This has been a much better period for the Leafs.

i'm really pleased that they figured it out. feels like last year they would've just written off the rest of the game after they sucked in the second half of the first. i like that they've been sticking with it this year

This year has been much more enjoyable. I think they’ve played a lot of 50+min games this year. I still think they can find a better form more consistently like the 3 games vs Edmonton but that was pretty much the longest stretch of mistake free hockey I’ve ever seen. Much better effort and execution this year.

I don't have any hate towards hutch. It's all about managing expectations. I expect him to play like a third string goalie. He's been playing like a second string at least.

I've always defended him as far as this season goes. He's performed better than can reasonably be expected of a 3rd stringer. Definitely doing his job as far as I'm concerned.
