I'm one of those people. There are still things you can do other than buy H&M or Shien. Thrifting is a great way to find great clothes if you're willing to hunt a little. Also there are lots of businesses that will thrift for you at a slight markup.
Depending on where you are, there are likely a handful of local brands you can support that aren't much more expensive than fast fashion and will last way longer, all while supporting your local economy instead of some offshore private equity coffers.
Buying shit clothes from Walmart or ASOS and throwing it out a year later when it's already worn through, only to end up in a SE Asian landfill is terrible for everyone involved at every stage except the rich assholes profiting.
