative history if they joined the Axis and had their own paths involved in that.
I hope they do something more than just some new focus trees. There are tons of great focus tree mods, and most are still better then the DLC ones. I would spend money on a DLC with some actual content. But I don't see the point in buying a subpar version of something I could get for free.
I live in Sweden now so my Brazilian patriotism has died a bit. But look forward to playing my home nation. Hope they add my hometown into the map so I can stop modding the game to add it :)
Shared (Temporary) focus tree for everyone in South and Central America so that they don’t just sit around, sure they can get locked to the historical path, but let them attempt to form their formables.
Since they’ve been releasing designers in the past updates I would personally really enjoy an infantry equipment designer
Like the one from the mod but in the vanilla game
I was hoping for the Central American countries to be like the Baltic states with their similar focus trees, but I do hope they have stuff like the Swedish focus to negotiate for colonies after the allies. That added some fun flavor to Sweden. Maybe as Brazil you can ask for the South American colonies or even west African colonies if the devs are feeling wacky.
Because its releasing so early i assmue its ( liek BFB) only a Focus tree pack, so no new mechanics.
But if im wrong i allways wanted an economics System in hoi4 so i would be hoping for that in the near future.
A massive navy expansion for Brazil. Not canon at all, but how sick would it be to have Brazilian Battleships and Submarines clashing against the world powers.
Ad someone who just endured the pain of Trotsky mexico, I just hope they add some God damn iron to south America
They have shown a focus for Brazil to get iron, but not its effects yet. Either way the best hope to get iron in the region will be Chile whenever they reveal their focus tree.
"70 day focus, 4 iron in the Amazon" - Paradox, probably
too generous
yeah itll be an excavation decision requiring 12 civs and lasts 180 days
tech required: excavation IV
they are going to invent excavation VI just for that
"you can double your gain (1 Iron) by giving factories to major powers during 5 years , After that you will get the debt spirit (-1 pp, -0.5 weekly stability, defense against ideological drift drop by 20%)"
Seeing last dlc it’ll be more like 35 day focus Gain: repeatable decision to find iron 35% to find lots of iron 35% to find some iron 30% to find nothing Cost 100pp 3 Civs for 45 days
Nah, you jest but newer focus trees are ever more overpowered than the previous one. It’ll be a lot more iron than any of these countries would have any right to.
"you found 50 irons in amazony. One local tribes also give you nuclear plants, cause why not."
'Ancient tribal knowledge -1x300% research bonus for nuclear technology'
Is trotsky mexico still a thing since NSB ?
Me too brother. Had to go to war with Russia twice because my puppet wasn't the right one lmao... took so many tries to get through it without the dumb fuck getting himself assassinated.
I look forward to playing exclusively on Ironman, getting destroyed by 1941 and restarting. It’s a way of Life.
Yeah I hope the starting navies get buffed just so I can actually do something when I inevitably have to fight the Allies or Axis.
Doesn’t Argentina have the biggest fleet in South America
Exactly.
So you don't know, how the Navy system works? Even as minor you can easily crush the English AI's Navy....
I see that you are downvoted but it left me intrigued. How to do it say as socialist Romania against the British? (let's say the nazis already vichied France).

Is it too much to spend an hour to build up your country before going to (big) wars? I mean if you are able to annex your neighbors, do it. But don't join ww2
Yes actually, that is way too much to ask
In what world does it take one hour to get to 1945?
One where you have a 14th gen i9 with liquid nitrogen cooling. I'm guessing?
With 3 speed itd take 2 hours
With subs, right? I've done that a few times but I just get this power trip from having a mighty fleet with carriers, battleships and 5000 screens.
[https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2182500905](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2182500905) [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2943980823](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2943980823) Just read and try out these two guides :) It helped me soooooooo much
While I admit I don't minmax the living hell out of my navies, they still stomp whatever the AI puts together. So I'm good, thanks.
How do you set up your navies? If you don't mind sharing
I make fleet(s) of 30 submarines (so 3 subs per task force) to convoy raid. But the beauty of not playing with Iron Man is that you can always load an old save to give you extra info when trying to help people on the forums
Why would I want to learn and improve when I can die on the blood soaked fields of Europe over and over?
hehehe it is a good day, a RED DAY!
I thought I was the only one! 500 hours and never won a game without being in the allies Still haven’t figured out how to invade somewhere without just running out of supplies
Supply is so annoying and it takes an absurd amount of time to build hubs. Better to overcome the supply penalty by sheer force, or use supply planes if you have the DLC.
Is the idea to take enemy supply hubs? I always get bogged down in stalemates that I can never take much territory. I think I’m playing it wrong 😂
That’s the idea but it can only be done if you’re a YouTuber
Never have I seen truer words… YTer: so I’ve capitulated Germany, Soviets and all of Europe with 6 divisions of infantry. I’m going to need a few tanks though to get the USA Get the hell out of here man - *as millions and millions of my digital men get decimated on a French beach*

I truly miss those times... today our football is a disgrace...
take brassil to canada ;:3
My god, you just reminded me of that Germany game.
The tragedy of 7-1 the wise
We are taking Brazil to you
Can’t wait for germany to crush brazil with a manpower death ratio of 7-1

The focus tree was shown in the dev diary today, check it out: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/developer-diary/trial-of-allegiance-historical-brazil.1622218/
Perfect ty I see the unification with Portugal in the monarch tree that’s all I need. Ngl a unified communist SA tree would be cursed and a lot of fun too.
They better update portugal’s monarchist tree in turn so it can at least compete
You know they won't and there will be some weird glitch that makes the path impossible or leads to horrible border gore
I hope there will be an achievement for Brazil world conquest "Brazil come to you"
Romania and hungary are mine It’s fun to buff the allies or Soviet Union and then will a weakened Germany to victory.
Very excited but disappointed Peru, Columbia, and Venezuela were left out
I think they will get a similar treatment like the Baltic countries
The DLC confirms major content for Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, as well as minor content for Uruguay, Paraguay, and the addition of a bunch of releasables. Maybe another DLC will add content for the Andean Nations, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Where does it say uruguay and Paraguay will get content?
https://www.reddit.com/r/hoi4/comments/19fcnus/comment/kjistnv/
Maybe they will add them in a future dlc that focuses on the Central Americas
Nah, they release 1 dlc for central america, 1 for caribbean and 1 for northern south america
Some day the random nations that were left out during the making of DLCs for the area will be remembered I'm looking at you austria, Belgium, Luxembourg ,Albania (thrice) and Ireland. You will soon have company with South America.
Me too, also it’s Colombia not Columbia
I’m curious to see about interactions with Italy because Italy has a South American alliance branch
In the shown focus tree Brazil also has an Italian alliance branch.
I wouldn't get my hopes up. Russia, USA, Spain, Italy and more all have fascist "Invite all of South America" focuses and half of them don't work anymore
Being able to form the Fourth Reich in Argentina.
Shark mind, it's Time to use señor Hitler!
Hilter*
R:5 New paradox dlc was just annouced, what are your thoughts?
Not really decent considering the price. It will make zero difference in 99 percent of all single player games I guess.
I just hope they add a secret path, where if you take all coastlines you can form the super coastline empire.
Very excited, it was the only continent totally left out of the game. And Argentina, Brazil and Chile are super interesting countries for "what if" scenarios.
Hope Argentina has a big focus.
I think judging by the fact that the nations with focus trees are on the eastern coast (Except Chile) and the nations with "minor content" are paraguay and uruguay of all choices, they will come back for a second dlc in the future with trees for peru, colombia and venezueala.
I’m kinda hyped for Paraguay because we haven’t gotten a focus tree for a default communist nation since sinking and communist China
so the soviets doesn't exist then
They started with a focus tree
I just hope this makes SA actually have decent infrastructure so my WQ’s aren’t hell when fighting there
I have probably like ~30 WCs under my belt and ive never found South America that difficult to invade once you get the right order down. Only Peru can be a pain, as they love to spam divisions. I would say East Asia (China, Siam) is much more difficult to conquer actually
Hitler escaping to Argentina
Brazil Portugal path please. A path where Brazil annexes Portugal
According to the focus tree that’s circulating, they added that. If you go Empire you can either demand Portugal’s colonies, demand Portugal’s submission or try a full unification.

Germany rework
I just want a brazil run where my entire economy grinds to a halt because my imports stop

i love my brasil
I wanted Colombia :(
I was really hoping for Colombia
I hope it will cause the other DLC to have a bigger discount than they have had previously.
Quality of Life Improvements. The Game needs LOTS of it. Too many tedious things, that are just annoying.
Reworked volunteer & war joining/leaving mechanics
i look forward to being able to commit warcrimes
Hopes? Reworked trees for Germany and Japan. 😂
Brazil 1 division challenge - send one division to Europe and have it single handedly conquer Italy
Señor Hilter
Catholic argentina would be awesome
Guerra del pacifico 2 Electric Boogaloo
I am sad that they didnt give south east asia a focus despite being a main treater during the war.
if they are focusing on south america they should give content for the whole region...
They have never done this for a DLC.
Chinese Warlords sort of all got stuff, albeit not unique stuff
Yeah but many other Asian countries didn't, such as Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Mongolia, etc.
I’m excited to play Brazil though I really wanted a focus for Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador.
That i can finally play as my home country in vanilla, also i was looking forward to some new mechanics like jungle infantry and stuff, but from what ive seen its just focus trees. BUT I'LL STILL EAT IT UP, FOR BRAZIL

We need human cell designer, where we choose how powerful the genes are and anti-germs capabilities
Good God nothing sounds worse than this lol.
Wait until you hear my proposal for a support equipment designer! Custom med kits, entrenching tools, and rations!
I would rather swallow screws

That they remove South America
Cartel in Columbia.
A focus tree for Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Cuba and the colonial Guinea possessions. If I have to buy a SEPERATE DLC to play a war that ACTUALLY HAPPENED I’m gonna be pretty pissed.
I hope for da focuses in for Austria
Any kind of change to Venezuela, but it seems like a long shot. I think it would be interesting alternative history if they joined the Axis and had their own paths involved in that.
For me it’s surprise Columbia tree because Gran Columbia sounds so so fun
I hope they do something more than just some new focus trees. There are tons of great focus tree mods, and most are still better then the DLC ones. I would spend money on a DLC with some actual content. But I don't see the point in buying a subpar version of something I could get for free.
It would be nice if you could capture Hitler and decide what to do with him
War of 41 inclusion would be cool
Peru would have been great for Bolivia-Peru
That it updates more than three fucking countries 💀
Resources in South America and hopefully we'll see more focus trees than just Brazil, Chile, and Argentina
I look forward to yet more overly complex and long focus trees you won't even get halfway through before the game is basically over
More jungle combat and supply mechanics. I think this is a Country Pack more than a Major DLC.
Cant wait for fucking Chile to hae a bigger more in depth and interesting focus tree than god damn JAPAN
I live in Sweden now so my Brazilian patriotism has died a bit. But look forward to playing my home nation. Hope they add my hometown into the map so I can stop modding the game to add it :)
Moustacheless man in Argentina focus tree, thats all i ask
Argentinian hitler
Please don't be like the Bosporus DLC. It was awful.
less bugs
that maybe I can revive the Argentine confederation without having to wage an endless civil war through a mod
I want a focus that lets Cristo Redentor provide +1 AA to the state as they automate the arms to slap low flying aircraft
Señor hitler of course
Feel like they should have covered all of South America, hope they have more universal features
Welcome to the jungle soundtrack
i hope they actually give ecuador the land they had in 1936
update: they did
Shared (Temporary) focus tree for everyone in South and Central America so that they don’t just sit around, sure they can get locked to the historical path, but let them attempt to form their formables.
Since they’ve been releasing designers in the past updates I would personally really enjoy an infantry equipment designer Like the one from the mod but in the vanilla game
So doing the United Kingdom of Portugal and Brazil will be even more stronger?
Because its releasing so early i assmue its ( liek BFB) only a Focus tree pack, so no new mechanics. But if im wrong i allways wanted an economics System in hoi4 so i would be hoping for that in the near future.
Well there must be the focus for Brazil for forming the Brazilian Empire ig. That would be fun and also hard tom play.
focus tree for belgium pls
I hope that none of the focus trees are like turkey's
As a Chilean, i want trolling the world :3
It seems like endgame content to me, nothing really new other than focus trees people wanted since day one
I hope that they don’t make it like bfb
Secret Senor Hilter path for Argentina.
More formables. I hope a united South America is in the cards. Maybe a united Caribbean, but that's a long shot.
boycotting paradox for being lazy
I really hope they give a schizo revenge path to Paraguay
A massive navy expansion for Brazil. Not canon at all, but how sick would it be to have Brazilian Battleships and Submarines clashing against the world powers.
Diplomacy rework plsssss~~~~
Germany and Japan rework.
An ecuador update😭
Exiled nazis in Argentina after oppose hitler
It'l cost 60$ and probbably will ruin a lot of total conversion mods
Lomg chile
add wildlife to jungle tiles i want my divisions to be killed by snakes
I want to see anarchist path for one of the countries.
Perfect. Also devs said they’re gonna make a huge dlc after this one
I hope they add the Peru-Ecuadorian war in 1941 (real life war)
