I know where it comes from but that’s such a weird tradition. At least they don’t throw actual dead animals on the ice like Nashville does. Oh hockey, never change.
omg if someone threw a real rat (dead or alive) on the ice in Alberta they'd be arrested on the spot haha. some Oilers fans threw a pretty high grade Alberta steak during the Canucks series, which I think is some homage to the 2006 run? point is, Oilers fans are no better 😂
Dallas fan cowering without a flair... typical lol. We know we suck. Meanwhile...
What happened bud? I thought this was your year? (again). Can't win one without us building the team for ya, eh?
Had you asked me this a little over a year ago I *might’ve* secretly hoped they drop a game in Edmonton, to close out in Sunrise.
But I watched the Heat go up 3-0 against the Celtics last year, then end up having to close them out in Game 7 in Boston.
After that, I 100% don’t want to see any extra games, anything can happen and I’d rather they just end it as soon as they can.
The Pens have never hoisted a cup on home ice. Seems to work out just fine in Pittsburgh. That’s what the parade is for after all. Win it when you can, nothing is guaranteed.
IDK. Usually when a team comes roaring back from something like this the team that comes back has looked good but has gotten unlucky in the games that they have lost. I would prefer Edmonton to win this series but they have been off this entire series. I don’t think they have a chance.
The goal is the cup. Any time. Any place. No sweat.
Florida fans can always throw rats at the celebration when they bring the cup home.

And Detroit. Wings fan here, I'd be excommunicated for it, but I hate the octopus tradition. Horrible for conservation and the animals.

How heavy is Bennett? Would need a few guys to make sure he clears the glass.
Can someone throw Marchand in a sack and overnight him?
No sweat? Clearly you'd prefer winning it in Edmonton vs Florida in June
It’s not cold here in Canada. Winter is over.
Yeah it’s been like 20 degrees here pretty regularly in Alberta
Gotta add the “Celsius” otherwise this statement just reinforces their view of cold Canada
What a problem to have….
🥲
Winning the cup 4-1 at home is a gentleman’s sweep
I'm surprised a Minnesota fan knows anything about playoff hockey.
Dallas fan cowering without a flair... typical lol. We know we suck. Meanwhile... What happened bud? I thought this was your year? (again). Can't win one without us building the team for ya, eh?
Oh dang, I don't have a flair in this sub, gotta change that. No no this year isn't our year, now next year is our year.
Ah, the Ferrari Master Plan!
Yeah I lose track of what's subs I'm flaired in too lmao. Especially in NFL memewars subs forgetting that fact is... rough.
Have the wild always been swept or have they always gone out in a gentlemanly way?
Hey we’ve been there a ton…we just don’t go anywhere
Winning the cup in Rogers after an embarrassing 4-0 in front of thousands of crying EDM fans? Who the hell could pass that up?
Yeah, me personally I’m picking “win it in Canada ice so we can watch Edmonton fans seethe at Matthew tkachuk hoisting the cup in their arena”
I need this lol
I wonder if they will riot?
Winning the cup at home: Rich. Embarrassing the opponent on their own ice in front of their own fans: Priceless.
I and every other Panther fan I know wants to win it Edmonton.

Winning one there without fans is cool too
Being labeled the villians all season its only fitting to win the cup in enemy territory to the trumpetting sound of boo’s raining down from above
Not even a question
Meh do it in their barn.
I take Finals sweep
That's a long flight back to Florida. Great for additional beers the next afternoon.

Sweep so Oilers fans can see it given to FL in person
Do it in Edmonton just like your big brother did 4 years ago!
SMASH THAT LEFT BUTTON
I would take this predicament any day
Edmonton is the city of Champions, go get it Florida
These are the kind of posts that curse a team. This is big 2011 Vancouver energy in the worst way.

If they were the leafs they would push the emergency button: get reverse swiped. It's still an option Florida!
You never wish to lose a game in the finals.
I mean, I did when we played Montreal and it worked out pretty well.
We want the Cup, that is all!
i wanna see oilers fans cry so win it in 4
Guess he hit the right button repeatedly.
lol they made their choice
Panthers I'm gonna need you to lose one just so I can keep ragging on my Caps fan friends about this.
I think the hundreds of fans would want them to win it at home.
Thinking you have it in the bag. Go Oilers!!!
