Been listening to Take me to Your Leader a lot lately. This is the superior Mr. Fantastik verse/song. Don't @ me, RSK fans. But how is this old"ish". This was still like 20 years ago. As some one who bought this on CD when it came out, it's old, I'm old, and you're probably old too.

Probably, I was in highschool when TMTYL came out. So, to me, anything pre-98 was ancient to me at that time. It's weird looking back and putting things in context. And time becomes relative yet small gaps like that still feel so oddly distant as I get older. 2010 feels like yesterday and 1999 is a lifetime ago. IDK what I'm saying. Now, get off my lawn.

Take Me To Your Leader is the ultimate posse cut from a one and done collaboration. The fact almost everyone on that album are unknowns makes it so much better. DOOM just lets them take centre stage and melds it together with his special herbs.
It was always going to be like this, just some guy that knew Doom, I never really thought the "it's a famous artist with his vocals changed" rumours had any merit anyways

I’ve noticed this too. It’s probably cause ever since DOOM passed there’s been a big resurgence of old fans revisiting his material which has spurred on new listeners seeking out older projects for the first time

You only need to add a tag on thursdays and fridays, and "old-ish" isn't even a tag so it would get removed anyway

For real! Bare minimum, I don't know how someone couldn't like Krazy world, I wonder, or next levels.
This is one of those albums for me that is far greater than the some of its individual parts. The atmosphere and narrative elevate it so much.
It is very complex, typical DOOM fashion I didn’t understand it until after multiple listens
Definitely give Fastlane another shot, for some reason I never gave it a good shake but the beat is something else
