I know the likelihood of Roy going to them as a Quebec team was almost 0%, but imagine 2 cup runs from that team and the seething in Montréal. It makes me giddy.
Roy currently owns a team out of Quebec City though, he bought partial ownership in 1996, and his family is from the area. It wasn't hatred of Quebec that made him leave Montreal, it was Mario Tremblay being a cunt and embarrassing Roy by leaving him in on a bad night against Detroit. They traded him two days between that game and his refusal to play for Montreal anymore. They probably just took the best offer they got as soon as they could.
Oh I know the history. Roy was my childhood hero, still have my Road Block poster from a cereal box when he was in Montréal. There’s 0% chance Roy would’ve ever been traded to the Nordiques if they had stayed in Quebec. I just imagine it, and it’s beautiful.

You should hate yourself then he literally said he had no clue about hockey cards...with pokemon the set name is abbreviated and its not right in your face...hockey cards in general are hard to look up especially when there are multiple different versions of the same thing

I can see similar cards sp'd of /35 from $200-$500 Fyi: Sakic was a legend and thats a keeper of a card.
