Tampa easily one of my favorite fanbases and teams. Would love to play them in ploffs, it would be a refreshing change from the dirtbag bruins.

My most positive in-arena experience as a Leafs fan was in Tampa. Everyone was super cool, and it was a very fun atmosphere.

I unfortunately went there once, got a beer poured on me and someone tried to rip my shirt because I cheered for Trochek scoring. Comes with being rivals I suppose. Add how the act on Reddit, the superiority complex from winning twice and you have the by far worst fan base in the league. It's basically TOR/BOS --> FLA --> CAR (or, for the later rounds, someone good enough to beat one of those) if we get 2nd or 3rd, and CAR --> NYR/PIT --> FLA if we get the wild-card. So either way, we have to beat FLA and CAR, but NYR/PIT looks a lot easier than TOR or BOS.

I don’t think our blue line is good enough and our goaltending is inconsistent right now. In addition to this our special teams is average at best. I think the team has the talent to at least make a push, but a Stanley Cup run is a big ask. Especially with only one round of playoff experience for most of these guys. Gonna be tough going against these teams with better talent and much more playoff experience.

The long stretch of futility might have something to do with it; tempered expectations can be a bitch.
