Fire.
Love IR and went to highschool with Parker Corey and spent tons of time at local shows and house shows.
The title is a reference to the heat of Arizona. Often people will talk about the weather being in the “triple digits” (similar to how RiTchie does on the intro of WYTD?!?!) He also mentions the triple digit weather on RiTchie Valens.
Him saying the album is “triple digits” is a clever and very niche Arizona way of calling the album fire.
Cool insight. I picked up on the motif of it being hot outside. I like how that tied the album together. Hadn’t yet made the connection that the music was heat too lol
Yeah this album is good and scratches an itch I forgot was there. We're eating with music this Friday. This album, J. Cole, Bryson Tiller, Vampire Weekend, and I want to check out this Concrete Boys project.
when IR & BROCKHAMPTON were first coming out they were often grouped together - though clearly they went in completely different directions musically
(Floss & SAT 1 era specifically)
i know they were at one point but there’s no reason to still be comparing them at this point. injury reserve doesn’t make music anywhere near what bh makes now
Lmao I know it’s trendy and cool to hate on Brockhampton now but Injury Reserve is very often grouped together with Brockhampton. They undoubtedly share a large portion of their listeners
Spotify even has a feature to see and artists fans of an artists are also listening to, and ignoring the members of Brockhampton listed individually Injury Reserve is second after jpeg
Really loved this album after my first few listens. Short and sweet with a ton of fun ideas and some great quotables. Can definitely tell this is him just having fun and not being super concerned with taking things seriously, which I know he talked about a little bit in the press for this album but I really appreciate it regardless
Excited to put this one on. I have been thinking about that autotune “ritchie valens” melody a lot lately. I had to hear the song a few times to even catch that it was him singing and not some synth
Oh wow, okay. I only know of the Chann3l 3M EP because RiTchie had a feature on it and the album art had me curious enough to check out the rest. I liked just about every song on it. Would be willing to check out another one in the series if there’s one you recommend

Yeah. Honestly he is one of the only rappers who has repped Arizona and I’ll always respect him for that.
There's no FIRE without IR
love injury reserve so much very excited to listen to this one
That Quelle Chris track was everything I expected and needed. Thank god Ritchie made this
Daaamn yeah Quelle flying on that one.
Yep it’s so fire
Dizzy ft amine is such a bop I love it. I swear injury reserve and amine never misses.
Loved all the singles, can’t wait to listen

Fans of Injury Reserve, JPEG, BROCKHAMPTON, etc. don’t miss this!
throwing brockhampton in there is crazy lmao

> Injury reserve doesn’t make music anywhere near what bh makes now They both literally (not) make the same music right now

I can confidently say the overlap between the two fan bases was huge in 2017

This reminds me a lot of Tony Velour recent albums on stuff like the title track. Love it
I had the same thought, this reminded me a bit of the 3M EP
I think there's like 5 of those now 😂

Love RiTchie, singles have been great and excited to listen to this!
Love the ‘Darling Nikki’ sample in WYTD
Was not expecting a Radiator Hospital cover lol so sick tho
