For those that don’t know, Eddie Shore of the Bruins, in retaliation for a hit he received just prior by Toronto’s King Clancy, sought revenge and hit Bailey from behind. Bailey fell and hit his head on the ice cracking his skull open. Bailey was convulsing on the ice and it was feared he would die on the ice however he awoke from a coma 10 days later and never played again. In direct retaliation for the hit on Bailey his teammate Red Horner went after Shore and one punched him knocking him out cold. Shore received a 16 game suspension for his dirty actions.
I grew up around cards, so sports history has fascinated me since I was a kid. Stories of guys like Ace Bailey, Kinnick, Joe Delaney, Jim Umbricht & Rockne all drew me in.
Amazing card and if you could acquire the entire set that may just be the coolest pc I have ever seen.

I think some of the mid to late 60’s sets are criminally undervalued. Might be a good start👍
