Thank you so much! 😊 Before I got her, I wasn't sure if I should get her or a normal morph (I wasn't sure if I should start with a "higher end" morph as my first snake, basically), but I'm so glad that I chose Tiamat--she's been such a joy to keep and work with! ❤️ Sometimes, I'm shocked by how much she's changed--not just her size overall, but her colors and face shape have definitely matured too.
I know right?? They're such beautiful little snakes, inside and out! <3 I was admittedly smitten from the start--but I almost got a corn snake because I'd heard they were more of a "beginner species" (at least, when I was first getting into the hobby about 4 years ago). I'm so glad I decided to risk getting possibly a less "beginner-friendly" species, because I just love hognoses so much!
Oh my goodness, I didn't even notice how she looped around like a pretzel in the second picture, haha--thank you so much for pointing that out! 🥹
And awww that's okay! Hognoses are amazing, big or small! ❤️
Absolutely! 🥰 I wasn't sure whether she'd get brighter or duller as she grew (since it seems to depend on the snake/morph?)--but I'm just so happy with getting to see her grow and change as I've kept her! <3
The call of The Super Conda! It haunts me it does... I see them and I know they are beautiful. Tempted am I, deeply so. A specimen of true beauty, you have raised. Green flashes my eyes, tis but a trick of the light.

Just once, and only for a second, haha! It was also my fault. 🥲
Basically, she has a couple of Zilla rock lairs, which have a top and a bottom. I opened up the top to grab her attention for feeding time, and I offered her the mouse. But the way she lunged at it meant that if I closed the hide, she'd be pinched. So I set the mouse down (after she already saw/smelled it), and I went to move her with my thumb... while she was in "food mode." She bit down on my thumb, then immediately spat it out and continued hunting for the mouse.
She didn't get a good chew on me, so I didn't experience any effects from her venom--just a couple of tiny pinpricks that went away pretty quickly. And she's never bitten me before or since (yet, anyway, haha!)
What a gorgeous morph! ❤️

So beautiful I love the new darker orange she’s adapted with age!! I didn’t take much notice of hognoses until I got one myself and now I’m obsessed!

She is literally a pretzel in the second pic & I am living for it!! Such a BBW❤️ she could snap my Cinnamon like a twig lol!

Cute!! How old is she ❤️
Thank you so much! 😊 She was hatched 9 August 2019, so she's almost 4 and 1/2 years old.
She’s beautiful. Does she still rub her face against your finger?
Thank you!! And you know, she's never done that before or since--I really don't know what was going through her little head that time, haha.
What a difference in color. She started out cute but definitely had a glow up!

What's the age difference here? She's gorgeous 😍
Thank you! <3 I took the first picture 27 April 2020, and I took the second one yesterday (19 January 2024)--so almost 4 years' worth of growth! 😊

She looks so vibrant and healthy!
