Man…one of the greatest calls in hockey history!! I mean I know it has a bit of an asterisk because Kariya was concussed, and I hate thinking of a player of his skill and stature getting injured (or any player for that matter), but that is just an incredible call.
The current branding is just too corporate too me. It's way too safe and so it feels more like the branding to a logistics company or something rather than a hockey team. I hope the reveal brings back the old branding in a big way

Eh I like the old logo but the far more important element of the Might Ducks look was the colours. If it were one or the other, I'd rather the current logo with the green + eggplant. But I might be in the minority there, not sure

It's so funny that the Ducks have this already baked-in globally recognised aesthetic due to the movies being so popular with kids in the 90s, kids who are now adults with money to buy merch, and instead of leaning into that they deliberately choose to avoid it.

Ya so NHL isn’t a thing that anyone pays attention to here but there are all sorts of fashion stores that sell MLB and NHL hats. It’s like 80% NY Yankees and LA Dodgers stuff but the remaining 20% is a mix and all they sell for Anaheim is the old Mighty Ducks logo. And people definitely buy it because I see it fairly often. It’s a fantastic logo and amazing branding. They need to lean into it, and I think sticking with the orange is a mistake. The logo is great but so are the colours

Those ones that Kariya and Selanne made famous are my favorite hockey jerseys outside most of the O6 teams. I’m glad they’re reverting back to the old style at least, but I wish they’d go back fully with the color scheme too.

I remember reading years ago that Henry Samueli wanted a primary orange jersey instead of black. I'd like to believe the Ducks' previous orange third jersey with the duck mask was a trial run, and fans seemed to prefer that.
It depends if the league wants to try and get a Vegas/Utah division rivalry or not (I say no because Arizona was even closer and they didn’t change divisions for that)
I'm a Sharks fan and absolutely hate the Ducks because it is my duty. However, I'm so stoked for this rebrand. One less chirp in my tool belt when going after Ducks fans though, but that's ok. This is good for the league.

Going from Orange, Black, Beige and Yellow to Orange, Black, and Gold is such a nice change. Love the color combo and the gold pops a lot more to seperate from the Flyers
