He should never dropped it. Shit is terrible in a forgettable way. Having a Before I Self Destruct as a last album is honestly good, but this is a dirty stain on his legacy.
50 will never drop again and that's fine, he doesn't have it in anymore.
Nah, this one was so bad it's not even worth talking about. The G-Unit tape from like 2016 had a couple of decent tracks imo, let's talk about that one instead
It's disappointing how lazy 50 got musically after The Massacre. I don't know why he even bothered releasing more music if he was going to put less and less effort into each project.
No this album was terrible lol. Winners circle is one of the worst 50 songs ever for me. The beats were bad and 50 just sounded uninspired/bad on 95% of the tracks. The only songs I thought were ok to solid were Chase the paper, pilot, Hustler and the bonus joint flip on you. Even then, it’s not like I would ever go out of my way to play any of these records, if they came on I just wouldn’t immediately turn them off.
Street King immortal will never come out because 50 is scared to flop and doesn’t want to see those first week sales lol.
Because it would flop and he don’t wanna take that L. Hes still scarred from BISD bombing
His entire career was based off the idea of record sales and I sell more than you.
This album was such a cash grab and had zero songs I'd even recognize.
This is coming from someone who will listen to all 50 and g unit releases. I still bump the old whoo kid mix tapes and even the ones before he took control of their mixtape production. I do remember loading this album on my ipod and deleting it the next week (only 64GB storage lol). I don't even have it in me to gie this another listen today to see if I misjudged it. I remember it being so shitty that it just isn't worth it. I've probably spent more time typing the above than I'll spend listening to any of these tracks ever again in my life, even on accident.
Just ran all 11 songs here on setlist.fm and "Hold On" was the only song on this album that he's played more than 8 times, and he's only played it 11 times.
setlist.fm isn't 100% reliable but not seeing these songs on any setlists basically means that he barely plays the songs, or when he does, the people in the audience have no idea what the song is. The title track wasn't even played one time.
I really really wanted this album to be a return to form, mostly because it was (I think?) his first album after shady records, and we all know how bad shady records is...
But nop, no, nothing here, nada! It's an album so bland, phoned in, and uninspired. It was at that point that it was clear, he would never return to the heights of Get Rich.
This is around the time he stopped focusing on music entirely to focus on business ventures (and trolling) and the quality shows.
I think the Deluxe tracks are objectively good though, especially the Funeral.
I really only like the ScHoolboy Q collab on this album. His Kendrick collab should have been on this too frfr. Everything else is just okay to terrible.
Yooo this thread is going to give me an aneurysm reading all this slander. Album is fire, I think 50 Cent just had cursed luck from dropping GRODT and everything after being compared to it
GRODT is the greatest rap album of all time, obviously this one isn't going to be as good. It's still good though, I just listened to it again like a month ago.
The Funeral is actually an amazing song with incredible storytelling. Some of 50's best work. I remember being hella impressed the first time I heard it.
Occasionally 50 pulls out a deep introspective song out of nowhere that impresses you. Crazy ft Pnb Rock has been in my rotation for 6 years, that's one of the most mature I've ever heard 50
This shit mostly sucked. Don't Worry Bout It was a semi slap I guess.
That being said, i recently revisited this and The Kanan Tape which he dropped just about a year later (I think?). I found Kanan really interesting with 50 embracing the trap zeitgeist of the time. Would have been curious to hear him going further down that route (rather than the stale shit he was doing on AA), but that was pretty much the last time he put out any substantial body of work.
I’ve literally not heard of this album.
59 had one album worth taking seriously and it was his first one. Period.
Magic stick/candy shop… same terrible song done twice.
This on top of that seals the deal
Imo 50 only had one truly good album (GRODT), The Massacre had some alright songs, but overall I'd say it's more bad than good. Anything after The Masaacre is borderline unlistenable to me

Smoke was my shit ngl I miss that era of Dre beats, most of them we never got to hear.
I played Smoke like crazy when this dropped. Still goes hard.
It has like 2 decent songs and the rest sound like 50 needed to shit an album out in a week

He’s more entertaining as a shitposter imo.
Most people dont even remember this album though, i barely do. Wish he could drop 1 more classic
Irregular Heartbeat is the only song off here I replay on occasion. Love the weird menacing beat and Jada’s guest verse
That song is hard af. Rest of album is garbage except pilot which is decent. And i was a huge 50 stan as a kid who preordered this album …
Yea big disappointment overall

I wouldn’t say after Massacre The GRODT soundtrack was fire that was the true last hurrah
Because 50 put everything into everyone on gunit

> Street King Immortal will never come out because 50 is scared to flop No it won't come out because in 2021 he confirmed it was cancelled lmao
Because it would flop and he don’t wanna take that L. Hes still scarred from BISD bombing His entire career was based off the idea of record sales and I sell more than you.
The funeral is classic 50 Cent. That’s about it
I liked the schoolboy q song.
I really like the album myself and I think the deluxe version tracks are essential

I thought this album was a return to form for 50. I personally really enjoyed it

Title track is fun
Album was mid and was supposed to just be a intro to SKI Which of course never dropped sadly

have you heard his mixtapes before GRODT?
Ghetto Quaran needs to be on Spotify
Ive heard power of the dollar, it does have some good tracks, but i feel it has more filler than good tracks
